i think having clem as the lead protagonist would be something different..

true some may not like being a young girl but most people love kids and it gives us a different game, where smarts are needed over brute force.

When you talk to Clementine for the last time all those Alerts that "Clementine will remember that." came up. So I have a feeling all those things you told her before you (Lee) dies will determine how season 2 will start up.

Nah, unlikely. People will lose their saves before season2 (one year? two?) is out, it would be pointless. It's like "Doug will remember that" before being shot...

TBH I wished they would have just been Christa and Omid and left it at that. That would've been good closure while still keeping it ambitious for a sequel...

I'm hoping season 2 will deal with another group of survivors entirely but all know the zombie rules of survival. Bites, all dead turn, no noise, etc.

If characters from season 1 show up they should not be playable and link up with the new group as guest characters.

can someone remind me of any unanswered questions i have missed
    1.what happened to lilly
    2.what happened to molly
3.did ben or kenny survive the allyway (not likely)
4.was it christa and omid on the hill (and why were they and clem in the country?)
5.why did vernon and his group go aggresive and were did they go
6.is christa pregnant (as many think)

what are our thoughts on these in regards to season 2

    1. She left and lived in Woodbury the remainder of her life.
    2. Unknown
    3. They both died as seen in the character recap
    4. More than likely
    5. They were assholes, doing what everyone would do, take take take and not give two shits. Fuck Vernon, he's an asshole.
6.Yes, Lee knows as he states; "Christa, I should go first, you are climbing for TWO."

I wouldn't mind seeing Omid and Christa meet up with Clem and maybe Molly will save Kenny or something (unlikely). But one thing I hope Telltale does should they continue with these characters is bring Lilly back. It's possible since Telltale's Lilly is different than Kirkman's Lilly. Seeing her and Kenny together would definitely spice things up for the second season again. All in all this was a great season. Plus it's only been 3 months into the apocalypse. I still find it crazy how we lost Carley/Doug , Chuck , Katjaa , Duck , Lilly , Kenny , Ben and Lee in like the 3 days since they left the Motor Inn. Absolutely crazy.

The two mysteries I want to see revealed in Season 2 - The guys/gals on the cliff. (That's almost certain, atleast I think so, will be revealed in season 2) And Kenny. Did he survive? Is he dead? The character recap could just be fucking with us. You can never trust anything.

I believe it's been confirmed somewhere by Telltale Lily isn't the Lily who appeared in the comics. That Lily got her father named in a novel and it's not Larry.

In season two, I think that it is Christa and Omid on the hill. I think that you will begin with a brand new protagonist, who will meet up with the group of Christa, Omid, and Clem later. Throughout the next season characters will cycle through, until it's just the protagonist and Clem.

Molly rescuing Kenny + finding Clem by random and then bringing them both to Omid & Christa would make a good first EP os Season 2. And at the end whatever choices you made as Molly make her stay in group or not. Aaah the possibilities :D:D

The thing about The Walking Dead universe, is that usually once you pass a character by, you don't return to them. Characters left behind are usually just that, left behind.

I don't expect to see Kenny or Molly again, whether they survived or not, nor do I suspect we'll ever know for sure either way. Same goes for Omid and Christa.

Who was that coming over the horizon at the end? Whoever you want it to be. Any one who has seen the post-apocalyptic movie/book 'The Road' will be familiar with a similarly ambiguous ending.

Ideally, we never find out, and season 2 contains a completely different set of characters. That would be staying true to the world of The Walking Dead.

The game is set in the world of the comic though, not the TV show!

so anyone know anything about this yet?

also did anyone else not get the ''what remains'' achievement (colmplete chapter 8 of ep 5)
is this a secret ending or a glitch?
  • edited November 2012
What about Lilly? I bet she isn't done for... Evil b**ches like her never are. By the way, I got the "What remains" achievement, it's must be a glicth you didn't. In reality, the full game is chock full of glitches. I get nada achis from ep II because of them. ZERO.

I'd like Clementine to return and for the season to pick up where the epilogue left. She would approach the figures whom I assume would be the protagonists whom then take Clementine with them.

I dont like the idea of Clementine getting a new guardian. Replacing Lee would just make me nerd-rage. But maybe she fends for herself with the new group? I also hope there are relapses of season one and baww moments when you can reminisce about Lee. Something cute I imagine is when the group ask her name and she'd reply "Clementine Everett", actually seeing Lee as a father to her, in some respect.

Whatevers on its way, it better not take too long, you hear me, TellTale Staff?!

That sums up my thoughts completely.

Lee and Clem's story definitely needs completion this season.

I agree with everything you've stated besides the female perspective.

yes i really hope to see season 2 within 2013 (not that i want them to rush it) just cause i need more of this story , i enjoyed every moment of this game

The idea of Clementine making an appearance later on in Season 2 (I think it would be suitable to start it off at the beginning of the apocalypse, like with Season 1) is very appealing and very much possible. Those two figures on the hill COULD be Omid and Christa, who knows?

I have this idea that all of the stuff you told her in the final Episode (Like 'keep that hair short') might cause her to remember and even quote it in Season 2. I believe that Clementine's going to be a lot stronger (mentally) this time around, on account of all that she's been through. We might even have another Carl Grimes on our hands.

