I bought it. It's... Intriguing. It's not as weird or as hard as people claim. It has a fair bit of internal consistency. And the puzzle mechanics are what Portal would have been with a matter gun.
Man, if only I could just buy the Alan Wake soundtrack separately from the game. I don't want to rebuy a game just for the one song I'm looking for. Also... why does TW2 go for less on Steam than it does on CDPR's own digital distribution service?
Which track are you looking for? I know a version of the soundtrack is available through Amazon & iTunes, not sure how the Steam one is different.
Just been looking at the various versions on offer now, and I've got a pretty good guess which song you're after now. Well it's one of two anyway, both awesome but as you can get one of them through the band's album (that one being "War") I'll guess you're after "The Poet and the Muse". Unfortunately I don't think it's available legally anywhere other than the Steam soundtrack or the soundtrack that came with the physical limited edition.
There may be a possibility, to me it appears that the soundtrack & some other extras are bundled in a DLC package called 'Collector's Edition Extras'. I think it's possible to just buy this part which should give you the soundtrack. I can't say for sure that it'll work, that it'll download the stuff without the base game being there.
I heard that the single player campaign is laughably bad, but the multiplayer is where it's at.
That means it's a pass for me. Of course, I'm boycotting Gearbox anyway, so I wasn't going to pick it up anyway. At least this means to me that I'm not missing anything.
Since when did they purchase the game back from EA?!
Double Fine always has stipulations in their contracts where the game reverts to them after a set number of sales or over a set period of time (which ever comes first). According to Tim Schafer in an interview with Game Informer, the only game where they gave the IP rights completely away to the publisher (not counting Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster of course, since that was never their IP) was Iron Brigade (aka Trenched), and the Double Fine team is still (rightfully) sore about that point.
All games are of course also available for Windows and, with a few exceptions, Mac.
There's 54 titles in the list and a fair share of them are 75% off. Many of them have been in Humble Bundles, but there's probably some good deals to be made there for most.

The Book of Unwritten Tales is a bargain at 75% off + there's a couple of other adventure games in there. Bastion is a worth getting too.

Sleeping Dogs is huge ever since they patched in all the DLC, but it's worth it.
I'm sure it will if it goes beyond 0% and stays that way.
Thanks for the tip. I've now bought my first game bundle from Amazon. It's probably obvious, but using a non-US address for billing does not work.
75% off, and worth it, I think.
Half price. I don't know much about this - anyone know if it's any good?

66% off, presumably to tie-in with the new DLC costumes.
Daily Deal: Tower Wars. 50% off.
Weekend Deals: Borderlands 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, both 50% off.
Actually, it's Wargame: European Escalation at 75% off, but it's not on the front page.
Odd.
666% off.
Daily Deal:
75% off. This includes the DLC.
Also:
75% off (and still three times too much)
66% off (and NOT overpriced).
Finally, Aliens: Colonial Marine is out now. I've heard VERY bad things about it.
This. DO NOT get the game, apparantly the devs also falsely advertised if Jim Sterling is to be believed.

66% off, which makes it about the same price it currently is on GOG.com. Hmm.

Also 75% off. Lots of offers lately.
Of note - if you want Serious Sam 3, it's even better value to get it through the Valentines Bundle. Just saying.

Should I get it from Steam?
75% off is a good deal. I doubt it will go lower.
Get it if you want it.

Today's is:
66% off. Which should please coolsome (or would, if I wasn't 100% sure he already owns it)
