Borderlands. I'd been playing this pretty much non-stop until I got to Mad Moxxi's Underdome, at which point my progress slowed to being almost non-existent.
See, I'm going through it as a single-player. And Mad Moxxi's DLC is definitely not single-player geared. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's damn near impossible to complete in single-player mode.
If you've never played it, Mad Moxxi's Underdome is one long set of arena challenges. To begin with you have to go through 5 rounds, each consisting of 5 waves. Total of 25 waves. If you fail any of the waves, you go back to the beginning of the previous round. Which is harsh if you're on wave 20 and die, because it means you go all the way back to wave 11.
So. After getting incredibly fed up, I finally beat the 25 waves on each of the three different maps that the game puts you through. I beat the third and (I hoped) final map this afternoon. And I was like "Right, let's see if there's anything more interesting after this abomination of tedium and frustration".
The next challenge is to go 20 rounds in each of the three maps. That's 100 waves. Times three, because there's three different maps.
F*ck. You. Gearbox.
Seriously! I can't do that. I physically cannot do that. I don't have the patience, the time, the energy or, most fatally, the slightest bit of interest. I busted my balls to do the five rounds in each map, and now you want me to do four times that? Piss off!
So ignoring the massive brick wall that Gearbox have erected around this particular piece of DLC, I've moved on to the next one, Secret Army of General Knoxx, but I'm getting tired of this one because the maps are so bloody huge it takes forever to get to the next bit of combat. I'm pretty much ready to just give up on this game now, it's proving too much of a hassle to play.
Frickin' amazing. My games are now multi-million sellers. I have enough money to write on the moon (although not enough to develop for the Gamecube, oddly enough. Hmm...
I just can't stop playing. But then my battery died. ¬_¬
Also, I Walt Disney and Steve Jobs working for me (sorry, Walt Sidney and Stephen Jobson), so it's all good.
I've finished Broken Sword 3. Decided it's not that good. Especially compared with the first two. I don't like the new format. They over used it in the second half of the game and it got very samey.
So now I am downloading VVVVVV and I'll probably start it tomorrow. It'll be my first playthrough.
Finished Limbo, have it on the PS3 here... what a fantastic game!
I really fell in love with this one, I love everything about it... the gameplay, the atmosphere and the really cool and stylish graphical style! It's amazing!
The puzzles themselves are quite easy and you're never stuck for long, but even so... many of them are still quite clever and solving them is fun.
But even if the puzzles were bad, I'd still love the game for the atmosphere and awesome look alone.
I finished the PS3 exclusive hidden level as well today... so I can report to people playing it on PC or Xbox... you're not missing out on much.
The hidden level was more annoying than anything, basically it's a pitch black level with only very slight lighting here and there... and the puzzles all focus around not being able to see what's going on.
Here's an example, note - it's a spoiler so skip the rest if you don't want to know -
One of the puzzles has you encountering one of those buzzsaw things, a big one going up and down. You have to run below it while it's up, which isn't difficult at all.
However, next you encounter two more... but both of these are in complete darkness so you can't see anything at all... meaning you have to rely on the sounds alone.
So you have to listen closely to the first one that you can actually see... both what it sounds like when it goes back up, but also the volume as you get closer... so you can tell how close you are to the other ones.
Hi guys,
the games i am playing at the moment are- minecraft with the aether mod, littlebigplanet 2, assassins creed brotherhood (ps3), batman arkham asylum (ps3)
Now that I am back from my vacation and back with my lovely computer and my 24' monitor (My BF's monitor is really small). I am playing some Hellgate Online, just redid my Templar - Swordmaster, and I am doing much better on her this time.
VVVVVV is done now. Shorter than expected, but there are more modes to play through and stuff. I can see why it is regarded as quite awesome now and totally agree.
Tomorrow I shall download The Ball. I've wanted to play that one ever since it was released so hopefully it won't let me down!

My personal opinion about The Ball is that it's quite fun, but the survival maps are really hard though and will cause a bit of frustration. But the Portal map that was made under the Potato thing Valve had going on is really fun.
I am on my second play though now to find the secrets I missed last time, and to unlock some more Achievements.
mortal kombat vs DC universe (the only good thing is the multiplayer mode, but hey, you can play as Joker!:D)
BTTF and Viva pinata 2 (yes, I play that, bitch! "Aww how sweet... OMG THERES A BAD PINATA, DIE, DIIEE, MOTHERFUCKER, DIE!!!!")
Trying desperately to finish the Diamond challenges in Playstation Move Heroes. Not enjoying it - it was a novelty at first, but the controls just don't hold up and the challenges are frustrating as all hell.
Deus Crack: Crack Of The Year Edition
I cannot help it. I play through it at least once every year. This time without hurting or disabling enemies or bots. I still use the GEP-gun as a lockpick though. And I desperately need more energy cells right now. sure enemies drop them at the stage of the game I am at right now but that's no use to me because I don't kill them.
Just beat the last Ratchet again, awaiting the new one next month. Arkham Asylum might be next for the ...probably 10th time, just to get used to the tools again.
Deus Ex:Human Revolution. And man am I ticked about
Forced boss fights!!! Having never played the original Deus Ex, I didnt realise how big of a deal it was, I thought people were crazy for that. AND THEN, I made a character based on stealth, and takedowns, instead of guns and armor, and I was screwed over for the last hour or so. Heck I didnt even kill the boss right, the AI glitched eventually and he started shooting at a wall nearby instead of me.
And Im assuming that will happen again, so Ill keep that in mind with my next few augmentations, but I really need to focus on my hacking abilities.