I really do hope that none of the characters from season one make it to season 2. Maybe Christa and Omid, but I don't want to see Clementine again. I liked her, she was a good character, but the taking care of a child in a zombie apocalypse thing is done. It was done well, let's move on to a different concept.

Agreed. Though a cameo or even a whole episode with her as a secondary character wouldn't be so bad.

Here's what I think makes the most sense.

You wont be playing Clem. At least thats what makes the most sense. Why would they have you develope her and her decision thinking if youre just going to take over in season 2? Complete waste of time and a slap in the face if they do. I was disapointed in how your decisions didnt change the ending (why would she be out in a field if you told her to stay in cities?) but Im hoping that those decisions on her determine how the 2nd Season starts.

The people on the horizon: Definetly not O+C. Given the face she made maybe walker versions of them or someone from prev episodes? Im saying this because shes dealt with walkers before and given the situation, shes at a great distance. She has a log behind her. She could even choose to run but yet she looks on in shock. Obviously someone she knows or 2 people alive and shes torn between joining/following or not.

    Who knows.

    Episode 5 4/10

I, for one, would love to see a second season. If there is one, what, and whom, might you think the story would revolve around? Whether it revolves around Clementine (and possibly Omid and Christa, if they survived) or a new cast, and where might it take place.
  • edited November 2012
For one a second season has already been confirmed.

Secondly, I think it'll be a little of both of your options.
  • edited November 2012
i think the protecting clementine thing has been done and the second season will feature a new character obviously but this time i think he will be looking after his gf or wife or another survivor that throughout the game will become lovers. however i do think some of the character we saw in season one will return, like lily and glenn...maybe even the protagonist of season 2 will be glenn...who knows.
  • edited November 2012
you play as Glen? im pretty sure both lily and glen will make a comeback in season 2.
  • edited November 2012
Now that we're done with the story of Lee Everett and Clementine.....something, we mist speculate what the next story will be. Personally, I did not like the cliffhanger ending. I would've been satisfied if a silhouette on the hill waved his arm and yelled "Clementine!" and it would be Omid. But it just makes me feel like they're going to continue with the story of Clementine, even though I'm a supporter of an all new storyline.

There are many different paths for TellTale to take with season 2.
    2 major concepts are:
    1. going 'dare', leaving out Clem for at least the majority of the season, taking up a very different set of characters with a very different storyline and making something almost totally new.
    2. playing fanservice, following Clementine, meeting the old faces, playing "safely". Actually, I can even see this turn out as making Clementine the real protagonist, while the current character you play is merely the medium through whose eyes you see her journey through the world of TWD.

Also, somebody written that they would like to see a disabled player character, like blind or deaf. I was genuinely LOL-ing on that. I mean, seriously, and playing a game with black screen or no sounds? I cannot "see" that happening. :P ALso, playing as Clem and no zombie bashing with car repair tools? Naaaaah.
  • edited November 2012
im 100% that it will be a new story without clem but later her story and the story of glen and lily will emerge and your protagonist will meet these people somehow.
  • edited November 2012
With an ending as ambiguous as that, they'd better continue where we left off. :O
  • edited November 2012
I think Season 2 will pick up where Season 1 left off, but you play as Clementine, now that Lee taught you how to protect yourself. The scene after the credits seems to suggest that the two figures in the distance could be Christa and Omid. The 3 of them would be reunited and then try to survive on their own and meet new groups of people to survive with. Either Season 2 will start immediately afterwards, or some time later when Clementine is a little older.

I think having Season 2 involve a completely new cast will seem a little too disconnected with what transpired in Season 1.

I would not mind carrying on the story with Clem.
  • edited November 2012
They could start a new story line whole new group of people

But then people would be stuck with what happen to Clem Clem....
  • edited November 2012
They'd have to continue the clementine story because if they don't there would have been no reason to have the after credit scene cliffhanger. It could have ended where Lee died and no after credit scene. Its building it up for the second season. This game is so great at doing that.

I'm not trying to tell Telltale that they should make another season but i felt like that the game might not need a second one. I loved the all the episodes and i thought the ending was a bit odd for the choices i made. Meaning that the choices didn't matter in a way. But Why would there need to be a second series for the Game world, Would it start from the beginning of the 'Apocalypse' or would it continue with Clem. Both seen utter ridiculous as another on the forum said are we going to be seeing Clem as a hardened Zombie killer? that just doesn't seem necessary. Also with a new group wouldn't it just be the same game but with slightly different issues? Maybe a new Personality here or there but the first one captured that pretty well (Children, Crazy old people, Psychos and Bandits). It would just be the same game in a different place. It taking place right after the first game with a NEW group of survivors would just be like a weird scavenging/farming game with zombies. the first game seemed to end with a good but confusing ending (were those two silhouettes Omid and Christa or zombies or strangers?). So I'm not telling TTG not to make a second one but where can they really go with it?

Sorry dude, wont' ever happen. Both are comic characters and won't be meeting anyone else that'll be in the games.

Yes we need a Season Two. With Clementine, please.
