I've forgotten how much strength and courage I have within. I was broken for a long time but I'm going to face my fears and make things happen for myself now.
I've had the theme to DuckTales playing in my head constantly for the past few days for no discernible reason. Well, ok maybe not constantly - when it's not that it's Lisa Miskovsky's 'Still Alive'.
The FCC meeting on August 19th about the future of the internet is on my mind right now. For anyone that doesn't know, Google and Verizon have made a deal to end the internet as we know it. This is a mega corporate takeover and we need as many people supporting Net Neutrality as possible to keep the internet open and equally accessible to all of us!
What do you have to lose? Free speech, education, innovation, activism, community, MILLIONS of jobs and ideas. This is priceless. The internet MUST be kept open and equally accessible to everyone. The amount of greed in our world is sick. Don't let these corporate giants have even deeper pockets. Stand up for what's right -- defend Net Neutrality.
Never had one though, wonder if they'd taste a lot different to proper bananas?
"Proper" bananas? Way to discriminate against red bananas, man.
EDIT: to answer your taste question:
When ripe, raw red bananas have a flesh that is cream to light pink in color. They are also softer and sweeter than the yellow Cavendish varieties, with a slight raspberry-banana flavor.
Also:
The first bananas to appear on the market in Toronto (in the 1870s and 1880s) were red bananas.

Now I shall not know true peace until I seek out these red bananas.
I guess I could eat a yellow banana and some raspberries simultaneously, but I'd only be lying to myself.
Well it's made in china, and instead of brass in the metal bits it was something else and some people even say it's shorter and lighter. They could drop it once on the floor and it was broken, and the US made one could take more abuse.
I'm starting to get annoyed with a little thing my mind does. About 10 years ago, I was in primary (I think the equivalent of the US 3rd grade?) school (yeat 3, i think), and the word infamous came up in a book we were reading, and some one asked what it meant. Our teacher said "Famous for the wrong reason". Eversince, whenever the word infamour is mentioned, that phrase instantaneously pops up in my mind. Anyone else experience something similar?
@Fealiks: Lucid/WIL dreaming is something i've always wanted to try, but i think i'd become incredibly terrified with the paralysis. I've read about people that have triggered a very similair state whilst under the effect of anaesthetic in the operating theatre, only they could feel the knife and hands going into them.

You're paralysed in your sleep every night anyway so it's nothing to worry about. You're also only conscious of the paralysis with WILD, every other form of lucid dreaming induction happens when you're already asleep. When I tried it, it was a weird sensation at first and my heartbeat picked up, but after a couple of seconds I found it really relaxing.
I've also experience sleep paralysis before, which is where you wake up and your body is still paralysed for a few seconds. It happened to me when I was younger. I woke up to an extremely loud buzzing noise and could see a tall, dark figure at the foot of my bed. I couldn't move or make any noise at all. Then, a few years later, I read about sleep paralysis and it matched my experience perfectly.
Only comment is that it involved my stepsister and my exgirlfriend, and that your first thought is completely wrong, as it didn't involve either of them at the same time

Attachment not found.
"Oh, Dusty. Infamous is when you're MORE than famous. This man El Guapo, he's not just famous, he's IN-famous!"
When I was in primary school myself, probably grade 1 or 2, I was helping my brother's teacher cleaning up his classroom or something like that. I must have complimented him because he said "you're a flatterer". I asked "what's a flatterer?"
He grabbed a dictionary and handed it to me and he said "you check".
Now that word reminds me of that.
Also, I think I owe him a lot... I had always been curious but I think it's the first time I realised I could find answers to y questions on my own, rather than depend on whether other people were willing to tell me or not.
Plus, I remember there is a word in the definition I didn't get, so I looked that one up, too, and it was like my first wikipedia-like experience, when you keep reading and learning new things. It was awesome.
Later, he was my teacher for two years, in 4th and 5th grade (or equivalent. CM1 and CM2). Very good teacher.

Now this is on my mind, too.
I just picked up a new black one after losing my old gray one. I'm excited.
Great, now I have it stuck in my head. I hope you're happy.

Yes. Very much so.
And no, I am not one of them, I saw the light years ago.
I have heard from many people that it breaks easy because its made of more flimsy material, but you can't really argue it's price.
This guy here is giving it a bad review: http://spyderbug.com/reviews/the-baliyo/
But of course some people are more rough with their stuff than others, so if you take good care of it, it should last for a while.
Thanx

Exactly that.
When I saw this scene I immediately thought of this random poem by Richard Armour.
Move over ham and quartered cow
My geiger says the time is now.
Now I lay me down to sleep
And if I die at least I'll keep.
What?

This thought happened nearly ten seconds ago.
Sorry, still doesn't help.

I used to think that for years.
