It's the internet. Grow some thick skin. On both sides.

I dropped $110 so I could get sent the packaging from the US. I'm happy about it. Can't wait to see this thing get started.

I can honestly say I will never ever ever use the report function.

What if someone on this forum unprovokedly launches personal attacks on, say, the Simpsons?

...Except the past 10-12 years. I've seen a few here and there the past decade and none of them really stuck with me. Well one moment did and it wasn't because it was funny. I recall seeing a newer(past few years) episode where Krusty made a random reference to a substance I can't mention here. Big what the fuck moment.

I hate the Simpsons. It sucks. Everybody thinks so, too. Your opinion is wrong. Blarg.

Something left to discuss, something left to discuss... errr, I think it had something to do with Tim Schafer. Can't remember what it was, though...

Not everyone cares. And stop backseat moderating.

That flash game was great. I felt the classic LucasArts humour there. For the first time in actual ages. :)

Don't know how he sent it, but he did; that it LEAKED and ordinary people like us play it now, that was the unintended part. ;)

Damn, if I had half of his (Majus) talent I'd be able to get somewhere in life. I hope it works for him.
  • edited March 2012
If Schafer ever wanted me to create a videogame for him then I would.
In fact he wouldn't have to pay or hire me or anything.

    ...

I want to have his babies!

    (His clever, manly babies! :D)

Oh my GOD could Majus possibly be...

    ...GERMAN?
  • edited March 2012
Yes, yet proper grammar and spelling are useful tools for appearing competent in a professional workplace.
  • edited March 2012
I am rooting for Majus.. he deserves this.. he couldn't be a nicer guy.
  • edited March 2012
    Chyron8472: confirmed for grammar Nazi.

Serious. Majus probably knows full fucking well that he needs proper English to make the cut. Instead of being an asshole and nitpicking, maybe you could pat the guy on the back for a nice presentation.

Well at least it's TTG spellcheck level. Maybe a little worse.

Now I want to see a compilation of all the typos found in Telltale's games. I particularly remember the subtitles for Tales of Monkey Island and Back to the Future having a load of typos.

Even with imperfect grammar, it's still darn impressive, and it stands out compared to a sea of résumés. The only thing is, it's legally painful for U.S. companies to hire wacky Germans (Telltale had to stretch on that one), so that's a big disincentive. I wish him luck, though!

I'll assume that the US are less strict when it comes to mere internships. ;)

I thought I'd post this here for those that don't regularly check their email: The Double Fine Adventure backer forums are now live. The email that was sent out and the latest update on the Kickstarter page have the details on how to get in.
