    Primordia - 10/10

Beats out the somewhat disappointing, though still good Resonance, and just barely edges out Gemini Rue as my favorite Wadjet Eye adventure game. Seriously, seriously amazing writing on display here. I recognize a couple of the AGS modules in use, but the game is typically very original in the art department. None of the characters are grating, and you'll meet everyone from megalomaniacs to sleeping gods. Every bit of the world is fleshed out with an interesting back story, every major character features a detailed view of the world backed up by intelligent robotic logic, and the secondary characters all at least have memorable personalities. Unlike the asshole villain in Rue, you may find yourself agreeing with this one. Unfortunately, I wish the game had allowed for more of a moral grey area by the end, but the game pushes you a bit toward being too unnerved by the antagonist to side with it.

It's also possibly better than any Telltale game I've played (haven't beaten TWD), and though similar, I'd say it beats out Beneath a Steel Sky too.

I really enjoyed it,but I didn't think some parts were as good as others.

They're very similar games in structure, but Primordia has something that Gemini Rue doesn't have. Crispin Horatiobuilt, v. 1.

    Mark Of The Ninja 9/10

Finally made it through New Game+ mode and got all achievements. Not too easy I might add. The game itself is wonderful in every way but one: The way it saves the checkpoints. In my 24-25 hours of playtime I had about 5 situations where a checkpoint moved me in a spot right next to an enemy. If you want full score you might as well restart the whole level at that point because the alarm will be triggered and you might have a hard time getting out of there alive.

    Umjammer Lammy (Lammy's Story) -8/10

Yesterday i finally got Umjammer Lammy on the Playstation Store and i'll start off by saying that the game has far better timing than Parappa 1! Almost all the songs were great too but i don't like Stage 4 or 6's songs. Also Retrovortex was right when he said watch out for Stage 3, It's hard. I would say Stage 3 & 6 gave me the most trouble to beat. Also another cool feature is being able to play as Parappa after beating the levels with Lammy.

Broken Sword III - The Sleeping Dragon - 7/10

I've wanted to play this one for ages. The story is schlocky, but fun. It reminded me of a Sci-Fi Channel original at times, though. There were some parts that seemed to make no sense or not fit with the rest of the game. The Egypt section, especially. What the hell? How the hell does Anubis and Osiris fit in with a medieval dragon and the Voynich Manuscript, Revolution? George becoming a knight was worth it, but why the hell are the Neo-Templars suddenly good guys? The puzzles were great, but 80% of them involved pushing blocks. Then again, so did Ocarina of Time. The villain was a scary version of Christopher Walken from that James Bond movie. Loved Suzarro. The characters were just as great as ever, but weird in that Broken Sword way. The controls were great. I loved how the game handled interactions and inventory usage. I loved the finale. The art design reminded me a lot of Eternal Darkness, especially in the lighting and some of the locations. The best part, as always with BS games, was the sound design. I love those chimes the game plays whenever there's danger. And I loved the music. I really want to play BS4 now. George's narration in these reminds me of MacGyver. One part made me a little teary-eyed.

    L.A. Noire - 8/10

Fantastic graphics and voice acting; good story; and the cases were very interesting and suck you in.

However, the reasons why the lead protagonist did certain things regarding his personal life were left unanswered, and although it should seem typical of this kind of game, be it noire genre or from Rockstar,
I still would have liked a happy ending
    , or
at least to have taken down the whole group and not just part of it
    .

    Red Dead Redemption - 8/10

Story missions are very good; voice acting, music and graphics are top notch; stranger missions are decent to good.

Although there's a lot to do outside of the story, I got tired of trying to be completionist as hunting animals and picking herbs for the challenges/outfits was getting really tedious and boring.

Recommended. Just don't try too hard to complete everything.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - 10/10

Reminds me of Super Metroid, except you have a sword and can turn into a wolf, a bat, and a cloud of gas. I finished the game with 200.2% map completion recorded.

People say this is likely the best Castlevania game ever made, and I will not dispute them. The game world is huge; the gameplay is fun; and the difficulty ramps up nicely and encourages me to level, yet it tapers off so that at the end I'm pwning everyone like they're made of butter (thanks to my level 99 sword familiar)... good times.

[EDIT:] Oh, and if you beat the game with one of the good endings as Alucard, you can start a new game as Richter Belmont. Gameplay as Richter is quite different from Alucard, so this gives quite a good reason to play through twice.[/EDIT]

Buy this game on XBLA or PSN. Please. You won't regret it.

