Good to hear! I updated my profile. You could find me wandering around on the DF Forums as the blue, flaming, question mark fellow.

I still cant get into the backer forums... :(
  • edited March 2012
I wondered why I wasn't seeing you. Prep yourself, it's a mix of the awesomeness that was the Tales forum back when it came out, and some slight dumbness.

You'd have to sign-in with your DF account if you already made one if it has the same email as your kickstarter account. If you don't have an account then you have to make one using the same email you used for your kickstarter account that you used to fund the project. If that doesn't work then DF Support should fix you up right quick.

    Hope this helps.

I'll be posting there when I've got something to say. Can you guess what my username is? Hint: rhymes with 'rave is'!
  • edited March 2012
Guess mine? It rhymes with.... how the hell do you pronounce it anyway? Probably depends which country you're in.
  • edited March 2012
    Mine rhymes with LuigiMan

I'm on there as me. Why change appearance?

Meh. I can't find the backer forums. Because I'm an idiot or something. Or maybe it was because I created my profile two weeks ago? WHO KNOWS.

OH WAIT: I found it. It's the huge forum section that says BACKER at the top. Because I totally missed that. Well, time to go make an optometrist appointment.

Even with imperfect grammar, it's still darn impressive, and it stands out compared to a sea of résumés. The only thing is, it's legally painful for U.S. companies to hire wacky Germans (Telltale had to stretch on that one), so that's a big disincentive. I wish him luck, though!

The luck-wishing certainly wasn't in vain:

Good news for Double Fine. :D

Very good news for them. And kudos to SilverWolfPet! Couldn't happen to a nicer dude.

SWP made the music- he didn't get a job with DF.

    Oh. He's still awesome though.

Great for Majus (and Double Fine's lucky, too)!

For all the people with no possible way of using Amazon, poor people, poor-at-the-time people, people that had no clue this ever happened, or maybe just plain idiots, you can now pre-order the game through Paypal for $15: http://www.doublefine.com/dfa/
  • edited May 2012
    pre-ordered. Finally.

Ahhhhh thanks for the info. So they will eventually get my money. But this month's resources are depleted, unfortunately. June, Tim, I'll make it right.

Interesting. They made a pie chart that details how their 3 millions are split:

    piecc.jpg

10% gone for Kickstarter & Amazon combined and a huge chunk for rewards & the documentaries.

They also made a chart detailing payment. And only 5% of payments were from Germany. Well we don't have widespread credit cards so yeah. Not surprising. Not surprisiung at all.
  • edited May 2012
Not that it's much of a difference, but if I remember correctly, it's 9.75% to Amazon and Kickstarter combined, since Amazon takes their 5% cut first and then Kickstarter's 5% are taken off the remaining 95%.

Yeah, I was surprised to see that there weren't more German contributors in the backer per country stats as well. Especially when we (Norway) accounted for 3% of the contributions with a population of a mere 5 million. Of course these stats aren't too representative, since it's only $100+, so they're bound to be skewed in favor of countries with high disposable income.

Also, credit cards. Like ketzer said, that's gotta count for certain countries not giving more.

An e-mail was just sent out saying that the posters and t-shirts have arrived at Double Fine and are shipping out this Friday to those at the tiers who will be getting them. :D

Still no T-shirt though, so I still wait anxiously for the mail to come. :)

That looks awesome! How big is the poster, if you don't mind my asking, Jennifer? I need to get a frame for mine, and the sooner the better.

My T-shirt and poster were shipped together. The shirt was stuffed into the middle of the poster tube. Were you notified that yours would be shipped in separate packages?

No I wasn't. It's interesting as I was actually wondering about that. I got a card saying that it included a poster, a pin, and a t-shirt, but since the t-shirt wasn't in there I figured that it would come separately.

Hmm... You might want to contact FanGamer. It sounds like there may have been a mix-up.

Hey, maybe there will be scalpers at the entrance! I mean, we have the real mccoy so we can tell whether or not the passes they're scalping are real or not.

I'm not paying 500 dollars to meet Tim Schafer!

Oh wait, I'm paying over 600.

I've played exactly four games that Tim Schafer's had his hands on. You can have my place. But don't think you won't owe me when there's something I want to go to.
