Telltale is not like EA where they can piss off their user base and be okay, this game is much important on PR on standpoint then games that come from a huge company. Even thought Telltale has a good reputation up to this point, this could still be the end of this company.

I seriously doubt it with all the awards they are winning. If it was a crappy game, sure. Because of having to wait and not get an apology for it? Not so much.

I've heard it would be out June 18th. It was a top comment on the episode 2 interview video on youtube. July is supposed to be the 20th, and the other months are TBA. It seems likely to me for it to be the 18th, so if anything, I hope this gives you guys something to look forward to. I sincerely, SINCERELY doubt it will be pushed back past the 20th. Telltale might have problems with microsoft, but they aren't going to risk an entire franchise just for the sake of dealing with Microsoft's bullshit.

EDIT: I lol'd really hard at that, Cthulu. :D

they don't "keep pushing it back;" you just keep checking back before they said.

Really? You paid for the right to tell people "Shit happens"? Where did it say that?

The same place that gave you the right to complain about the release date, aka freedom of speech.
DN:F? Did you pay for it 10 years ago and you only got it last year? No... so the situation is not even SLIGHTLY comparable.

Actually people DID buy DNF all those years ago, so it is comparable.

Amazon does not ship where I live... anything else to add?

Yes, Amazon's copy is digital, same with Telltale's sight.

I do not care anymore, this is stupid, to hell with the second episode. I'm uninstalling the game and forget the money I spent. But one thing I will not forget, games that have the name of you, you are the worst, it is clear that some shit happened, and will not be over here enjoying the stench, your kids, I'm leaving ... And do the favor of banning my profile of this garbage you call a forum that is only good for a bunch of idiots were discussing the shit that you did and not have any answers. *snip*

At first I thought the sniper graphic was Michael Jackson doing the Moonwalk. o.o Must be late.

I kinda hope a lot of people rage quit this forum with their whole 5 posts and all that. If you're displeased with TellTale, hey that's cool. You have the right. But if all you're going to do is be negative and just voice your anger over and over and over again...just admit that you don't want to buy another TellTale game again and just leave if you're not getting what you want. Like that guy. I can't fault him for at least acknowledging how he feels and as-far-as-I-know backing it up.

But this is still a community...and people are going to defend TellTale and people are going to apparently talk smack on them (by them I mean Telltale, by the way. You're more than welcome to talk smack on me and other people in this forum. I give you all the authority in the Internet. Course I really don't have authority so use that at your own risk). Tis the nature of socializing. But you know...it'd be like me going into a forum and suddenly talking smack on my country's government. "I hate you Obama, I'm not going to vote for you!" Well do you think Obama cares? Nope! And neither does anybody else.

I don't really think there is going to be some sort of revolution happening here by some people that sign up to express their anger at TellTale. In fact...TellTale is kind of just watching us. There will probably be TellTale's next random game. Screw poker. It's going to be some Monkey Island dueling over polarizing issues such as Episode 2. :)

That is certainly one view of it. Another way to view it is its a fucking delay...one delay...not even a full month has gone by yet. And just because one episode is delayed does not mean they all will be...that's flawed logic.

Right in the same place that said you had the right to complain because you paid.
The right to complain derives from customer/seller relationships... you and me have no agreement whatsoever, therefore you don't have a right to tell anyone "to deal with it" or any other such nonsense.
You can say it but this fanboy behavior of yours does not profit TTg either, because your adding even more pressure to this situation, by dissing the other customer.
Actually, gamestop did put out pre-orders for duke nukem forever about 15 years ago... if you held onto your receipt for all that time, you would still have the ability to pick up the game when it did release. So yes, comparable. And, by the way, thank you for a good example of ad hominem.
Still irrelevant, because that company's behavior does not create excuses for the one at hand, neither the fact that the ones who pre-orderd got their product or their money back.
An investment contract is a contractual obligation. and considering their investors shelled out 7 million dollars, I say they have more of a right to know than you. It's a business contract. They need release dates to project profit margins. It has everything to do with it.
Oh so now they only have "more of a right" (so customers have a right too), based on the fact that thier contract is worth considerably more... JUST WHAT I SAID IN MY FIRST REPLY TO YOU that you'd see yourself more entitled to it if you invested more.
Don't get me wrong, your motivation might be totally different but my reply was an "example of in case you would have" and not targeting you as a victim, any motivation in this matter would have the same result.
Yup, Some people see obstacles, others see challenges to rise above.
    Does not solve anything.
    Show me my logical fallacy.
You say you have rights over other. (hit see earlier part of discussion)

Yes, a plan for the investors so that they could project the profit margins. Not so you can complain that you don't get your game when you want it. Do you have a right to complain? Sure, knock yourself out. Do I have a right to call you on it? Sure do!
See above for reason why not...

No, the right to complain derives from something else than freedom of speech (see above reply), plus freedom of speech does not mean freedom to say anything that constrains others rights!

Actually, Freedom of the speech and the fact I have invested as much as you have said I have equal say in the matter, and I choose to use my say to tell you to deal with it. Perhaps you should keep up with your own argument... the original argument was that they could foreseeably delay for 10 years and not breech contract...And that is correct. It happened with DN:F. Your gripe was that DN:F is not even remotely comparable...and you were proven wrong. Irrelevant or not, you were proven wrong.

