clem should be the main char of the second season, i'd really like to know what's going to happen to her! with omid and christa they would make an interesting group of characters with lots of story potential: a little but strong girl, a hurt man with a cheerful soul and his pregnant (girl)friend.
First of all i must say The walking dead, was really a breathtaking experience, and probably the best game i've played of all time. I've never been so affected emotionally by a game before. The 4th episode really crushed me, and then the ending of the 5th episode oh man! I can't compliment the developers, enough for what they've achieved fantastic work!
I really enjoyed the game, and i'm a huge fan of the walking dead.
The question is, will there be a follow up?

so is everyone sure that it is christa and omid on the hill
I'm not at all convinced that it's them. The obvious answer isn't always the correct one and if it were them, why not simply show them? Though, truth be told, I'm also hoping that we don't actually play as Christa or Omid in season 2. I'd prefer a brand new character.
yep the walking dead game is so impactful its so saddening and i loved it , i really want to find out what happened to clem and find out for sure if the 2 on the hill after the credits were christa and omid (clem is like the only likable kid ever , characters in this game are great ) for season 2 there is plenty of possibility to bring characters back which would make sense for it to be set within a year after season 1 but it would be awesome to play as an older clem
I hope Molly decides to get the hell out of Savannah, and becomes the protagonist for season 2, possibly picking up the survivors of the first group along the way.
That way, there won't have to be a lot of exposition about who they are and what they've been doing in the (insert number here) months since the outbreak, since we already know her and some of her backstory.
We already know she's smart and adaptable, so it'd be interesting to see her having to learn how to use her skills in order to function in a group.
Also, she has a soft spot for Clementine, so that automatically qualifies her as a person of good taste.
can someone remind me of any unanswered questions i have missed
1.what happened to lilly
2.what happened to molly
3.did ben or kenny survive the allyway (not likely)
4.was it christa and omid on the hill (and why were they and clem in the country?)
5.why did vernon and his group go aggresive and were did they go
6.is christa pregnant (as many think)
what are our thoughts on these in regards to season 2
can someone remind me of any unanswered questions i have missed
1.what happened to lilly
1. Lilly turns up in the comics, so I think barring the game taking place in a very alternate universe/timeline, she won't be making any more appearances.
If Lee survived, I'd like to follow the same characters in Season 2.
But now I'd rather start over than play Krista or Omid. Following Clem with new people over and over would be repetitive, especially if each time they end up like Lee.
If they do follow people, I just hope they don't spend alot of time on learning the ropes of the Z-pac again. ( Bites being fatal, turning no matter how you die, etc )

1. Well, since she's intended to be the same Lilly from the comic, she's gone to Woodbury.
2. That was left ambiguous on purpose. Maybe she'll show up in Season 2.
3. Ben definitely not. He was impaled, so even if that one shot wasn't Kenny putting him down, he was still eaten alive. Kenny, like Molly, was left ambiguous.
4. Again, no one knows. No one will likely know until Season 2.
5. They were sick, they wanted out of the city. People do terrible things when they get desperate. That's what The Walking Dead is about. They wanted to live, and they didn't care who it affected. It's the same as our group taking the food from the car in the end of Episode 2.
6. Probably. If you notice the little exchange with Kenny handing her the bottle, she looks down at her stomach, then at him then back and takes it. Then you see Kenny's shocked reaction as he realizes why she hesitated. She drinks it anyway probably for many different reasons.
When you talk to Clementine for the last time all those Alerts that "Clementine will remember that." came up. So I have a feeling all those things you told her before you (Lee) dies will determine how season 2 will start up.
Nobody else thinks it'd be kind of repetitive to just have Clem being adopted again by some stranger? The bond between Lee and Clem was pretty special and not something you can just replicate with some random new character, imo at least.

