    Thomas Was Alone and Borderlands 2 are really good hope you enjoy them :)
  • edited July 2013
    I already have Thomas Was Alone on PS3, but since was a PS+ game I figured I owed the guy SOME money.

    One thing I've noticed - the Ben There, Dan That/Time Gentlemen, Please! double pack is 90% off, so it's a frankly insane price. We're talking mere pennies here. If you don't already own this, PLEASE buy it.

    Mike Bithell is a great guy...
    I own Thomas Was Alone on PC,PS3 and gave my brother the Humble bundle copy...
    I think I've adequately supported him...

    Also I have Ben there Dan that on my Wishlist so I remember to buy it when I do my final purchasing tomorrow

    Is the foil cards better than the normal cards? I checked the Steam community Market and seen that the foil cards are over a pound more expensive than the normal cards. I got a Foil Dead Island Riptide card for voting on the community sales.

    They're a lot more rare. I've only seen 2 so far for me. Sold for $2 each. Seriously people! Oh well, they bought me a free game.

    Meh I might sell the foil card although I'm not sure if I should or not...

    Unless you're planning to buy or trade for the rest to get a foil badge, I really don't see a reason not to sell it. Wait til the sale is over though. You'll get more for it. Mine were for Portal 2 and ARES so it didn't matter. Even the ARES one was bought in a day. I didn't think anybody even played that game never the less want to badge it.
  • edited July 2013
    Yeah but I never sold anything on the community market before. How do I do it?
  • edited July 2013
    Well I sold the card and got £1.02. Not too bad for a trading card i got for voting :P

    It occurs to me that Tomb Raider and Borderlands 2 both have buckets of DLC.

    Should I be bothered with buying any of it, or waiting for GOTY version that include it?
  • edited July 2013
    Wait for GOTY
  • edited July 2013
    Well after selling a couple of cards i managed to get £2.00 and got Sonic Adventure 2 with the Battle DLC.

    Tomb Raider will have no GOTY. Square doesn't do those.
    Buy the Game, the Aviatrix skin (unless you really like the default look, I don't) and the Tomb Of The Lost Adventurer.
    The rest is cheat unlocks for Single player and multiplayer stuff. And multiplayer is dead. You don't need that.

    Well I sold some more cards and got about 30p, So i decided to get that game Darth was talking about, Time Gentlemen, Please! and Ben there Dan that since its was only 29p with the summer sale.
  • edited July 2013
    All right, let's see here. In the middle of the sale, I bought Chaos on Deponia on the Gala Store for $3.99. As for the summer sale itself...

    7/13 - Tomb Raider - $12.49
    7/14 - System Shock 2 - $2.49
    7/21 - Tomb Raider DLC x6 - $1.94

    So in total, I spent $16.92. So I managed to restrain myself slightly better than last year. If I count Deponia, it comes out to $20.91, which I think puts me about even with last year.

    Heh. I should totally be a salesman.

    Seriously though, you should really enjoy those. Great games.

    So... are we gonna trade cards now? I need a Chivalry and a Skyrim, and I've a ton of dupes if anyone wants to swap. Not quite sure why I particularly WANT the summer sale badge, but hey ho.

    The final deals are up:

    Flash sales:

    * 70% off Crysis 2 - Maximum Edition (Windows): 10,49€ / $8.99
    * 66% off Endless Space - Emperor Edition (Windows/Mac): 8,15€ / $10.19
    * 75% off Total War: SHOGUN 2 (Windows): 7,49€ / $7.49
    * 80% off Retro City Rampage (Windows): 2,79€ / $2.99

    Community's Choice:

    * 75% off RAGE (Windows): 4,99€ / $4.99

    And there's nothing more to vote on.

    GamersGate are still at it with their summer sale and has three Steam redeemables today:

    * 75% off Chivalry: Medieval Warfare: 4,87€ / $6.25
    * 75% off Tomb Raider: 12,49€ / $12.49
    * 40% off The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition: 23,97€ / $35.97

    I don't remember when the sale started, but it's supposed to last a full four weeks, so I don't think it's over anytime soon.

    Ok so I'm done with the sale

    Here's the overall spend:

    Skyrim DLC £15.72

    £78.94

    HAHA! Thats a big spend. And again, its mostly DLC I was catching up on, but I think I got a pretty nice haul there. :)

    Hmm not a bad idea.
    But I'm a little hesistant because these games end up in indie bundles all the time.

    (Plus I have a ton of indie games to play already! XD)

    EDIT: (£4.25 now! Xp)

    It's... okay. It feels like a lesser-quality (or is it perhaps that it's oriented toward kids?) Portal clone with narration by John de Lancie.

    So one for meh, one for hate.
    (Got £4.72 now (if the last things sells, virtually £5. Not bad for getting rid of all this crap tbh))

    Thomas Was Alone was in the Humble Bundle 8 fairly recently so I'm not sure if it will be in another bundle for a while

    Still have about a dollar left in my steam wallet after just selling the rest of my summer cards, what good games are on sale for that cheap? All I know of is McPixel.

    Ah I'm going to keep the money. (Put it towards a pre-order or another sale in the future. I mean I already have Shadorun Returns coming in a couple of days so I don't need to buy anything else)

    So total spend for me is: £78.94 - £4.98 Steam Credit.

    (Maybe a little more back if I earn any cards in the next few hours)
