One thing is what they say, another thing is what they do. The episode is ready, it's in for certification witch first needs to start, and then finnish, witch takes several workdays or weeks...

Nooooooooo I dont want to wait more days or weeks.. I want it NOW!!!

    (sarcasm)

Release it early, unfinished with glitches and all because I want to play it then I can come back here and flame TTG for and inferior product.

Ok, great informative posts reguarding marketing and specifics...i bought a five part game that was supposed to be released monthly. I dont care at this point why thats not what I am receiving but Im bot and its frustrating to be wondering when it will happen. Sounds like my son trying to explain why he couldnt get a project in on time. Lol. im sure it will be put soon and im looking foward to it just frustrated. I wish the power company were more like telltale with their monthly schedule :)

Lazy mofos, if I had a few million people waiting on me, I wouldn't take the weekend off...well I work weekends anyway so grow a pair telltale...stop with the bullshit, i feel like a woman, one minute overjoyed the next (more often than not) pissed off, just give people information...you managed it when changing monthly to periodically, it's not even about completion of episode 3, it's the certification process (how long does that really take? Not a few days I'm guessing, are they running on windows 95 or something?)
  • edited August 2012
they'll only work weekends when they see the forum about to explode with rage when a confirmed release date is close enough to taste...

Darn. That sucks. I was crossing my fingers that I would get it of work and have a new game to play tonight.

It's raining out. When it rains it pours!

For those talking about glitches in the game, and not wanting it early with the risk of having them, did ya'll play episode 2?

Hello, glitch city! And that took a long time to finish and release as well.

I'm just getting tired of this, they say mid-august then they update saying they are almost done with it and are going to send it in for certification and some time and let us know when they hear back. I mean jesus christ, do we really have to wait till September to play episode 3? Enough is enough, i'm so done with telltale after this game.

Oh and by the way, as far as release date guesses go, my money's on who gives a crap. They already pissed off a large portion of their customers.

Some of their guys do work weekends (or at least have in the past) for crunchtime, but they have to eat and sleep and avoid going crazy too. Releases are always done midweek so that they have all hands on deck.

i feel like a woman, one minute overjoyed the next (more often than not) pissed off

I know this is just a joke but the gaming community is pretty unfriendly to women in general, it would be appreciated if you could find a way to express yourself here without remarks like that.

What I wanna know is why the PC users gotta wait for Xbox and PS to get certified, and then have the Xbox get the release first?

Why not just release it for PC when its ready, let the people who bought on Xbox and PS go through their certification process, then they can judge for themselves wether to support the Xbox/PS again or switch to PC.

    Bullocks imo.

Because you can't get on XBLA if you don'T release the game before or at the same time than everyone else.
Which is huge bullshit from M$ side. I wish gamemakers would just start to ignore XBox and their restrictive terms.

I'd think they would miss out on a little bit of money if they were to do that

I do enjoy reading how mental people go when the games nears/passes it's intended release period. However I think it's unnecessary for the "senior" members to make digs at newer members of the boards. Surely you can let them have their say without attacking them? Even if it is a some wild conspiracy theory or just them raging. Yes you've heard it all before and you're getting tired of it but isn't that more of a reason to ignore it and move on? Just don't like seeing less educated/informed (regarding the situation) people attacked because they weren't around at the time or didn't take the time to rummage through pages and pages of forums or articles to find the relevant info.

    Hello, glitch city!

Now we have people making up things to whine about. I don't think a few glitches should cause a game to be referred to as glitch city.

Not surprised... The amount of people just in these forums complaining when episode 2 was delayed was crazy. I'm sure there were plenty of complaints filed with BBB.

Wikipedia isn't exactly the most reliable source. Probably just someone trying to get hopes up and have them dashed when it doesn't happen.

Yeah.. I mean I figure there were complaints before but was that when the complaints really shot up?
  • edited August 2012
yes, they shot up in 7/2012

Yeah. I couldn't imagine contacting BBB because of a delay, to me it's ridiculous.

I'm not sure how BBB's rating system works but if a companys rating falls before a case is closed or resolved then that IMO would be a flawed rating system. If that's how it works anyway.

Well, that's a blatant lie, because they haven't announced that... unless we all missed something. :p

The "reference" for that little nugget is an article that says: "Telltale Games has announced that The Walking Dead Episode Three: “The Long Road Ahead” will be due out in the middle of August, though they have not confirmed an official release date. "

The release dates on Wikipedia are not accurate. Until a date has been announced by Telltale themselves (in blog, email, or on this forum), take it with a grain of salt.

i know wikipedia isnt a reliable source but its the best we can do to keep some hope in TellTale Games. i dont believe what wikipedia says unless the game or info is already out. the site says August 22nd but its hard to believe because wouldnt TellTale have announced that on here or through twitter. We will just have to wait and see what happens on August 22nd

When some dude from Ipswich edits wikipedia with false information, it's exactly good for WHAT?

There's absolutely no sense in even considering any of the info in there.

And please learn to edit your posts. Double posts are really annoying.
