Okay guys, for those of you who couldn't make it or had to skip out early. We're all at level 4 (All those Burrowing biters added up), so please level up your characters accordingly.

    ...FOUR?!
I left after over three hours, and we were only level 2 back then. How much longer did you guys play?
  • edited March 2011
A full five months. I'm clinically deaf from listening to Icedhope shout "LEEEEROOOOY JENKINS!" for such an extended period.

    It sure felt like it.

Well, I hadn't actually added the EXP up from the Windswept wall mission, so combined with what we got at the Ruins of Gamesh, we had enough to double level. As I said, all those Burrowing Biters added up.

Oh, also we've killed 2 merfolk, 4 octopi and a giant leviathan of the deep, but the EXP from them haven't been added up yet.

I just noticed a bit of genius in me having a wolf for an animal companion. Wolves hunt rabbits, my character hates rabbits and is deathly afraid of them. O' Donnell is the perfect companion.

Ah, so you have this flaw!
My brother had a goon character in my Quest for Glory based campaign. He had the same feat, but he had a very good reason - he came from Mordavia, a country in which the rabbits are vorpal.
  • edited March 2011
I suppose I do have that flaw, but it came to me as a joke from the first time I rolled this character, 2nd Edition Rangers had a species enemy, and I chose rabbit. The DM of that game allowed it, but I never got a chance to use that form of character.

It looks like I may have to miss most if not all of the next session as it's my friend's 30th birthday. If you're on as late as last time I may make some of it.
  • edited March 2011
We will probably be logged in as late as we were last time, my games tend to run this long.

After the ship shenanigans we're back to business as usual (Ruins) for one more mission, but it really depends on luck for how long it is. After that, I've left it a bit more open ended than usual, just because it's going to be very role play dependent. Let me know what you want to do more of and I'll work it in.

EDIT: GUYS I FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING ABOUT levelling. Since we hit level four, you get one point to put into your base stats (Strength, dexterity, constitution, etc.).

WELP. Apparently I'm going to DM an one-shot 4e adventure next week with a bunch of high school kids. Wish me luck :p
  • edited March 2011
I wish you all the luck in the world, mate, but at least it's 4e and not 3.5. Easier to pick up if they've never played. (says the woman who played an epic level campaign for her first game. XP)

Hey guys, sorry for the double post, but I needed to give you all a heads up in regards to the game tomorrow. I will be running it, but my Vikings in Northumbria module is having a trip to Ryesdale the next day and we're leaving at 9 AM GMT. What this means is that the game will probably run about an hour shorter than it normally does.

MAY BE A BIT LATE. PAPER PROOFING AND THAT JAZZ. WILL BE ON @ 8:20 GMT AT THE LATEST.

    You asked for it.

Games Guru Has Played During D&D
Kingdom Hearts II (Only a couple minutes, second session, date unknown)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest (3/4/11)
    Pokémon Crystal/Stadium 2/Blue (3/11/11)
    Goodnight, Telltale!

The fact that you actually put up a physical list makes me far, far happier than it should. ALRIGHT CLERICAL STUFF. For those of you who left early, we're all at level five. Everyone should level up accordingly.
  • edited March 2011
I need to find something on how precisely to do that, with complete detail. I can never remember what to do and the internets is proving useless.
  • edited March 2011
The Player's Handbook is fantastic for that, and it's up on Scribid for your viewing pleasure. There's a list of exactly how much EXP you need to hit your next level, max skill ranks, when you can take new feats/points in base stats, etc. on page 22.

SORRY AGAIN FOR THE DOUBLE POST ON THIS THREAD BUT I'VE GOT SOMETHING OF SOME IMPORTANCE TO DISCUSS: My IRL D&D group is planning to meet Friday instead of our usual time of Monday night. I tried to change this, but was over-ruled. Unfortunately that means D&D for us will not happen this friday. HOWEVER, as this is the last week of term and I busted my ass and finished my paper for all intensive purposes on Thursday of last week. I am pretty much free to DM any other time this week save Saturday or Sunday, if we just want to shuffle the session around. Again, it's up to you guys.
  • edited March 2011
    Im fine any day
  • edited March 2011
Saturdays and Sundays (except yesterday and today, go figure) don't really work for me, but any other day should be just fine. I'm assuming that we're keeping to our same time of day (except for divisionten, who can sleep for an extra hour now)?

Also, you're the damn DM, no need to apologize for double posting, especially when those two posts are over 24 hours apart.

Friday is usually the only day I can be there.

I'm in the habit for apologizing for just about everything except for my cursing, sorry. >.<

Anyway, yeah, it'd be at the same time, and since no one seems to have a preference except for Rem (sorry that we can't schedule this better for you, I know High school doesn't allow for much schedule variation), would Thursday evening work for everyone?
  • edited March 2011
As far as I know I'm free any time. Of course someone else could find something for me to do at any point as well but in theory I should be able to make it any time.
  • edited March 2011
So I have to roll a lvl five charachter, that should be awesome.
  • edited March 2011
Yeah. The next missions ending is pretty open ended too, I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys do with it. ^.^
  • edited March 2011
    Yeah, Thursday sounds great.
  • edited March 2011
And now I know for sure I can't make it on Thursday because of a choir thing, which will be happening until 6.
  • edited March 2011
Since I hope to be back in the US by Wednesday, I would really REALLY like a good game of D&D to calm my nerves if my parents will let me pull away from them for a few hours.
  • edited March 2011
Thursday evening = what time GMT?
  • edited March 2011
Thursday evening = what time GMT?

Well, the games start at noon for me, and I'm Pacific time. So if we're keeping the same times, that would be 3pm for you on Thursday (this week) and Fridays (starting next week).
  • edited March 2011
Wait, we're only on a different day this week? I guess it wasn't specified either way, but I assumed it was a more permanent arrangement. Also, even if it's not, our DM is otherwise engaged next Friday anyway, if I recall.
  • edited March 2011
Oh, I thought it was this week only. Well, it doesn't really matter to me I guess, but that would suck for Rem.
  • edited March 2011
Well, that was just my initial assumption. After re-reading the post, I think she could've meant it either way. Guess we'll have to wait for her to get on to know for sure.
  • edited March 2011
    So... what's up?
  • edited March 2011
The game is today this week, we'll get started @ 8:20 GMT so as to let all the players get here.

As for next week I'll be in Germany, so no game. After that it'll be the usual friday games. It's only rescheduled this week due to my IRL D&D group reshuffling the time.
  • edited March 2011
This game is just insane at times! But in a good way, a very good way!
  • edited March 2011
I post, but cannot hear. Good fun, ol' chap!
