So, after all the arguing and name-calling, Still no game, Still no information. Right?
Anyway, here are a couple tidbits. Firstly, the steam page has been updated with different wording (now the episodes will be released "periodically" rather than "monthly")
Additionally, June 18th is floating around as a rumored release date, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
you are a very unproffesional moderator, I would just like to point out, maybe this reflects telltales personal business model? i sure hope not, I kinda like telltale after only one episode of walking dead....idk I am patiently awaiting episode two, and pop on here to try and get "the skippy" but all I see is unproffesional forum moderators and people whining about not being told crap, oh and the mountain of forum trolls telling you all to calm down..... *snip*

I'm hoping this is just a mix/wind up, but Telltale updated the game's page on Facebook with a link to an Official Xbox Magazine preview of episode 2, the last sentence of said preview reads,
"Telltale said Episode 2 should be available in the next month or two; we’ll be eyeing it like a walker scoping out its next warm-bodied meal."
TellTale has got this all wrong.
This company should have had this game already in the can ready for sales ( all episodes), before the 1st episode was sold.
This game should have been put out bi weekly also. I bought the game and every week I've looked at Xbox and this web page for updates on the release of the 2nd episode with No news from TellTale about it.
This what Class Action Lawsuits are all about.
This company takes our money and does not inform its customers as to what is going on.
This is Bull Sh1t.
I loved the 1st episode, and if the other games do come out I'm sure I'll love them too. I'm a fan of both comics and TV show as well. But with this delay brings resentment. If I had just paid per episode, I would have only payed of that ONE and only one episode.

I think he's a pretty balanced forum moderator. He generally isn't afraid to let people know when they are out of line. On the other hand, he isn't quick to lay the hammer down on threads. It's sort of a "we'll let things play out" approach that generally seems to work with rational people.
The word is also "unprofessional." There is spell check on this forum. You couldn't bother to correct it when you are calling out an authority on the site? I'm not even sure why you did.
And you're kind of complaining about everyone here. Everyone. And you're also suggesting that the people in this forum kill themselves. That is not only mean spirited, but it's kind of...well I'll just go out on a limb and say it's plain rude.
Shame on you, sir.
Some of us may have different opinions, but at least we don't want to kill each other.
Treat mods with respect, and likewise everyone else. It's the very least of the civility you should exercise on a forum.

At the end it's gonna be true: the second episode will be released when the hell freezes over.
LOL! Or during the actual zombie apocalypse. But you know...it'll still be flippin awesome when it comes out. I just wonder what'll happen to this thread when it is released. Probably closed. And then we'll be like, "TELLTALE! WHAT THE...oh...hmmm...WHERE IS EPISODE 3!!!?!?!?!" Haha.

