No but you can discount the price you still have to pay for any item by 3 cents now.

and with the money I save, I can buy... a pack of gum maybe.

I have someone to trade it already though.

Scratch that. That guy bailed out by buying the game he wanted. Who could blame him with these (in this case not daily) deals. I hope his game will be further discounted to teach him a lesson.

Bummer. Just goes to show, people suck. :p

Tell you what: if it does go on sale this week, I'll PM you and we'll arrange some sort of game trade thing. Cool?

OK, this is extremely annoying. Microsoft's having a huge weekend sale on loads of stuff, and I can't buy any of it because A) It's US only and B) My account's been locked following a phishing scam.

Is it possible for someone to gift me something through XBox Live? If so, I could then buy them something else on a different service, say through Steam.

Does anyone know if that's possible, 'cause I'd really like the Da Vinci DLC for AssCreed:Bro, since it's so cheap at the moment. If not, then I'll live, but it'd really be nice to screw the man and suchforth.

Nope. It's a glaring and massive omission from their service. When NINTENDO has an online service that you don't, you know you're in a bad place.

Yep. Called it. Sanctum DLC less than 50 cents. Could have gottena map for free dang it.

I'm glad I didn't buy GTAIV complete and Serious Sam HD Gold pack yet because they are among the daily deals today. So yay for me saving even more money. Or not since I'm actually spending money.

Note: This is not ENTIRELY long-term. While the music itself is DRM-free, you only can download the music from their site 3 times. So store these safely, or at least be aware that you can only lose the tracks three times.
  • edited November 2011
The download page (at least, the one I got) implies a download cap of 20.

FUCK. Well, that's a pain in the ass, isn't it.
Also, 7 more games if you donate $10 or more. Which I did. Music is awesome. Also note the download limit for each album is 20 times if you donate > $9.99. Another incentive? Eh.

    -x-

Apologies for the delay in this. I'd hoped to be back home just after 6 this evening, but I was dog-sitting for my Nan while she was on a day-trip to London and her bus got caught up in traffic. Fun!

Anyway, here's the third set of Autumn Daily Deals.

Back to the Future: The Game - £6.79 / $9.99
(I know feelings are mixed about this one but please don't start telling others they shouldn't buy this, I know what you guys are like!)

    Dead Island - £14.89 / $19.99

    Deus Ex: Human Revolution - £14.99 / $24.99
Deus Ex: HR Augmented Edition (includes Behind-The-Scenes stuff and OST) - £22.49 / $29.99

Explosive Mission Pack DLC (Tong's Rescue and some gear) - 99p / $1.49
    Tactical Enhancement Pack DLC (two weapons and 10,000 in-game credits) - 59p / 99c
Both mini-DLC packs - £1.24 / $1.99 (if you want the cheaper price, you'll need to go to either of their Steam pages to see the pack - it's not shown anywhere else)
    The Missing Link DLC - £4.49 / $7.49

    Flight Control HD - 74p / $1.24

Grand Theft Auto Complete Package (every single GTA game released on PC) - £4.99 / $12.49
    Grand Theft Auto III - £1.49 / $2.49

    Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - £2.49 / $3.74

Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City - £4.99 / $7.49
Grand Theft Auto IV Complete (original game + Episodes from Liberty City) - £4.99 / $9.99
(I remember this from a couple weeks back. Price conversion was odd then too. Also, the first two GTA games, and GTA London, are only available as part of the Complete Package, so you can't buy them on their own on Steam)

    King Arthur - £3.74 / $4.99
    King Arthur: Fallen Champions - £1.99 / $2.49
    - King Arthur DLC -

    The Saxons - £1.49 / $2.49

Perhaps that's the case if you're a cheapskate bastard like me:

Yeah, I donated 10 bucks even because I'm a slightly different sort of cheap bastard (I see a bonus for hitting a limit, I hit the limit exactly)

Interesting that they're creating that kind of dichotomy but it makes sense that they don't want people sharing the download links. I remember in one of the articles about the early Humble Indie Bundle that they weren't annoyed so much by people pirating the bundle as they were with people abusing the links and wasting their bandwidth.

On an unrelated note, it's cool that Stacking is on sale. Shame they couldn't drop it down to a more impulse-worthy $5, but it's still a nice discount that'll hopefully get some new people to try it out. And it's a shame that XBLA doesn't allow for game-gifting because I'd probably force it on a couple of my friends if I could.

I didn't see anything in the $10+ section that I wanted. Isaac's soundtrack is AMAZING, but you can currently get the soundtrack for $0.49 on Steam or $0.99 direct from DannyB, so it hardly makes up for much fo the $9 upgrade cost.

Yeah I sometimes tend to just look at the quantity of music I'm buying without really thinking about the content. Unlike when I buy bundles of games, I actually tend to play most of the music I buy at least once.

Looks like failed downloads add to the tally. Luckily my allowed total just shot up from 3 to 8 for no apparent reason...

    Same.

I'm just a-bit confused why the entire GTA Complete Pack is cheaper than just the GTAIV Complete Pack.

The prices really should be the other way around.
  • edited November 2011
It's exactly the same pricing as the Midweek Madness they had a month or two ago and it didn't make sense there either. Someone got their sums mixed up or something. I'm not complaining, mind!
  • edited November 2011
It makes perfect sense. From a marketing perspective, it makes someone more likely to buy the Complete pack because it's a "better value", even if they don't really want to play GTA IV.

...ugh. Fine, whatever, I'll drop everything to list the various DLC for Civ 5, since I am clearly your slave and need your precious instructions lest my entire life fall into chaos. Happy?

...added. Didn't realize there was a GotY edition. It'd help if they mentioned it on the front page, I have to guess half the time.

Just as I said I would, I picked up LIMBO and Eversion. The Witcher 2 was tempting, but I have no business buying it after buying that 3DS, and I'm sure it'll be on sale again.

    Payday: The Heist - £7.49 / $9.99

Have anyone here played Payday: The Heist? The concept is really interesting, but all the videos I've seen of it just involve mindless shooting and "kill everything mentality".
If it's actually possible to play it without SWAT storming in and butchering civil employees then it would have some appeal. Like, I want to rob the bank stealth-like.
So can anyone tell me if the game is any good?

I've been avoiding this sale as I so many unplayed games; including now Portal 2 which a friend randomly gifted me yesterday - was a very plesant surprise.

I was sorely tempted by yesterday's complete GTA IV for €8.50, Fallout NV + dlc, Limbo, Polynomial today, if they put up NWN 2 or Oblivion deluxe I will really struggle.
  • edited November 2011
I know, it's mean of Seam to do this. Especially right in the run-up to Christmas, when you're trying to save money for presents. Mean!

Congrats on having a stronger will than I - I've probably bought a dozen games over the last few days, and I suspect I'll buy more when today's deals come up. MEAN!

So far, I've only spent $3.97 on this sale, and that was for 75% off DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. I was thinking about picking up the Civ V DLC, but decided against it. Maybe I'll reconsider my budget when(and my guess is that this is a when, not an if) the DLC goes on sale during the Civilization V DLC goes on sale during the holiday sale, when I have a better idea of what I've spent on gifts.