That looks pretty cool, what platform is it on. Or is it an ipod/ipad game?
Downloaded and finished Hero Core, very short but fun while it lasts... and it's freeware so I can't really complain too much about the lenght
It's a game in the style of Metroid and other games where you move around a rather large world map and get upgrades after defeating bosses, that sometimes allow you access new areas, etc.
Fun little game, I'd definitely recommend it if you like these kinds of games.
Just finished The Longest Journey (finally, bought it years ago) the other night, and now I'm moving on to the sequel, Dreamfall.
Although the game's got some pretty crappy controls and they for some reason felt the need to add combat (also crappy), I'm really enjoying it anyway. I really hope they get to work on the oft-rumored sequel once The Secret World is out.
I can't help but wish Telltale took a look at Dreamfall's cities when they were making Back to the Future. They're full of people. Even though most of the people don't matter, you can look at them and talk to them. It just feels way more alive then, say, a Hill Valley town square that was populated with Biff and only Biff.

I've always thought that The Longest Journey and Dreamfall were excellent games for that reason as well.
A populated world, (a world which has so much detail when you stop and look), with actual people, and characterisation, and a great plot to tie it all together.
I've seen the concept art to both games, and let me tell you, A LOT of effort (and love too) went into those games.

It's one of the bones I have to pick with the game too. I am in Paris now on my pacifist run. in Deus Ex 1. A lot of people I could have saved died, my first "boss battle" went over by saying a word. I'm on my way now and I already have the kill phrase for the second boss which means he will die without me using a weapon too. But I had to sacrifice an augmentation upgrade for that. It's worth it though. I am about 70-80% through the game now and only used my GEP-gun and knife / swords on doors. I collected a bunch of grenades but never used them except on the ship where I need one to destroy a part of the ship. It's working unexpectably well. But I think this all will change when I enter the Airbase. I have to kill someone there to advance to the final area of the game I think.
Just too bad they started focusing on mmorpg games instead.
Ragnar Tornquist has repeatedly said that he still plans to make a sequel to Dreamfall... but... I guess we'll just see.
He originally said it would go into production after Age of Conan was out, now he says it'll go into production after The Secret World is out. I'm sure there will be some other excuse afterwards.
Just started playing Super Meat Boy... after finishing VVVVVV, I was in the mood to play more games reminiscent of that, and in some ways Super Meat Boy is quite similar - they're both games in which you die a *lot*, but both games still manage to stay very addictive because of how closely the checkpoints are placed (well, there aren't checkpoints in SMB, but the levels are very short so it's pretty much the same thing).
I've only finished the first two worlds so far, so I have yet to reach the really frustrating levels... but I'm getting dangerously close.
Frozen Synapse(finaly) and I cant say too much yet, because I suck horribly. Ive mainly been failing because the rocket launcher men can be difficult for a noob like me, but the game thought ahead and I can remove them in single player. Brilliant! Now I can learn at my pace without them:D
I'm playing Anno 1404 at the moment. Breathtakingly beautiful city-building game with gripping storyline for the campaign, well voiced and animated characters, hugely complex gameplay that is layered in such a way that is easy to digest, there is always something to do so no waiting 10 minutes like in Settlers, well-designed standalone scenarios.
But there are issues. Firstly, you have to really hunt to find which graphics cards are supported. The game also has annoying (sometimes almost game-breaking) bugs but not as many as the Settlers series. Also, the localisation in English with regards to tooltips is very badly done from German.
PS3 - Venetica, the game people only heard of after its intro got a good slaughtering on Unskippable thanks to the translation from German being somewhat questionable, and The Tomb Raider Trilogy, which I'm going through chronologically and am therefore replaying Anniversary for the 9th time and despising every moment of it.
XBox360 - Lego Indy 2, which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would despite already thrashing it on the Wii. Damn my addiction to achievements/trophies.
After playing through Machinarium (good!) and Teen Agent (not so good! but free on GOG.com) I'm continuing to play through my huge adventure game backlog by working on Simon the Sorcerer.
Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy on Facebook. It's the drawn-out, yet lazy way to level my Assassin Recruits in Brotherhood! Also, I really want those damn capes.
I was out of games to play... so I decided to start on the shin megami tensei series... not sure it was an entirely sane decision, as there are at least 15-20 games in the series...

My favourite game ever just got even better!
The voice acting is a bit off, but its been 14 years so its forgivable.
The graphics make everything better.
And the controls are soo smooth!
(like in the original!)
Already have 4 medals in my first run.
Which was:
Corneria --> Meteo --> Fichina (medal) --> Solar --> Macbeth (medal) --> Area 6 (medal) --> Venom 2 (medal)
I am going to play this game so freakin' much.
BTTF and Viva pinata 2 (yes, I play that, bitch! "Aww how sweet... OMG THERES A BAD PINATA, DIE, DIIEE, MOTHERFUCKER, DIE!!!!")

Im near the end, but the flying boss in Titan is kicking my butt.
Anybody got any strategies against it?
