It's coming to PC, apparently. No mention of when though. Best guess is within the next couple of months.
And there's absolutely no difference between the normal game and this HD rerelease, except a higher resolution. Oh, and they've taken the 2 Player Battle Mode and lopped it off so they can sell it as DLC.
What's the difference between the original and the HD version? I was thinking of getting this game, but I don't know is there a PC version.
HD,Trophies (Or achievements if your on the Xbox version and the steam version i think is coming soon),The Big cameos are back,The game controls great in my opinion (PS3 Version) Also Chao Garden is back in HD! (It may not be new but...)
Anyway i finally got Jet Set Radio HD & Nights HD, Jet Set Radio is just kinda Ok for me. I hate how you can hardly get any speed plus the controls kinda suck. Nights on the other hand is pretty good but i'm stuck on the second world boss (Yes i know) But i don't know how your meant to attack this boss. I might do a better review here when i finish the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for Wii) - 9.875/10
It's not a perfect 10 because (1) spin slash is too easy (ie. it automatically charges up) and (2) shield bash is too cumbersome (ie. swipe with nunchuk is spin slash, which is way too close to jab with the nunchuk for shield bash.)
Twilight Princess for GameCube is a perfect 10. I wish it also had widescreen support, but it shouldn't really be docked for that when everything else is so perfect.
Man this game was great. Even though there are still a ton of bugs in it and the game might randomly crash. So save often.
Let me tell you a story. A story about Darth Marsden. The greatest Sithlord of them all.
Which will of course include spoilers (or maybe not).
This is the story of a soldier that I used in every mission and that never disappointed me. His name is Darth Marsden.
He was nothing but a rookie when he joined my team but he went into battle without fear. As battles went on he shaped to be my assault class but the battles changed him. He lost it a bit and grew a full beard (I also think he might have become addicted to root beer but he would never admit it). But even in his worst days he was my #1 unit when it came to capturing the alien scum! Maybe he secretly liked the aliens or maybe he felt that he was actually born to become more than this. A lot more powerful than this of course.
Many battles passed but suddenly he discovered his secret powers. He could suddenly hurt the aliens with his mind or even bend their will to do his bidding. The lust for power grew in him. He improved and improved and suddenly became the most powerful being on this planet. That's when he thought: Why not kill them all. And so he did.
But he was far from being done! He then remembered the time in his past, when he felt the biggest shame: Leaving the movie theatre after seeing the Star Wars prequels. All of them. He remembered them getting worse and worse? So what should he do? He flew to Naboo in his DeathStar and started his "revenge tour" through the universe.
Edna and Harverys new eyes was the last game I finished and I thought it was a good enough game without being too taxing.
Just previous to that I finished "the testament of sherlock holmes" and I must admit that I was totally engrossed in the storyline to that game much to my surprise.
It was like a good book that I didn't want to put down until I finished it.
I will have to replay it now just so that I can play the more difficult logic puzzles that I skipped because they were in the way of a good story.:D
A short, but fun, RPG. Exactly the sort of thing I'd expect from Double Fine, and perfect if playing around Halloween, which begs the question of why it's not been included in ANY Halloween sales. Seriously, WTF?
10/10- absolutely fantastic. You'll become seriously emotionally attached to every single character and then they will die in an extremely violent manner because you did something wrong. The story and writing is fantastic and it eliminates all the issues I had with 999. Do play that first though, or you'll likely be confused later on.
I like Parappa and the characters and the songs since i watched them on youtube. So i decided to rent the PSP version of the first Parappa to try it and all i can say is that the first thing a game has to get right is making the gameplay work. I did not finish this game yet! People say you can beat this game in 40 minutes well i can tell you something, there is one flaw that brings the game down a lot and that is the freaking game won't play right. I got to stage 2, The gameplay is someone raps then you as Parappa must copy that rap and at the top of the screen there is a line with buttons that you must press when Parappa's character popup goes over the buttons. But most of the time i press the right button when it's Parappa's turn at the right time but the game still insists that the timing was off and it fails me even through most of the time i hit the buttons at the right places.
I will try to beat the game but i really wanted to go into this giving it a high rating and liking it but i can not while the game is making me lose when i am doing what i am meant to do. The only reason that the game does not score lower is because i like Parappa and his friends and i think they are very likable and the songs are very very catchy.
Let me get this out of the way, I have not played the PS1 version or Parappa The Rapper 2 so i don't know if the problem is in those games. I have watched playthroughs of Parappa The Rapper 2 on Youtube. Now if anyone has any ideas how i can fix this problem please tell me. If i can get this problem fixed and the game becomes more playable then i will review it when i finish it.
OK good news, I figured out how to fix the problem. I had the game in Normal difficulty which for some reason delays the timing for me. I started a new game and put it on easy and it seems to have fixed it so i'll do another review once i have finished the game.
Edit:Easy Mode is only for the first 3 stages and after that the game goes back to it's same old crap ways so the rating still stands.

