Seriously, come here for updates. Nice joke, you were 'updated' 2 months ago. Pretty up to date. eh?

Actually, I got an update a week or so ago. No joke. Thanks for your concern though.

And why should you get something for free? You're still gonna get your episodes that you paid for. Jeez. I dont get it.

Why? correct me if im wrong because i am not completely filled in on the situation but is this not supposed to be monthly? it has been what? 2 + months since last episode?? like i said in previous i am more than willing to pay full for the episode and if you knew me, i think youd see im anything but cheap and unfair with respect to money but im just saying that there is more than enough to say as to answer your question.

When Telltale first started they actually put out set dates before the season was released.. so when you ordered Sam & Max Season 1 they had already said episode 1 June 24, episode 2 July 26 etc etc.. The problem with this was episodes would be released on the day they said they would, but the episodes would come out with heaps of bugs etc, they wern't really polished and you could tell they were crunching and rushing that final week to get the episode out on the day they had said they would a few months ago.. I remember arguing back then to have 2 months between episodes so they had enough time to finish the episodes properly and take into account the feedback from fans. For Sam and Max season 1, everyone argued it was too easy, but they'd already produced 3 episodes, before they could add that feedback into episode 4, even though ep1 had just been released. I know Walking Dead was promised as monthly, but I'd much rather they released the episodes every 2 months if they maintain the quality of the first 2 episodes, because if they do, it will be the greatest and most successful game Telltale has done.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but has episode 3 already lost its mojo due to its "not being released on time"?

Monthly was changed to periodically. It has most definitely not been over 2 months since episode 2 was released.

Again. You will receive what you paid for, not in the time you expected but you will receive it. If they cancelled the remaining episodes I could see getting a refund or a freebie.

So with this logic, you would be happy going to a movie theater, buying your tickets, and then just as you are sitting down, they announce to come back another night. You are better than me if you honestly can say you would not complain in that situation. Especially when they tell you as you walk out that they will let you know sometime when you can get what you paid for.

Completely different situation. I paid for this knowing that I would have to wait. Also, going to a movie theater and seeing a movie is my time, gas, etc. wasted. The only thing invested in this game is money. And like I said before, I will get what I paid for so the wait doesn't bother me. I've enjoyed the game, and think TT is doing a hell of a job. The money has been well spent.

Then what if on October 14 when season 3 premieres on AMC, instead of the new episode they play a rerun with no explanation about why, and during the commercials in the rerun there are ads for the premiere of Season 3.

That is a pretty analogous situation to me.

I might be upset about it but I'd get over it and watch it when it finally comes on. I definitely wouldn't complain about it constantly and demand a refund from my cable provider.

Edit: It's a game. A game. A game. Some people are going to develop a heart condition over the delay of a game (oh and 25 bucks or whatever it was). It's crazy to me.

Let's say you booked your tickets beforehand then. The situation suddenly works!
They DID promise a monthly release at first when people bought it and changed their plans after we'd paid so it's fair that people are upset

I dont consider myself a dedicated fan of this game and by that I mean obsessed. This game holds little to no value in my life. However, it seems that you are in a very clear minority. These forums exist to discuss the game and this thread specifically shows that many are unhappy, not enraged or upset but not satisfied with the time it took for episode 3 to come out. The only reason I am vocal in this forum is because this game/ tt which has a relatively small following and not anywhere near the fanbase of major games is just not holding its word or schedule.

Thats great that whenever it does come out it will hopefully be bug / glitch free (it better be) but I dont see how this could have taken it THAT much of a time to ensure that. I mean its a 5 episode series which follows a storyline based off a show, I think fans should be able to play a MONTHLY epsiode. Very similiar to COD where you can almost ensure that a game will be produced annually. Like I said the realease date of this game will have no greater impact on my life besides I will get to enjoy somewhere aorund 60 min. of entertainment BUT telltale clearly tanked this one.

Holding them off all on your own? Brave of you. Couldn't we just slam the door and post a notice?

Please explain how this is any different than the original question? Booking tickets beforehand changes nothing. You still waste gas and time to go to the theater.. With this game you just wait for it, and I can do anything I want while waiting.

OK, I'll talk about this metaphor a third time. You said earlier "I paid for this knowing that I would have to wait." as you do then you reserve a seat. I can change it more if you want a perfect fit.
You booked it beforehand AND you live nextdoor to the movies.

um no... i think most of us including myself think that it would be right if we got some compensation whether that be a "special" look at episode 4 or just get episode 3 free or discounted. way to blow it out of proportion though

Someone tell this guy what "entitlement" is and shape him up for a rational conversation with me. I hate it when people don't understand your terminology and just repeat themselves.

As for why I come back here all the time: I love this forum. This thread sucks, but I really like coming here and having something to say. I make it a point to visit every new thread as they're posted and argue what needs to be argued and look for jokes that others overlook. Just because this one thread is a vicious circle doesn't mean I'll stop coming to it.

They said the game would be ready not that you could play it. They said it was about to be released for certification to xbox and ps3. So 2 or 3 weeks if it passes, longer if not. PC users have to wait on consoles for it to be released.

    Please release 3
    Let it go
    For I'm done waiting anymore
    To waste our lives
    Would be a sin
    Release 3
    And let me play again.

    Please release 3
    Let it go
And then soon after number 4
    When it arrives
    Complaining ends
    Release 3
    And we'll never moan again

    Um, sorry.

IT IS STILL THE SAME THING (not an angry nor an andy caps, a caps to get my point across). My time would be wasted going to the theater. With this game I am waiting but I am waiting at home, work, or wherever where I can do what I want. If I were to go to the theater (that I don't live beside) then it would be a waste of my time so they are completely different situations. Come up with something better next time, k pumpkin?

If it is being released this week it should be announced sometime today.

This company sucks. If you can't put out a game monthly, have the nuts to admit you couldn't handle the task and issue some season pass refunds! Such a waste of 20$ All you fam boys can stroke telltale all you want but I for one will NEVER give your failure of a company one more cent.

Fam boys? As in family boys? Are you saying we're all brothers in this wait for the game? If so, then I welcome you brother. Thanks for joining our family. Also, have to give a shout out to the sisters.

Or wait. Did you forget the R? Did you just call us farm boys? I, for one, am from the city so that just doesn't make sense.

    I'm confused.

Oh yeah. What's is this refund you speak of?

It's funny to think that we'd be getting the final episode if it was monthly. Ah well.

IIICHICAGOIII: they didnt fail this time, this month is not over yet and they said, in the middle of aug and that can be anywehre from 1-31, but yes they did fail epic on episode 2 but still i think we should give them one more chance, and i can tell you if this month goes by and there is no releas i will stand by your side :P
