Yeah, believe it or not, there are relatively few Walmarts in California--or at least around where I live, anyways. I think I've only been inside of one once or twice in my life. I'd probably have more luck with the Costco. Or Amazon. Or Ebay. :D
You could order it from their website.

I think I may do that. It's listed at less than half the price that I originally saw it for, which seems to be a pretty good deal.

he tried to destroy the universe in
    arc of infinity
    blowing up the
    TARDIS
could be his way of escaping the
anti matter universe or getting revenge for being trapped there.
    . also as the
first time lord he would know have extensive knowledge of the TARDIS and how to use it to make total event collapse.

It's possible, but I always thought it was
Rassillon, because he wanted to destroy the Universe, anyway, so the time lords could become creatures of consciousness alone. I figured that even stuck in the time loop they could try one more last ditch effort before becoming dead-- especially as they have access to things like the Eye of Harmony, which is connected to the TARDIS, and whatnot. There's probably some sort of control computer on Gallifrey that has master control over the TARDIS, or something like that. Either way, I agree, it seems likely it's a time lord. It wouldn't surprise me if it was the master again. Of course, it could be some brand new villain from Moffat-- which could be kind of fun. And let's not rule out the Valeyard! Not because there's strong evidence for that-- it would just be really, really cool!

Well, in the first doctor who adventure game, the daleks had they eye ;)
I don't think Moffat would resuse the timelords so soon after DT's final episode. Then again, we probably won't find out until next seasons finale's.

Out of all of the options, I'm still holding out for the Valeyard, who I think is the coolest villain ever of Doctor Who. I wouldn't mind if it was the Celestial Toymaker either, though. :D

I hope its a new villain my self

That would be acceptable if they took a relatively minor villain or side character from early on in the sixth season to be the big bad at the end. Someone totally unexpected...

Amazon have started pre-orders for a "limited edition" version of the series 5 Boxset. Plus, they are pricing the Blu-ray version for £20 under the RRP (so it's £59.99 instead of £79.99). There isn't a box art, but you can pre-order it here. They're all individually numbered, just like the davros box set

On a semi-related note: My specials boxset arrived today! But I was out, so it's in the post office.:(

Yeah, I thought about this about 30 minutes after I posted it. Which also leaves the Daleks as an option. It could be one of the brand spanking new candy-colored daleks we've seen. I kind of hope not, though. Daleks are getting dangerously close to "overdone" in the new series. Not that I dislike daleks, just that they need a break.

Yeah, but it was built up to a lot through the previous four seasons. Daleks have been in most of the season finales, and not just restricted to them, either. They've been in the new series a LOT. Journey's End was just the straw the broke the camel's back. Well . . . more like the big heaping load of straw that broke the camel's back. But still!

I don't think it would be the Daleks. The Daleks played a role in the Pandorica Opens / Big Bang story, which was pretty much completely counter to the idea that they'd have also been responsible for the cracks. I wouldn't rule it out 100% since they could have just been lying, but I doubt it.
  • edited July 2010
Daleks are, basically, xenophobes. Anything not pure Dalek is, in their eyes, impure and must be destroyed. So for them to team up with so many other races must have been utterly critical to the survival of the Dalek race. They wouldn't do it otherwise.

So I find it extremely difficult to believe that the Daleks were responsible for the cracks, simply because of their response to them.
  • edited July 2010
It's unlikely, I'll grant you. But not entirely impossible. They are USUALLY united in working together, but not always. Still, I think it's improbable that it was them, as well. I really wouldn't be surprised to see a new villain altogether. Moffat tends to bring in a lot of his own new characters-- Jack, River, the angels . . . Which is fine, he does well with it.
  • edited July 2010
the only way I can see the daleks doing the crack is either future daleks did it or separate ones from the the progenitor daleks
  • edited July 2010
Also, I completely forgot - Silence Will Fall. Someone says it, and I highly doubt it's the Daleks.

Prisoner Zero also said it and the line The Pandorica will open silence will fall is one of my fav lines

For some reason, the person who said it at the end sort of sounded a bit like Davros to me. I hope it isn't Davros though, because he needs a rest.
  • edited July 2010
Davros just doesn't work as a villain for me. He's supposed to be a genius, and yet he keeps getting betrayed by the daleks then trusting them again. Obviously he's not THAT genius. Plus he comes across more weird than scary-- like a weird old guy next door who waters his lawn with his hose at two in the morning and steals your paper . . . Not threatening, just . . . strange. And kind of annoying.

I think, whoever it is, is going to behave as a true and proper villain and will be a match, mentally, for the doctor. Someone that will really challenge him in a lot of ways. I'm really looking forward to next season.

Theres been some Torchwood news leaked recently. In case you weren't already aware, series four is going to be american produced, and It's going to have the subtitle "the new world". It's also supposed to have Cpt Jack & Gwen linked with the CIA.

It sounds a bit shoe-horned too me. I just can't see it living up to The children of Earth. I woul've preffered they left it at that, and maybe started an entirely new TW, with new characters (maybe the missing torcwood 4?). Afterall, with Gwen being pregnant, and married, and Jack on some distant planet, it would have been perfect.

It looks like an interesting premise, so I'll reserve judgment until after it's out. I really hope that Alonzo is in it, though. Even a cameo would be great. :D

The thing that bothers me is that, no matter how many times Jack leaves, he always returns for the next series. Even when he's
killed his grandson and ran off to the reaches of space to deal with it
. And you just know his personality will be the same as always.

maybe he will be putting a brave face on and acting like normal in most scenes but hurting in private moments or deep personal ones

Awesome! And it led me to this

Also, the third episode of the DWA games is available on the 27th . It takes place entirely in the TARDIS (with new rooms), and is witten by the same person who wrote fires of Pompeii.

So the old rumors from before were true, nice. I'll be looking forward to these, especially the one for the Wii. Seems that the games are targeted for the younger audience though but that’s no problem, I'm still young at heart.

I'm almost certain they'll be longer, if nothing else.
