I didnt realize people were so attached to my old avatar.

I was a little fond of it, but that may be because I made it. That said, PotatOS only took me about half an hour, and Danny Phantom is awesome, so I'm okay with the change.

    - Being a cat magnet
    - People avoiding sitting next to you on the bus (2 seats yay!)

Okay. Then I, being one who does not drink often (nor am overweight) will also add a few...
I think you forgot Diabeetus (sic) though

dang, I was gonna say that. Also, there is increased potential for arthritis, decreased energy level... and the annoyance of others by the increased wearing-out/flattening of upholstery cushions.

Heh. If I wasn't such a bubbly person, then a comment like that Daishi could have destroyed my self esteem.

(It wasn't like the whole exercise was a post-humourous esteem builder or anything like that. No not at all!)

    Oh. =\

Well, then one could say one more advantage could be increased potential for use as a flotation device. :D

EDIT: I'm sorry, that was mean. Funny, maybe (sometimes I can't help myself) but still kinda mean.

But, ah, no offense, the hurricane of puns that is Danny Phantom does kind of win out here.

Since he's German, I'd think it would have something to do with the resignation of the German president, though as far as I'm aware that position is largely ceremonial anyway. Maybe I'm missing some key bit of world news. Neither Al Jazeera nor r/worldnews is giving me anything else that fits as far as I can tell.

Have to revert to wikipedia to get that story across. This is of course about the German federal president.
In December 2011, allegations emerged over President Christian Wulff’s former ties with affluent businessmen. While he still was Premier of Lower Saxony, the state parliament inquired whether Wulff had any business ties with friend and millionaire entrepreneur Egon Geerkens. This he denied, keeping secret though that he had received a private loan of some €500,000 from Egon's wife Edith in 2008 to purchase a house. Geerkens even admitted to managing the deal. On 22 December, Wulff made a public statement apologizing for his handling of the loan affair and conceded that he should have made his personal records available more quickly. "That was not straightforward and I am sorry," he added.

Just when the affair seemed to settle down, it was revealed that President Wulff had applied undue pressure on Springer Press to delay or even prevent initial revelations on the loan scandal until he was back from a visit abroad. When Wulff found out that the BILD tabloid was going to break the story, he called editor-in-chief Kai Diekmann, but only reached his voice mail and left a message in which he angrily threatened a "final break" in relations with the Springer publishing house and to take legal action. By the beginning of January 2012, President Wulff lost support by the public, commentators called for him to resign, the opposition increased pressure again, and his own party was distancing itself from him for his attempted censure of freedom of the press.

On the evening of 4 January 2012 then, Wulff gave a much anticipated interview in a program broadcast jointly by the two main public TV stations ARD and ZDF. He declared that he wanted to stay in office and that the call to Diekmann had been a "serious mistake" that was "unworthy" of a president and for which he had already apologised. For the sake of transparency, he further promised to have his office publish the responses to some 400 recent press inquiries online and initially posted a summary, but then revoked his promise a few days later, citing confidentiality issues and organizational difficulties. Within a week however, several newspapers began making use of their right to publish their own enquiries with the respective responses. On 18 January then, Wulff’s lawyer announced and presented online transcripts of legally released journalists’ questions and their respective answers.

As more allegations of possible corruption emerged, the prosecutors in Hannover, the capital city of the state of Lower Saxony, sought the Bundestag to lift Wulff’s immunity as President to investigate possible granting and/or accepting of undue advantages. Pre-empting this, Wulff resigned on 17 February 2012.

German Federal President IS a largely - possibly purely - ceremonial position, but still the nominally highest position the German political system has to offer. The one that should maintain the highest moral standards also. Instead, our chancellor hauled a man into office who has obviously never risen above the mentality of a used car salesman. And he cleaved to his office like a madman. But when shame or even public concern completely failed to get him out of office, federal level judiciary stepped in and finally knocked that throne over.

Man, I hope we get Stasi Prosecutor Guy now. :D :D

Been playing some snes games with my little bro.

We had great fun playing Super Mario Kart and Tetris Attack, (we are very competative when it comes to puzzlers, though I am that bit better so I normally win in the end), and Super Street Fighter 2.

One day, I will teach him how to play Street Fighter!

He's getting a little better. He's dodged a few hadokens.
But he's still so far away.

He doesn't really care to listen to me. Thats the main problem.
I show him the controls, exactly how to do the moves, and I know he can do it if he focuses enough.
At the moment he's too heavy handed with the direction buttons. He doesn't focus on doing the exact motions, just randomly moves his hand in that direction. Firing off a few random hadokens by accident and jumpin around.

He always sticks to one button, in every fighter.
    So he's like:
Jump. Jab. Jump. Jab. Jab. Jab. Jump. Jab. Jab.
Occasionally switching one button for the other.
Jump. Kick. Jump. Kick. Kick. Low Kick. Jump. Jump. Kick ect.

He doesn't seem to realise that these different type of attacks have a meaning to them, and can be linked together. He can't think things out.

(Its like. "Button doesn't work. Try other button." "keep hitting till he or I go down")

But at least he was having fun, jumping around and jabbing people, (I guess he doesn't see much difference between a sidescrolling beat 'em up and a fighting game), so I'm happy to spend time with him.

(He was also very happy about the book I got him. Anything Hamtaro he's into at the moment. Loves it.)

Sometimes, I worry whether I'm trying to help my little brother develop his skills, as a sort of challenge/experiment, rather than genuinely trying to helping him.

(I wonder if he finds my involvement annoying? Maybe he doesn't care to think about these things at all. Grr.. Dammit. Its so hard to get into your head little bro. I hope one day you'll be able to tell us what going on in there, even a little bit. It would make things so much easier)

More importantly, if I am kind of experimenting on him, what does that make me? Am I a good brother?

Anyways, I got the Amnesia demo and played it. I liked it, although it scared me, so I bought the game.

I decided to play Justine first, no reason.

Fuck this shit, I'm never sleeping again.

I gotta ask this to all Assassins Creed fans. How replayable is AC:R? The multiplayer looks pretty good so that has me, but is simply running around stabbing templars just as fun in that game?

I'm mainly asking to see if I should just run through the second and brotherhood(for story's sake) in rentals, and then buy Revelations.

Honestly, I prefer the theory that R2D2 and Chewbacca are actually the Rebellion's top field agents.