Well I'm a long time customer, and even I am finding it hard to defend this attitude now. Please give us something, because all people are doing are tearing into each other. I'm just surprised that it's been so silent on the forums and can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Telltale have always been good about keeping it's customers informed.
I'm sure someone must have already mentioned it, but regarding the possible waiting time for future episodes, I'm just noticing how prescient those Episode titles are and could be, especially if the Mayans were right. (They need to change episode 4 to 'Time to Kill')
Good night
Actually, You have the right to say what you feel and I have the right to react to it. Welcome to the internet. Pissing on your rights? Did I ever say you have no right to complain? No. Your point is lost.
Are you denying me my right to respond to your posts in whatever way I see fit as long as I don't say the words "You do not have a right to complain."? Only person who has say over that is the forum moderator. I can react in any way I see fit as long as its not deliberately offensive and inflammatory. "Shit happens" doesn't really fit that.
Well feel free to "express" yourself but bring a real argument to the table not "shit happens", "deal with it" or "shut the f up", cause they all send the same message: "stop posting your complains", even if it's not clear and in caps.
And you were that brought up the counterargument which was irrelevant that I responded to it with the appropriate proof. Give yourself a hand.
My counterargument stands the matter you brought up (about DN:F) is irrelevant, because what happened in the case of DN:F does not create excuses for this.
Speculatory. We are not dealing in issues of what ifs and might have beens. We are talking about facts. Fact: investors have a business contract for a set amount. Fact: they need to know when to start expecting a return on that investment. Fact: release dates provide that for them. The amount invested is irrelevant. I could buy one share at $25 and still expect to know when I start to see a return. That is why its the type of contract, not the amount that is important.
FACT: it was not specified it's only to be taken as an estimate, and it's only going to benefit share holder. FACT: it was presented to customers that it will release on a monthly basis. FACT: you are actually the one who speculates for who it's intended and to what extent.
Nope, you need to find a way to buy games that offers a return policy, which is your gripe...which, by the way, is not TTG's fault you can't get a refund. That is MS.
No I don't. I never said that. I said: "customers don't have an obligation to patiently wait" meaning they can complain all they want, you assumed I wanted a refund.
My God...you youngsters are seriously lacking in rock culture, aren't you?
Angels & Kings is Pete Wentz's bar (Fall-Out Boy) down in LA.
OU8121 (sth) is a famous album by Van Halen that I never dug, but millions of other people apparently did.
The picture is a rock/promo thing, not an actual mugshot.
Play more guitar, smoke more happy herbs and chill. Ep 2 will come and it will be glorious. Go live a little in the meantime.
Hope there is some truth to it, if not i guess its ok as long as it is not blizzard waiting time. (Starcraft I 1998 Starcraft II 2010, and HOTS or LOTV still have no date)
This is not official information. It is a single youtube commenter who made things up because he desperately wants release dates. I'm really sorry, but it's pure fantasy. According to the commenter "MajorBoom", he has the info from the Walking Dead wiki, which was fed with completely wrong release date information by fans for two months now.
With some hope it could be the date but if not no biggy Its worth waiting for! Again if it is 12 years we might have a problem. (guess i could replay esp 1 again and save Doug)
I dont mind waiting for this game as i believe it is worth the wait.
But I dont understand how in a discussion forum there are members who think its right to tell other members that they are not allowed to complain. Especially if the discussion is related to the delayed release date for that specific game which they are probably looking forward to play. I have read a lot of freedom of speech mentioned by people who are telling others not to say what is on there mind. Whatever someone has to say about the game in a thread about a release dates for a game is well within the specifications for posting within that thread, People commenting negatively on other peoples comments however does not fit within those specifications. Please people cant we all just get along??
Hmm. This is getting a little sad telltale, stuff does happen, but come on now. Released periodically? Please tell me that's just to get people off your backs and NOT a confirmation that this series won't be monthly.
To think you guys are the best in the buisness when i comes to episodic games...
I heard that the next episode will only be released when 98% of players have saved Doug. We all know he's a real guy, but what most of you don't know is that he's chained himself to the Telltale Games server room door and wont get out of the way until we've shown him some love....

It just klicked. The whole point of TWD is to see how people act in extreme situations and what choices they are making. Well, TTG is just doing the same for us here in the forum...;)
No for real: everybody has a right to complain - they should if they want. But this won't change a thing. Here is how I see it:
TTG announced plans for a montly release and released ep1.
TWD was a success and it was very important to show ep2 at E3.
Unfortunately this led to a delay and they announced "end of june" as a predicted release date.
This is all that happened since now. Nobody has been robbed of his money and the game will be released with just a little delay for ep2. I think that is not such a big deal.

you cant say they were wrong. you took my thread down when it was talking about delays and then what happened? While I'm not going to say walking dead wiki is a reliable source, I don't think you can just discredit it.

