Also I have to point out that when I play Fallout I have to have NOTHING running in the background.

Else the game won't refresh properly, and black screens are just everywhere.
(Its that kind of black where you wiggle the mouse and it redraws the movement)

    Yay fans.

They patch things the developers refuse to do.

But you don't get the EU version. It should be the NA version and the patchnotes for v. 1.02d mentions kids. (and not that they had been removed but e.g. that one of them has a grenade) Need to check that.
Sorry, I meant it WAS prepatched. As in when it first came out, or was rereleased as a budget title. My bad there.

Today's THQ Treasure over at GamersGate is Red Faction: Armageddon. Which isn't a treasure at all.
Eh, it's only £3.75 (or around the same figure in dollars).

    Today's Daily Deal is Tidalis, a block-based puzzle game. £1.99 / $2.49.

Today's Squeenix Saving is the Dungeon Siege series. If you want the entire series, it'll cost you £9.49 / $9.99 for the Complete Collection, which is all three games plus the Treasures of the Sun DLC for DS3 (poor price conversion there, but what's new?).

Bear in mind the Collection is the only way to get the first two games on Steam, and that they're both the basic versions - no Legends of Aranna or Broken World to be found, sadly.

4 posts in a row! Woo!

    Today's Daily Deal is Sonic 4: Episode I (Liverpool 3). £2.03 / $3.39

    Five Gold Rings!

Today's Daily Deal is the Luxor series. All the games in the series are £2.03 or £2.37 / $3.39 each, while the pack containing the lot (the Luxor Collection - not to be confused with the Luxor Package) is £8.49 / $13.59.

For the record, the Luxor series consists of:
Luxor, Luxor 2, Luxor 3, Amun Rising, Evolved, 5th Passage, Mah Jong and Quest for the Afterlife.

The Midweek Madness is the King Arthur series. Anything to do with the first game is 75% off, while anything to do with the second one is 40% off. I'm not listing them all, it'd take forever.

Just kidding, already got it today before the deal ended.

Today's Daily Deal is Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!, which is £3.05 / $3.39.

I'm pretty sure I remember someone else saying it wasn't very good, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was. Would you do me a favour and just make yourself know so I can ask you how the game actually plays, since the Steam page is completely and utterly useless?

EDIT: Oh, and Age of Empires Online is out now, as is its bazillion add-ons.

Yes and there is a bundle with all DLC that is 66% off and has quite a nice price.

    Also: Demo for DHSGIT:

    Also: Demo for DHSGIT:

I dunno why... but I read that as 'Demo for DOGSHIT'... I was like, 'WHA?!' ... Although, I don't know, that may not be too far from truth :p I don't think I've heard positive things about the game. ... or negative things... I didn't hear about this game at all until this day, so I have no idea.

    Thanks.

Tried it. There's an interesting set of ideas there, but the questionable writing and repetitive nature don't lend itself well to a full game. Oh well.

    Me too.

I wrote DOGSHIT but then I censored myself.

Today's Daily Deal is the On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness duology, also known as 'those Penny Arcade games'. If you don't already own them, castrate yourself. Then buy them for £2.24 / $2.99. If you are female, you have already been castrated and do not need to do so again, since trying to do so would be weird and awkward.

Also, Rayman Origins is out now. Buy it on something, it's a beautiful bit of fun.

    Oh, and hey! Weekend Deals!

First up: Gotham City Imposters. Half price at £5.99 / $7.49.

The other deal is the Trine series. First game's £1.40 / $2, while the recently released second one is £5.99 / $7.49 (or collector's edition, which is both games along with a digital artbook and soundtrack, is £8.99 / $12.49).

Also, oddly enough, there's a Trine 2 Collector's Edition upgrade that appears on the page for the first game, DESPITE ONLY BEING PURCHASABLE IF YOU OWN THE SECOND ONE. Who screwed up there then?

It's more screwed up than that. For a while the CE Upgrade was appearing on Trine 2's page, but not at the discounted price. Now it doesn't appear there at all.

I know it's Penny Arcade, but wasn't it supposed to be a trilogy, and therefore be permanently incomplete (like Bone)?
  • edited March 2012
There was a recent article a couple months ago stating that the Penny Arcade games might finally get its closure in the form of a third game.

But the thrid episode was written. (Can't remember the link for it though...)

So I've been reading. Apparently Zeboyd Games is developing it. I haven't played either of their other two games, but they both seem to be parodies of such as Dragon Quest.

Meh, already have them for PS3. Might buy them again, but, dunno.

Fuck this shit, this is Penny Arcade.

Today's Daily Deal is... Bulletstorm? Wow, I didn't think it was that bad. £3.75 / $5.
  • edited March 2012
Since when does sales mean that a game is bad? (Although I haven't played Bulletstorm, it just seems like a very strange assumption...) It's more than a year old now.
  • edited March 2012
It's not that it's on sale, it's that it's that cheap.

I was also kidding. That helps. :)
  • edited March 2012
If it weren't for the fact that it's a FPS game, which I don't play because I dislike the games, also because I suck at them due to me being quickly disoriented and crap, I would have considered it.
  • edited March 2012
Bulletstorm as far as i'm concerned was the only FPS with a single-player campaign that was worth playing last year.

For the price of two cups of coffees you can't go wrong.

Plus you can grapple a guy and kick him into a cactis crotch first:D

BTW, I would reccomend getting Gotham City Impostors while you can, it is a great game, only flaws being spotty matchmaking at times and it being GFWL.

Sorry for double post, but brace yourselves. Do you guys remember what happened last April First with steam? Yes, the potato attack! Will Valve top that this year?
  • edited April 2012
    Nothing, apparently.

Unless you count today's Daily Deal - Ninja Reflex, which is £2.03 / $3.39.