I have this bad boy preordered. I'm just crapping myself over the save file corrupting bugs, and spoilers, I don't even wanna know what colour the walls are.

One thing i found weird when i watched Parappa the rapper 2 playthrough on youtube is that Sunny ain't in the game that much other than Parappa's Flashbacks & a few cut-scenes. Most of the songs that you listed are my favorites. I like Sunny's song just before the last stage in Parappa 2.
7/10. Brings nothing really new to the table, the "COLLECT ONE GORILLION COINS" aspect has some nice risk/reward gameplay stuff going on but generally this is 2D Mario as you very much know it. Which is fine by me, I don't know if you noticed but Mario games are excellent.
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
7/10. Reliably lovely, the plot doesn't hit the same highs as other Layton games and the 3D whilst adding nothing to the vast majority of the puzzles (one puzzle uses it very well and 3D makes it easier to solve IMO) shows lush landscapes in the third-dimension, but you'll probably plonk it off after you've been through an area a few times. Flashbacks with young Layton are a real treat.
The plot twist wasn't totally 'nanners which disappointed me, it's tradition for Layton games to go full on batshit during the big reveal
I'm sorry but i have to bring this up again. I have gotten to stage 5 in Parappa The Rapper PSP and i can't get pass it. I have no idea if the PS1 Version is better but i think this psp version is completely crap. Yes the songs are very catchy, Parappa and his friends are very likeable but with the timing this broken it's no fun to play since the only thing you ever see is your rank ether at Bad or Awful unless you have played through the levels many times and have remembered where all the right spots to hit the buttons are since the games timing is so awful. Please someone tell me Parappa 2 & Umjammer Lammy's timing is better because the timing in Parappa the Rapper PSP is Awful.
I have this bad boy preordered. I'm just crapping myself over the save file corrupting bugs, and spoilers, I don't even wanna know what colour the walls are.
The bug is very easy to avoid, just avoid saving in the puzzle rooms (none of them took over half an hour, save the last one which has no bug) and you'll be just fine.
Just finished Telltale's Puzzle Agent last night. It was.. a mixed bag.
I found the puzzles inconsistent with some being really easy, some being nearly impossible without hints, and others having a nice medium ground. Unfortunately, the medium-ground puzzles were rare. I had liked how most of the puzzles related to the story or to who you're talking to (which Professor Layton didn't do when I tried it), but a felt like they came outta nowhere.
I loved the characters, the art style, the setting and the story. What I didn't like was the abrupt and unresolved ending. I've heard a lot of stuff about the gameplay in PA2, and unfortunately I don't see myself rushing off to spend $10 on something I'll probably beat in half the time. Took me about 5 hours to finish it and there's really no replayability.
Probably give it a 3 outta 5? I don't like using "ratings" but that's really the best I can do. I liked so much of it, but the gameplay and ending were either flatout disappointing or just unenjoyable at times. I still don't know how people were having trouble with the Room Key puzzle.. >_>;

