Don't worry about missing too much Guru, the next couple of missions are a bit on the long side, so you should be able to jump in no problem.
And if we want to talk sad, I just spent an hour genning an Obsidian Dragon character who will probably never get used because I felt like it. I'm in a much much sadder place than you, my friend.
EDIT: I NOW WANT TO MAKE A PARTY OF DRAGONS HAPPEN AT SOME POINT GUYS.
The True Dragon main types are the only Dragons that have playable forms as far as I know. This leaves Chromatic, Metallic, Gem, Ferrous, Lung and Planar as the options. Given I made an Obsidian Dragon, I obviously went for Gem which I rarely play. I'm actually the kind of person who mostly plays chromatic dragons given the chance to play one. I think it's the same reason I like playing mindflayers, it's fun to be the pretentious dick of the party occasionally.
(btw, I'm now working on a way to potentially have the dragon thing work in the realm of the current campaign. It's probably not a good idea and I'm not even sure anyone'd really be interested given we have a lot of people still just getting used to the system, but damn, a party of ten dragons would be all kinds of badass...damn, I need more hobbies)
You know back in school I knew a girl who was obsessed with dragons.
She used to draw them all the time, with different colours and body-types.
(She did art, and was very good too)
(I swear she once even pretended to be a dragon...)
Lung Dragons? I think I don't want to know what they really are, there is no way it can be better than what I'm picturing right now.
They're from the Oriental Adventure expansion, they're basically Chinese styled river dragons. They're great spell casters, but not as overall well balanced as the other true dragons.

What is it with women and dragons?....
Dragons are awesome? I'm speaking as a mythology nut who loves kaiju films and monsters in general though, so I probably come at it from a different....less creepy angle.
Go for it! They're fun to make (and play). If you don't have the Draconomicon, there's a dragon character generator if you just google D&D 3.5 dragons that makes a lot of the stat stuff easier to handle.
Also, I'm looking through the dragonomicon, and man, Gold Dragons are bitches.
Edit: Oh geez, the treasure hoard list in this book is so much more fun than the one in the DM book.
The treasure horde really is superior. Dragon's in the monster Manual and DMG really don't get the amount of attention necessary to have a dragon hunt feature into a campaign much. Granted, one look at the Draconomicon was what got me into D&D and it's the only book I actually own in real life and don't just have downloaded on the lappy.
The Bronze Dragons are the badasses of the metallic dragons. Golds are cool, but I prefer my goods to be chaotic. XP
Incidentally, that's exactly how I'd play one too. Only with more singing. And by 'singing' I mean 'raucous screeching while destroying things'.
And my obsidian Dragon would roll his eyes and steal your stuff.
I am totally serious about the dragon campaign guys. I don't know how I'll make it happen because I'll still be running our standard one for a while because I have at least 8-10 missions actually plotted out and everything, but there will be an all dragon party kicking around Alceste at some point.
Yay it's Friday! Not long until what has fast become my highlight of the week begins.
It's a shame I have to miss next week's session but that's what I get for planning things in advance and then forgetting about it until the week before the event (I'm going to a gig which I bought the tickets for a the end of October, and only remembered about it when I got the tickets in the post the other day).

I can't make next week's session either. I'm going here for a week.

Well, my other choice would be a chaotic neutral mercury dragon based entirely on Gir. I confidently predict that my character would be dead within half an hour. Even less if everyone is playing chromatics.
I'm not joining tonight guys.
My earphones broke (so I won't be able to hear the awesome), plus my parents got annoyed last time with my loudness, so I'm going to let them rest a bit this week.
I got on late guys, sorry about that. My stove sort of hates me, it took an hour and a half to make soup and then I have to fight with my net for another fifteen minutes. I'm on and set up now, for what it's worth.
Dragon Campaign? Sounds great to me! It would be extremely fun to be a Brass Dragon who's humanoid form is a kender. (Although it would be a challenge not to annoy each one of the party members.) However, I am not so sure that I will be able to join, but I will try to if possible.
(I am quite ashamed of myself for only joining this thread now, as one who loves role playing games.)
By the way, are there any characters you wish to add to this thread? It would be great to see some more cool characters.
Hey guys, bit of an FYI. I got a party planning position here (Apparently we are having an 80s party) at my flat sprung on me and I'll be off tomorrow night helping with that, so unfortunately D&D isn't going to happen this week. Believe me, I'm really bummed, but I am living here and expected to help out with this sort of thing.
Well, apparently corruptbiggins can't make it either, and as for me my plane flight of today at 7am turned into a plane flight tomorrow at 1, that is pretty much the time the game starts. So I would have been out too.
I'll be here, guys. Just a warning though today I got up at six after a night of no sleep, so I many not be fully recovered come tomorrow. I'll have a pot of coffee brewed for the game and everything though.

Lung or Long Dragons. Basically Asian dragons.

Cool.
(I couldn't help it! )
Looks like a place with a pretty chilled vibe. Yo.

Eh, better than the alternative.
Hopefully we can play next week though.
Nope, I am in Hokkaido, and my host family runs a spa. So, yeah, no. Plus, they dont have a mic for their comp and no wifi.