The point here is that Telltale doesn't confirm anything or inform either so all we left to do it's guessing what happens. The news fom reviewers from E3 doesn't help. Each blog/review tell something different each time about the release date.
Heck, maybe they changed their mind and now they want to release the whole game, like they do with Jurassic Park.
This situation don't help to calm people down. We need Telltale tell us something.
you cant say they were wrong. you took my thread down when it was talking about delays and then what happened? While I'm not going to say walking dead wiki is a reliable source, I don't think you can just discredit it.
We can because there is no basis to their claims. Telltale has not once stated a release date. Heck the last time they mentioned a date, they said that THEY don't even know the release date for the game just yet.
Well feel free to "express" yourself but bring a real argument to the table not "shit happens", "deal with it" or "shut the f up", cause they all send the same message: "stop posting your complains", even if it's not clear and in caps.
It's not surprising you missed the point I was actually trying to make with my comments like "deal with it" or "shit happens." My point I was trying to make was these things happen. Does it suck? Yes, Is it the end of the world? No. A bit of perspective is all I was calling for. And in any case your argument can be made that your complaining gives me a right to complain about your complaining. After all, we are all free to complain if we wish. That yours is based on a different issue is not the point. Its the right to complain you are fighting for. And I am simply exercising my right to complain as well.
My counterargument stands the matter you brought up (about DN:F) is irrelevant, because what happened in the case of DN:F does not create excuses for this.
No, your counter argument was to the fact I countered your obvious attempt to try to make me saying they are not obligated to release it every month into an argument for them being able to take 10 years to do it. Hyperbole to say the least. And I simply pointed out that even if it did take them 10 years...that still would not constitute a breech of contract. They never had you sign a contract with them with your signature when you purchased the game...you simply purchased the game. They said it was going to be released over time. It will be. That time was never clearly defined. They left it vague for a reason. Leeway.
FACT: it was not specified it's only to be taken as an estimate, and it's only going to benefit share holder. FACT: it was presented to customers that it will release on a monthly basis. FACT: you are actually the one who speculates for who it's intended and to what extent.
lets break this down a bit.
1) I'm glad you agree with me on that fact finally.
2) Can you show me proof that on the telltale site they said monthly? I could have sworn it always said periodically. If it didn't say it on the TTG site, then it would be the third-party retailer's fault for misquoting it.
3) It's actually something that has been confirmed by most companies in the industry.
No I don't. I never said that. I said: "customers don't have an obligation to patiently wait" meaning they can complain all they want, you assumed I wanted a refund.
I'm sorry but then why did you bring up the fact you can't get a refund from MS as a response to one of my rebuttles? Trying to muddy the point?
you cant say they were wrong. you took my thread down when it was talking about delays and then what happened? While I'm not going to say walking dead wiki is a reliable source, I don't think you can just discredit it.
I have great respect for the people who work for that wiki. The speed with which it was filled with character and storyline info, including the choices, immediately after release of episode 1, was impressive to say the least. But no official, specific info about the release date was ever announced by Telltale, still the site insisted on posting every unfortunately false date fans could ever invent in the last month. So, no, I don't discredit that wiki as a whole and never would - but they're NECESSARILY wrong on release dates as long as there is no official info straight from the horse's mouth.
Concerning the closed thread thing: Damn, I thought we had clarified the why's of that a month ago and you wouldn't hold a grudge. Now I'm hurt.
Hahaha wow, they have the time to cover their backs, and on the low as well, such snakes, but no time to type up sorry, a 5 letter word, less effort than periodically, and I was starting to feel bad for complaining (delays don't bother me, but lack of customer respect does)...anyway TTg, get on with the rest of the episodes so i can complete your game, get my money's worth and forget about your company.
i cant wait for the uproar when episode 3 releases "late" also...
its a smaller company guys, cut them a break. episode 1 was a little "late" also, but it was awesome and well worth the wait. Just be happy its not a delay of Jurassic Park proportions. E3 is a huge deal to gaming companies and gamers alike, and if they put the bulk of their time into getting their name, and the walking dead game out there, thats fine by me. Also I'm sure they can toss the game out to us now, but they probably haven't because they feel just a few more days of work cleaning up bugs and such will make a world of difference. I'd rather wait another whole month than play a game that bugs out every 20 minutes or so. When I finally do get to play the game, I'd like to enjoy it... just saying
This is getting ridiculous, we were told a new episode every month. I understand being a week behind, but 2 weeks. How about posting news updates on steam so people know whats going on and when they will get their games. its not the wait which is causing the most anger, its the lack of communication.
The game isn't behind schedule. Telltale often takes a few months between episode one and two to give themselves some wiggle room. If you look at Telltale's blog, they announced back on May 17 that episode two would be released at the end of June. We've still got two more weeks before you have to start worrying that the game is behind schedule.
haha I love how people get so bent out of shape about this waiting stuff, that when the game comes out they cant even enjoy it. I used to be a complainer myself, but the realization that a quick release will lead to a sub-par product (BttF science fair episode pops out in my mind, bugs, crashes, and situations where you couldn't advance in the game) and if I were patient enough to just wait till I am given a fully working product, I'll be rewarded with a great experience. On the contrary, if I sit here and refresh all day and complain till my fingers hurt (which I've done many times...), even when I finally get the product, I still carry the shitty attitude while playing, therefore bring down the whole experience.
Just hang in there guys and girls, we still got 3 more episodes after this one!
Comments
Sorry, I wrote my post before noticed that people have been posting before.
Well, they can do "Playing Dead" from jail, hahahahaha.
PS: It's AJ for real? Tell me it's a guy who looks like AJ. Well, everybody we have this crazy moments in our life.
It's AJ man, I found it on his facebook. And posted June 7th