I think your reasoning is a bit off buddy. The entire purpose of a business contract is to make money...of course it takes precedent over contracts for entertainment purposes. Amount of money is not the issue...its the type of contract. The fact they have 7 million dollars riding on it means that they have a need for the information you seem to deny they have a need for.

All you Telltale ... er, supporters? apologists?, I really don't want to use the F word here ... but anyway, do me a favor for a minute.

Think about what you are doing. There are people who are coming here voicing a complaint. Maybe they didn't quite parse the market speech carefully enough, but for whatever reason they feel that they are receiving a purchased product later then expected.

How are you receiving them here? How are you encouraging them to put this problem aside and give Telltale a chance? By assuming the stance of a pretend lawyer and attacking the words while ignoring the meaning? By attempting to divert and deflect the discussion? (One of the earlier complainers literally had his childrearing skills questioned by a poster here, for God's sake.)

You do realize you are doing more harm to the company's reputation than the weeks of delay, don't you? I have read people here that I seriously doubt will ever buy a Telltale product again, due to their treatment here.

But then that's Telltale's fault too, I suppose. When you leave customer support to the fans........

+1, Think the loyalists are trying to call into question the legitimacy of peoples claims based on thier own ideals. You might be as patient as the Dali Lama, but these chaps do have a right to complain (although this also can only extend to a certain point, you guys who threaten etc. Telltale have no sympathy).

Still, doesn't the content of this thread contridict the point that keeps being made about the benefits of episodic gaming, a strong community to discuss and support the actual game, not spitting bile at each other. We all enjoy the game, moanings hasn't helped, and the reactionary fanclub it just fanning (excuse the pun) the flames, so maybe a more productive atitude is needed.

well i believe this fiasco will teach TTG not to over hype a game and then falsly give people month expectations maybe they will not say that when they release fables. TTG quality in games is gettin better this company is becoming bigger and bigger withe ach release so far. If i had to guess they are taken longer this time around because of the contest problably rendering and drawing in some poor sap so he can appear as a zombie.

Has anyone nearby driven past the Telltale building to make sure it hasn't burnt down? That would be embarrassing.

I remember going to see The Strokes back when they were good. They were over an hour late on stage and I, like everyone else, was getting pissed off waiting. I was made to just stand there getting tired and hot with no communication from the authorities letting us know what was going on. I wanted to walk out and throw their records away when i got home, but of course as soon as they ambled on stage and played their 11 songs all was instantly forgiven and it was a great night.

I guess that is what Telltale is expecting. Let people get as angry as they want, it will all be forgotten as soon as they get their grubby hands on episode 2.

Luckily for me I'm unaffected as these days I find Telltale's games cheap, clunky and almost totally devoid of challenge, and therefore I'm only astonished by Telltale's baffling silence towards their paying costumers. Now if it was Monkey Island or Sam and Max...

But people have said this has happened in the past as well they won’t change their policy because they know it will affect the bundle sale pack, I doubt most of their money comes through from one episode here or there and if they do give correct accurate dates I'm sure most people wouldn't buy the bundle pack for all episodes.

It's good business to lie :-D

If they were voicing a unique view on the complaint or perhaps a different complaint, sure. But Seriously there have been pages and pages and pages of the same thing. I think that should fall under the repeat post rules if you ask me.

And let me also point out something that might also be the cause for the silence. When episode one didnt release on day one of projections, people badgered them for information. They got information...maybe a bit vague but only what they were allowed to say at the time. People started harrassing the telltale team for not telling them what is going on. They then said, "Fine, You don't appreciate the information I am giving you, I won't bother anymore." You know what they say: once bitten, twice shy.

You've been blowing off a lot of repetitive steam as well. Posting "shut the fuck up", gif or not, is just plain bad form, it IS insulting and derogatory and you should not do it. This is flaming. There, I said it. Keep your head cool when you post, you're in explosion mode and that's the wrong mood to post in.

That doesn't mean that the thing you just made the mods aware of isn't ugly as well. This shouldn't happen and we'll deal with it.

Voices here may be similar and yes, the more users complaining, the more weight. I personally don't like what this thread has become - heck, it was once meant as a fun game to guess the release date. And what fun it is now. At least the discussion about the delay could be kept a weighing of arguments, no more, no less.

Speculatory. We are not dealing in issues of what ifs and might have beens. We are talking about facts. Fact: investors have a business contract for a set amount. Fact: they need to know when to start expecting a return on that investment. Fact: release dates provide that for them. The amount invested is irrelevant. I could buy one share at $25 and still expect to know when I start to see a return. That is why its the type of contract, not the amount that is important.

People like Cthulhu are flamers. It doesn't help to the situation. If you're not part of the solution you're just another problem. You can't say that the lack of information from Telltale it's good. You can't defend this, seriously.

I like the Telltale games so much as you but I'm not gonna defend this attitude Telltale have towards ALL his customers (including YOU) because it's WRONG and it's RUDE (like your last posts, Cthulhu)

What we need now it's solidarity among us and not this kind of rudeness from another users that think Telltale it's gonna offer them some kind of job or prize or something.