You're not the only one. I'd prefer all new characters. Maybe Clem is in the first episode so we can see how she's doing but I don't want a whole season of playing her protector again.
...I hope Jesus will have mercy and resurrect him :O
xD
Well, if Clem didn't shoot him... he is resurrected .
As very well said in another thread, if we are to have as amazing characters in season 2 as this one, we either need to continue from where we are: Clem and two unknown, likely un-infected persons on the outskirts of Savannah.
Or...
Start over again at Day 0/1, getting to know new character in the middle of the zombie apocalype I doubt they can pull off, easier and better then to go back.
I'd like option 1 but option 2 is good if they pass time faster so that, at one point there is our protagonist and a ally on a field finding a little girl.
At this time I doubt though that even TTG have decided who these two characters are.
In the coming months, Telltale Games will release three more episodes of their adventure game The Walking Dead. They won't stop there, though. Telltale marketing executive Steve Allison said that they will create a second season eventually as well.
Episode 3 of Walking Dead will be available in August. "Following the digital release of our fifth episode we will also be coming to North American retail shortly thereafter and this will not be the last The Walking Dead game series that we do."
I'd prefer new characters but I just don't want to go through the typical zombie-tropes again until they learn the ropes. We know getting bit = infected, the dead come back no matter how they die etc, even the Season 1 had intresting ways of showing these to us, I hope Season 2 takes place a little ways in the apocalypse, maybe a Woodbury-like enviroment?
Well surely the cliffhanger after-credit scene would've given that away beyond the need to discuss. If anyone skipped it (or if different endings give different results), you see her upset, walking through a golden field.
Soon she stops near a ruined car and sits on a collapsed tree trunk.
On the horizon she notices two human-shaped figures walking by. One seeming to be a foot taller than the other. After a few moments the figures stop moving. It's not certain but it appears they noticed Clem and began to stare back at her.
Could be Christa and Omid. Could be Kenny and Ben (ALMOST certainly impossible,
more likely than Carely not dying from that shot at least, HA!
). Could be two random walkers. Or could even be two entirely new survivors.
There's an offchance that they may leave that hanging for a book, or indefinetly. I doubt they would. I'll let the promotional media speak for itself when it comes around.
That is definitely not a cliffhanger they are just going to let sit there. If they do it will be WORSE than Half Life 2 Episode 2! GRRRR!!!!! Terrible cliffhanger, and for so long.

it is not Kenny and Ben, in my game Christa and Omid are the only ones to survive, as far as I know. Kenny saved Christa from jumping in the pit to get the walkie talkie, it is assumed that Kenny died in there. Also, I let Ben fall in episode 4, so he was already dead.
I assume season 2 will come out sometime in 2013? When did season 1 first start? And how often did episodes come out? I just started playing it last month.

Usually 1-2 months apart. But this is work on a whole new season. Expect a little bit larger gap than this. Though I expect work started on it either the second this one ended or slightly before it. I hope it doesn't take like an entire year.

The episodes were each roughly 2 months apart. Give or take a couple weeks. No fixed schedule (much to the annoyance of the audience).
It's safe to assume that either pre-production or actual development is underway. One thing I can't figure out is how far they are through developing one episode when the previous one is released. The "next time" trailers show a variety of environments and such afterall.
If you want my recommendation though, don't purchase a pass for season 2 the moment it becomes available. Even though this season had a quality story, I wouldn't put myself through the punishment of waiting between each episode again. Your patience would likely get rewarded with a discount if you're playing on PC too.
I hope they have them on a schedule next time. Have a few episodes already completed months in advance so they're polishing Ep 4 or 5 before 1 is released.

Telltale has two, possibly three, other huge projects that they've already announced coming down the line. I haven't heard them say anything about putting any of them on hold in order to jump into Season 2 right away.
I agree that Molly should be the main character for Season 2. She's a much different character than Lee, and she still has ties to Season 1 but not so much that it will feel like a re-hash of the same material and characters.
Some things I wouldn't mind seeing:
Molly's escape from Savannah, following the arrival of the herd.
Possibly coming across Lee in the opening scenes. If he's reanimated, choosing whether to put him down. A sort of grisly passing of the baton between main characters.
Finding Kenny. I'm calling it now, I think Kenny lived. I don't think they would have come up with not one, but two separate ambiguous death scenes for the third most important character if they didn't have a good reason. Besides, Walking Dead characters have gotten out of worse without a scratch *cough*Tyreese*cough* so it's not unprecedented.
If she comes across Clem, with or without Omid and Christa, I hope it's brief. Like Glenn in Episode 1 brief. I don't want a whole new season of playing protector to Clem, we've seen that story.
I want Clementine to be in the season, but I'm not sure in what way. If I want to take on a different sort of protector. Or perhaps someone who will help her grow as a survivor. Or perhaps she helps someone grow? I have no idea. All I know is I want her in there.

I just finish episode 5 and I want season two right now. This was one of the best games I have played in years. Hats off to Telltale games.
Huh.. Just noticed I don't have it on steam. Weird.
Also, when Lee is giving his last words to Clem, it says "she will remember that", so probably for season 2 since they said keep your season 1 saves.

Could be a mirage, they were kinda faded
Yeah, Maybe... Could be Clem is going insane with all these deaths, But Highly unlikely. Just a thought.

In my playthrough, Lee even explicitly said "You're walking for two". And Christa certainly didn't protest.
