Is it just how I read it, or does the trilogy NOT use a 360 controller? One game briefly mentions one, one is overly specific and the other doesn't mention one at all.

All games in the classic trilogy work with my controller (which technically is a 360 controller). That's the only way I would play these games too because the keyboard controls are kind of horrible.
The controls are fully remappable on the controller too.

Oh okay, then I'm in on those. These kinds of games and keyboards are not good bed fellows.

    New Flash Deal:

Prince Of Persia complete pack 75% off
it includes the "Sands Of Time trilogy" and both new ones.

    Well, shit.

At least I have Sands of Time on GOG and I'm not terribly interested in The Forgotten Sands, so I can just pick up Warrior Within and The Two Thrones and finish off the Sands of Time trilogy.

    X Superbox 75%
Swords of the Stars II 75%

Two strategy games, my cue to sleep.
  • edited July 2012
Just thought I'd mention that the Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands Deluxe edition doesn't appear to be available in the UK, for some utterly contrived reason.

Also, that Gothic/Arcania bundle appears to have halved in price since I last checked, so it's actually worth it now.

You're still paying way too much for games that aren't the good ones. Everything valuable in that pack is in the currently $5 Gothic Universe Bundle.

I agree on that. Avoid Arcania and Forsaken crap at any cost!

That's just them telling you right up front that it's crap.
(okay so I checked back right before actually sleeping because I'm an addict)

...and wow, I was way off. I thought GTA had this one in the bag(since the sale probably would've included every game). I guess I shouldn't trust myself. Even though I WAS right about Metro yesterday. There's a bunch of complaining on the community sale forum that also saw the stats as I did.

Wow that was close. Thought for sure that JC2 would win. But no, Dead Space 2. Oh well!

Well EA doesn't want my money for that game. Not available in your region. That's good though. I don't like horror games that aren't scary.

You mean there's more to horror than gore and jump scares? Surely you jest. Maybe you should tell hollywood about this new revolutionary idea? Sounds intriguing.

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition for ten dollars.

    BUY IT.
  • edited July 2012
God damn that's a good deal.

    Latest voting round:
    - Jagged Alliance: Back in Action (which is absolutely terrible and a massive insult to fans of the series)
    - Red Faction: Armageddon (which isn't particularly great and might as well be completely unconnected)
    - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (which is short as f**k and creates massive plotholes)

Not exactly the best set of games to choose from.

It's shit versus shit versus shit. You can't go right with this one.

Ah, but then you don't get the badge upgrade. :(
  • edited July 2012
They've boobytrapped that one, too. If you don't vote, you lose out on progress toward the badges.
  • edited July 2012

Of course you do. There are 30-40 voting opportunities and you only need 20 across all days to get everything for the badge.

    Sale updates:

Red Faction Guerrilla won the crapvote. And then they didn't even discount the whole series. Well it's 75% off if anyone is really interested. I guess not.

    Next vote?
Lara Croft: Guardian Of Light (was a flash sale before) 75% off
Mirror's Edge 75% off (gets my vote)
Beyond Good & Evil 75% off (by far the best game in this vote)

    New Flash Deals
Cave Story+ 75% off. Why don't you own this already?
Shogun 2 75% off (repeat Daily Deal from Day 1)

    New Daily Deals!

Age of Empires III - 75% off
    Assassin's Creed (franchise) - 75% off
    Dear Esther - 75% off
Indie Bundle V (Audiosurf, Gemini Rue, Greed Corps, The Tiny Bang Story and Ys: The Oath of Felghana) - 75% off
    Iron Front: Liberation 1944 - 75% off
Men of War (franchise) - 75% off
    Metro 2033 - 75% off
RAGE - 66% off (Price still isn't converted, grr)
Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic - 75% off

Also, some Flash Deals. Fable III and the F.E.A.R. franchise, both 75% off.
  • edited July 2012
I'm curious to Dear Esther and Tiny Bang Story. How are they?
  • edited July 2012
Dear Esther is a story that is told while you are exploring a deserted island. Finding certain places might drop you a line or not. And the caves are the best looking thing I have ever senn in a video game. How they managed to create that in Source? They must have sacrificed a bag of kittens. For that price it's worth it but finding a good quality playthrough on youtube and watching it fullscreen might give you the same experience.

Tiny Bang Story is a hidden Object puzzle game. It's short, looks great and is also quite worth it at that price.

Thanks for the advice, I'm probably gonna get both.

New Flash Deal! Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Usual 75% off.

EDIT: Winner of the vote was Mirror's Edge. Something went very wrong there.

Latest votees are Deus Ex (again), Modern Warfare 3 (again) and Skyrim (AGAIN). Running out of ideas, methinks.

New Flash Deal is Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Usual 75%.

it will be very interesting to say the least. MW3 had a deal but that was lower wasn't it?
(checked the thread it was 25% off on Day 1)

    It was half-price before, IIRC.

Surprised no-one mentioned the Flash Deals. Dungeon Siege 3 (not available in Europe, grr), Europa Universalis III and the Pendulo Studios Adventure pack are all 75% off. Been waiting for the Pendulo one, so yay!

EDIT: Vote was won by Skyrim. Not entirely surprising, really.

EDIT2: New vote! Batman: Arkham City (franchise), Risen 2: Dark Waters and The Witcher 2.
  • edited July 2012
Yesterday is the most tempting thing in the world right now. I'd probably jump on it if I had, um, money. That is something of a limiting factor, I suppose!

Vote winner was Batman. Well duh.

New choices are: E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy (no), Krater (eh) and Sanctum (eh). If EYE wins, I will film myself eating the most disgusting thing I can think of - Marmite flavoured chocolate.

Latest Flash deals: the Double Fine bundle (75%) and Sniper Elite V2 (50%).

That is perfectly fine, but until they play Psychonauts(that and Monkey Island), they will not be among the elite.

Hey, I'm pushing DF sales here.

Krater has my vote this time because I don't own it.

Grand Theft Auto (franchise) - 75% off
Indie Bundle VI (AaaaAAAA! For the Awesome, DEFCOM, SpaceChem, Ticket to Ride and Trauma) - 75% off, though I've reason to believe this is available in the US, for some reason.

    Railworks Train Simulator 2012 - 90% off
Spec Ops: The Line - 33% off
    Stronghold 3 Gold - 75% off
