It's quite bad that the delivery system that has the least restrictions with regards to getting new content onto it is also the last one to get it's content. I can't see any other reason than console exclusivity, again.

Does any mod know whether or not it will actually release today?

Have heard various things across the internet, that it will for sure be today, and that it will for sure be tomorrow.

    Ugh.

The ONLY official thing is that it will release today - and that means during Telltale's office's business hours. This leaves them almost three and a half hours to still make it.

I get a little hopeful at every half hour/hour mark.

If telltale was any more abusive towards us, we'd score a heartbreaking interview with Oprah...

The entitlement is strong in this thread. And that's coming from someone who campaigned in favor of the new Mass Effect 3 ending.
Cried about the ending in ME3? Then you ARE the ultimate word in entitlement. Glad to see you can recognize it in yourself. In others, well, it's best not to be too judgmental until you've walked in their shoes.

At this rate so will Aug 29th

My Mid August comment was extreme sarcasm. I have Steam up and i just keep seeing updates, check my game list. Nope not TWD, Just another Portal 2 update.

Wait.... another..... Nope Left for Dead 2 update.

WOO HOO This must be it..... downloading..... Damn, just Team Fortress 2 update

Don't believe everything you read on the internet! Mods rarely (if ever) know any more than the general community does about this stuff... as far as we know, it's releasing today as already announced.

I get it now. Long Road Ahead is a metaphor for future releases. Tin foil hat activate.

    +1

    I like it.

I was bummed at the end of Mass Effect 3 but i sure wasnt going to cry about it. It is their game, their story. If they feel it should end very bleak, than so be it.

I have seen many excellent movies have endings that depressed me, but it was still a great movie.

Just as Mass Effect 3 was a great game

When I saw the 40% off TWD game I thought "Could this be? Aww damn **** you and your midweek madness"

Can't be long now. Someone reassure me! :(

The worst thing about this is the lack of updates from staff. Would it really be that hard for someone working there to take five minutes to come onto the forums and give a quick "we're working on it, should be ready in 2 hours" or "it's not us, it's Steam" or something? Keeping us in the dark shows a massive lack of respect for customers.

Disagree. Not arguing about that here.

Anyway, I already apologized for that post. Scroll up or hit back or something and you'll see it.

Didnt some mod here mention how it's going to come before midnight guaranteed?

Love how TTG just shits over the community which got them started all along, the PC.

Thanks a lot for the responses, mods. Makes me feel better about staying home today rather than going to my studio hahaha. Now, to be patient.....

This is what I'm thinking and why I'm confused that the game hasn't released on PC yet. Not only that but it's close to three hours after the projected time to release and we've got no idea when this is going to release.

I just want my Walking Dead fix so I can stop avoiding all the spoilers online and join in the discussions.

Alternatively, they could have focused their work on the consoles first, as those versions will essentially be subject to a freeze for the one or two weeks of certification. They planned to finalize the PC version during those days, but that didn't work out as expected, which causes an additional delay. Or maybe not.

It isn't the place to discuss it, but you seem to misunderstand the fundamental reasoning behind players who demanded a new ending - if you'd really like an explanation, I'd be glad to explain the issue to you over PM.

Hey, is the game out yet?

I believe you. Just decided to comment while waiting.

It was more a retort to the people who did whine and moan leading them to release an alternate ending for a ME 3.

I hope none of those people ever saw Saving Private Ryan

common sense tells me that they cant do this because of legal reasons. (still i dont know for sure.) but anyway, they posted the specific dates for the specific platforms and countries on their blog.

    just. wait.

no, steam doesn't do midnight releases, once they're out of the office, games don't come out. Unless you're activision or Bethesda

Just seems a bit of a dick move to sit here and mock people with a specific viewpoint on a matter without being willing to hear that viewpoint out, and instead casting about your own misinformed opinions about those people, but I mean hey whatever.

Also, for anybody that was around for the release of the second episode (I bought the season pass right after it was released), how does Steam let me know that the new episode is out? Will it just automatically start updating? Will I even notice a difference? What's the deal with that?

Nope! And if they did, they wouldn't have meant midnight in Germany. Episode 3 should release "today" Telltale time, i.e. US west coast / PDT.

6 PM on Eastern Standard... Steam version... still no Episode 3. Does anyone know what Valve is doing? The achievements were loaded more than 12 hours ago.