Heh. Despite owning it twice (on xbla and in PSP via Dracula X Chronicles), I still have yet to actually properly play through SOTN. XD

    Q.U.B.E. - 7/10

I like puzzle games and this game had a lot of varied ones. They were challenging enough without getting frustrating yet complex enough to need some thorough thinking to get them solved. It’s got pretty graphics and a nice environment even if it is leaning close up against Portal. It even has a nice soundtrack to go with it. The only few gripes I got with it is a lack of story and involvement with the character you were playing and the game was kind of short. I took me about 4-5 hours to complete, but I guess it depends on how good you are with puzzles.

    Serious Sam 2 - 7/10

It's not just a fun game; it's a really fun game. The core elements of Serious Sam is kept intact, shoot millions of varied monsters with a lot of varied guns, where both guns and monsters come in all shapes and sizes. I was a bit unsure of some of their decisions to the changes to some of the recurring monsters, like the red Biomechanoid and the Beheaded Kamikaze. Well at least it had original Kleers.
It had some strange graphics, graphical glitches (like not being able to run up stairs properly). The heavy metal music was changed dramatically and the game was less ‘Serious’.
But none of this takes away the important fact, it was fun.

    Serious Sam 3: BFE - 9/10

Oh. My. God! This game was utter amazing. They have really gone a long way since Serious Sam HD and even more so with Serious Sam 2. It goes back to its roots with enhanced graphics and a great musical score.
Sam is as fun as always, and the background story sets up first and second encounter nicely.

I wasn't able to finish the game for over a year because of that puzzle, in that I didn't realise until after much searching that a certain setting on my computer stopped the puzzle from working correctly.

I gave the game an honest go, but no matter how hard I tried I could not force my self to like it. Not even honestly complete it, but that is just how bad it is. What a waste of money that was...

If I have to come up with one positive thing, it's got good graphics.

Tomb Raider: Origins (as I call it) - 8/10

Great game. Very much like Uncharted, which may or may not be a good thing. Not sure. Played well, the combat was fun, the climbing was enjoyable, and it had a strong plot. Would recommend.

Lost a point for some clumsily hidden collectables (well, shootables to be exact), not having enough Tombs to Raid (the best bits since they had actual puzzles to solve, simple as they were) and for being a shade too short.

    DLC Quest - 7/10

Short, simple, fun. Original bit's better than the second quest, but not by much.

Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold Episode 1 - 4/5. It's an homage to classic adventure games done right. The graphic style is straight out of the 1990's, and the game play style is too. It's very much an homage to games like Monkey Island (and a nod to Sierra games like Freddy Pharkas and Leisure Suit Larry, although the game is very LucasArts, from it's interface to the fact that you can't get stuck or die).

It's co-designed by Josh Mandel (of Space Quest 6 and Freddy Pharkas fame, among others), and it shows. It's got some funny moments (and a lot of the humor comes in the item descriptions). Best of all, the puzzles are really well designed, and have a lot of times where puzzles need to be solved and/or people need to be talked to before new locations and/or puzzles open up (but this is all done in a very natural way). The story's interesting, but it's more of a set up for what's to come. There's also no voice acting, but the rest of the game makes up for it in my opinion.

My full review is here if you're interested.

So new Tomb Raider plays somewhat like Uncharted, which plays somewhat like old Tomb Raider.

Yeah, an Uncharted that removed all the humour, upped the brutality and decided to
kill off every single somewhat likeable character as well as quite a few others
    .

I actually really enjoyed it even though the puzzles weren't really challenging.

Likewise. I played it in bits and pieces so the overall dark tone of it didn't really get to me - playing bouts of DLC Quest and Professor Layton do a lot to address that. :p

I forgot to add that the final battle was kinda lame, and was only really memorable for the reveal of how Lara gets her trademark double pistols. Ah well.

It was. I was expecting something more than a

. Oh well. I felt the story itself was pretty great though. It just needed a dinosaur.

Ratchet and Clank a crack in time: I'm familiar to the R&C games but i never felt like buying a crack in time but i just finished and it was really good overral

Negatives only complaint is they didn't really improve the graphics from the previous game and the weapons (besides a few )weren't all that memorable. And some of the Ratchet puzzles were anoying

Positives It had the fun combat that i expected from Previous ratchet and clank games and also humor. Also the best Clank gameplay to this date was in this game I LOVED the clank Puzzles i wish they had a DLC with just Clank puzzles.