A lot of TellTale's original works have left a lot to be desired. I'm guess that is why they stopped making them and have instead focused on "renting" IP's to make games in other people's sandboxes.
A lot of TellTale's original works have left a lot to be desired. I'm guess that is why they stopped making them and have instead focused on "renting" IP's to make games in other people's sandboxes.
Telltale has NEVER made a game that isn't based on somebody else's work. Name one. Only one. I dare you.
The only Telltale game that's left a lot to be desired for me was Jurassic Park.
Unless you count all those times I wanted more after I'd finished, in which case I guess you'd be right.
Oh, and unless I'm mistaken, the Sam & Max games were actually worked on by some of the same people who made the original game or had been part of LucasArts. Would that be the same as working with someone else's stuff? Even if they're working with the creator or people who're part of it?
Still, I do feel that Telltale typically handles the IPs well. I just wish Jurassic Park hadn't been "QTE to the Extreme". Probably a result of them making it all at once instead of actually being episodic.
It's bad and no one was surprised. And the screenshots on Steam were so promising. The game has 3 modes but doesn't balance them right. It has 4 hidden object levels, 16 "spot the difference" levels and 64 horrible levels of the main mechanic I really really hate.
Also this annoying Tutorial-Elf that constantly hinders you and cannot be killed. I'll never touch this piece of crap ever again. At least it was on sale & cheap.
A really good game, it had all the classic hack n' slash elements, but was more or less based on the story more than game play. The catoonish graphics worked really well, and the music was good. It was really funny and I could clearly see Ron Gilbert's involvement, it took me about 2 years to realize that the Spelunker was Indiana Jones. :P
The reason why I take away some grades is because many of the cards you get to choose from as you level are more or less useless, the money card as an example was a regret of mine that I took as I was literally drowning in gold. Most of the items I could find and use was more or less not worth it and I ended up grinding it for even more gold.
The game has no real re-play value as I had gotten all the dialogue options, completed all the quests and gotten all the achievements in my first play through.
But all in all a really good game, worth every bit of money.
Massive technicality here, since I only replayed the last level (I discovered the footage I thought I had I didn't actually have, meaning I had to re-record me beating the final boss for my Let's Play), but Drake of the 99 Dragons. 2/10.
If you don't know why by now, you've either never watched my Let's Play (which WILL be finished soon, honest!) or my review. Please go do so, I could use the extra views. Link's in my sig.
A lot of TellTale's original works have left a lot to be desired. I'm guess that is why they stopped making them and have instead focused on "renting" IP's to make games in other people's sandboxes.
They've made a grand total of one original IP(telltale texas hold em), try again
Obulis 8/10
This one has been on my account forever. It's a "physics based" 2D puzzle game. And man is it hard. How hard is it? Well this level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-cYy2AkOUw
Took at least 60 minutes to complete even after looking it up. Why? Because you have to hit the balls in the perfect spot or something fails. There are some more of those too. Completely luck based stuff. That's what I took off 2 points of the rating for because apart from that the game is actually great.
I don't think I'll ever finish this game so I'll just rate it anyways.
Dungeons of Dredmor 10/10. I just picked it up after a year of not playing, got all the DLC and man... this game just continues to get more and more awesome with every playthrough. All of the different classes are just fun and simply selecting random classes to see what they do is a joy every time. I probably won't ever finish this game, but that's only because I want to try out everything it has to offer and I don't have the time to get through the entire game and also try out all the fun stuff.
It definitely has taken a place on my shelf as the game I go to when I want to relax and have fun.
I finally got Parappa The Rapper 2 and all i can say is that the gameplay is much better. Timing has been fixed and the songs are as catchy as ever. I did fail stages a few times but right now i'm at Stage 7.
Parappa 2 is a huge improvement to Parappa 1 in my opinion. The timing is better that the first one. There's a new feature where if you drop down from Good to Bad or Bad to Awful then you can repeat the part there you messed up to try and get your level back. The songs are very catchy and are as catchy as the first one's were. But the place where the game is let down is it's length. I think i beat it in around 1 or 2 hours. But since the songs are so catchy you can go through again as i hear the more times you beat the game the more stuff you unlock.
This is a flawed game in quite a few ways but for whatever reason I still enjoyed the hell out of it. I find the Revolutionary War period to be extremely interesting so this easily had my favorite AC story. Plus, they give the Desmond side of the story a nice resolution so that was great too.
(BY WHICH I MEAN THEY FINALLY KILL HIM OFF THANK GOD)
I finished some Slender mods. What a bad, bad, bad idea... When I'm coming home from school, I have to walk near a forest. It's really dark in the evening now cause it's winter, so I have to use a flashlight... You can only imagine how scary it all became xD

...y'see why I tease you about that all the time?
It's not a perfect 10 because (1) spin slash is too easy (ie. it automatically charges up) and (2) shield bash is too cumbersome (ie. swipe with nunchuk is spin slash, which is way too close to jab with the nunchuk for shield bash.)
Twilight Princess for GameCube is a perfect 10. I wish it also had widescreen support, but it shouldn't really be docked for that when everything else is so perfect.

You gots no rhythm Ryan.
The syncing is not quite right compared to Um Jammer Lammy and Parappa 2.
Infact, sometimes its almost impossible for some bits, (like the O,O,O at the end of Chop Chop. I ALWAYS get that wrong and my rhythm is pretty good).
But I still love it to bits! The music is so darn great and its pioneering really!