Veridict: 8/10 Ratchet and clank a crack in time didn't top Ratchet and clank 3 but I think the game lived up to my expectations and in the end it made wanna go play The first Ratchet and Clank again.

Edit: My brother just bought ratchet and clank all 4 one wich has co-op so we're gonna play it today :D

Batman: Arkham City GOTY - 10/10 alone, 7/10 considering GFWL

Would have preferred not to have the ending spoilered by people on these forums, but it's still good. The DLC mission with Robin (Tim Drake) made me wish he was playable in the main campaign.

I liked this game much better than Red Dead Redemption. I suppose Batman is more likeable.

However, it gets a 7/10 because Games for Windows Live hid my savegame from me twice. After the second time, I figured out how to recover it.

Buy this on console if you can instead. The game is excellent, but GWFL sucks.

Great 2D 16 Bit adventure game that reminds me of Zelda a lot but in the end cannot compare. Only 4 weapons and the 4th one can only really be used to break the game after you finished it already (by breaking the level architecture).

The 3 other ones are brooms that either attack normal or wider or longer. You have to choose but it doesn't really matter in the end.

-1 point for a situation where I had to use the "return to dungeon entrance" feature in normal play because of sloppy level design.
    - 1 point for the bosses which all but one are fairly uninteresting and are meant to be (?) brute forced by wildly slapping them with your broom. The final boss is really great though. I'd love to have more of that in earlier bosses.

Play time: just the story is about 6 hours, double that if you want to collect everything.

    Doom 3 - 7/10

Pretty good, but the combat got very repetitive and got rather irritating. I liked to use the shotgun and I got very frustrated when sometimes one shot would instakill them and sometimes it'll take 3-4 shots.

    But otherwise it's pretty good.

Sly Cooper Thieves in Time- 9/10.

Well as some people know i'm a big fan of The Sly Cooper series it being one of my favorite game series with Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter. Anyway i have been really looking forward to playing this game even though people in the UK had to wait longer for it to come out but its out now and i have finished it so here are my thoughts.

Story:Sly is enjoying his time with Carmelita after the events of the third game. Bentley is also enjoying his time off with Penelope as they are working on a top secret project and protecting Sly's family book detailing the Cooper family's tricks. Suddenly Penelope disappears and The book's pages begin to disappear. Bentley after finding Sly and Murray explains what's been happening and their plan. Use a time machine Bentley made to go back in time and find the people who are doing this.

    Good:
    Great story
Gameplay feels as good as the other games in the series.
I enjoyed almost every mission in the game.
The different time periods look good.
Great music with the main theme and the Medieval England theme being my favorites.
Characters are as enjoyable as they were in the other games.
    Loads of replay value.

    Bad:
The crap twist where its revealed that for some stupid freaking reason Penelope turned evil and started hating Sly for no reason even though Sly left the gang to be with Carmelita,

Its really annoying trying to find Clue bottles and treasures this time around. Now i thought finding clue bottles was a pain in Sly 2 and i think its even worse this time around and its even more annoying trying to find treasures. Since the areas this time around are more bigger than the other Sly games its a pain trying to find them. In Ep 3 if you collect the clue bottles Sly does find Clockwork's eye in a safe which gives all characters an upgrade to find clue bottles but treasures are still a pain to find.

Another small thing that was annoying is that i could not get the AR Vita features to work on the PS3 version. Everytime i tried to get the AR features to work the Vita version kept saying that it failed to connect to the AR server.

    Overall:
Well overall i enjoyed the game a lot. I thought while it was made by someone different than Sucker Punch that the game stayed true to the other Sly games and i hope to see a sequel
    Because of the cliffhanger ending
    .

Bioshock happened. The first one. Heard Infinite was awesome and made references to the first one so I figured I'd play it but was totally not expecting the slow as molasses ending. I know it's an older game, but I hoped they learned by now that escort missions are the most awful thing to put in a game. Especially at the end, especially when the escort goes their own pace, and especially when they occasionally sit down for an impromptu tower defense session. Which is also an awful thing to include.

Loved the beginning, but the ending made me want to pull my hair out. The middle oscillated between meh and amazing depending on which part I was doing.

It's sad. It's gross. Its theme doesn't fit with my usual taste.

But it's good. It's a very good game. I don't mind if TTG wants to make more games like this.
