Borderlands is probably longer but I'd still vote for Dead Rising but that is only because I didnt think much of Borderlands. Other than great visuals I thought it felt repetetive and dull theres gonna be loads of people who disagree with me though. It depends what you are looking for in a game i suppose because they are very different
so would it be acceptable for me to start mangling the french language in text, to you? Now, I'm sure you didn't spell check (which is automatic on this site) so really it's a matter of posting before checking. A little foresight will save everyone the interpretation.

To be fair if you tried to post in a french forum in french you might make a pretty poor job of it.
sk1985 is doing a much better job of english than I could ever do at french and that persons input is as valid as mine or yours.
sk1985
I haven't played Borderlands, but I love Dead Rising OTR, I've played through it twice great fun.
Dead Island wasn't bad either, it has faults but it's really long and did give me a few jump scares.

I always thought Lovecraft was kind of overrated. I suppose in the age of pulp fictions he was probably ahead of his time...what with the idea that the human race was NOT the center of the universe and that there were creatures that man paled in comparison to...
But his idea of horror, to me, was just silly. The guy would tell you...just how horrible something was...but he didn't show you. He was always kind of vague...THE HORROR WAS EXTREME AND TERRIFYING...but why? I didn't feel extremely horrified. I always just thought it was kind of silly...and a lot of time melodramatic. Like the guy whose horror was that he had some "ape" in his geneology. Or the guy that ended up becoming a fish man at the end of Shadows Under Dartmouth. Or the ending where the guy is looking for the Necronomicon and I think he ends it screaming, "THE HORROR! THE HORROR!" or something silly like that in that tunnel or cave or hole or whatever he was in.
Overrated.
And yet at the same point his mythos was quite interesting. I just didn't enjoy the style of the writer. I thought Robert E Howard's flirting with the mythos in his one Conan story, what with the crazy Elephant god thing and all that...was a lot more entertaining and captured my interest.
Now all this said and done what does this have to do with the OP?
Telltale have really fucked this up. Halfway through June and we still haven't heard anything about Episode 2 which is meant to release in June. It's ridiculous. It's a great game, but it's not like it's a huge secret blockbuster, we still have four more episodes to go so Telltale need to get over themselves and bring out Episode 2.
Sooo i'm all new to this forum and I read a few pages prior to the whole release date but I still don't know when episode 2 is going to be released i'm not one to normally moan about this but it's defiantly a lot more frustrating for those who paid in advanced (me included) that we would just be left in the dark like this i feel so abused right now its now the 15th i still know nothing my confidence in TTG is weakening each passing day if anyone actually has info plllllllllllleeeeeeaaaaaassssseeee tellll
Don't let anybody give you info, because there isn't much...
The PC/Mac version of episode 2 is announced for (late) June, so we'd have the episode by the 29th at the latest. If they don't even make THAT date, I'd assume that we'll finally get some official info beforehand. They can't keep quiet that long.
One website has reported that Telltale "cited that the certification process with Xbox Live was the reason for the delay". That is somehow unconfirmed info, and I just don't see how it would influence the PC release date at all, but it would be good news if the certification process had actually started. After all, they would have to submit their first build before certification even starts.
Tbh it is alarming that nobody from TTG has posted for ages. Why has it been so quiet? In the past you have been so good communicating with your fanbase. It is concerning.
masta a ttg employee does post occasionally but because they all working there fingers to the bone to get the game done....other wise the lord marshal will whip them raw..

But how do you know that? i mean its all very well saying that there working hard but no one works that hard that they cant even give us an actual proper release date other then late June or even say oh hai guys were super sorry for leaving you all in the dark for so long i mean its just rude
They clearly didn't think this through when they released the first episode. It took them years to make the first one, and now they expect their employees to make the second one in a couple of months?! Don't be naive. The quality of the second episode will be pretty bad at best, and after all this waiting too. They have not posted an update since 22nd May, and have been very quiet about all the delays, so clearly they have hit problems too big for them to solve.
I expect episode 2 at the end of July or beginning of August. And I don't realistically see the 3rd, 4th, or 5th episodes ever getting released at all, tbh.
TTG made a lot of money on this game, now is their time to get out of the games industry. Yes, I want my money back, but I don't see that happening. Bad impulse buy.
Not "in June" but "at the end of june" - so we still have time before using the *f* word
But it should be expected to have a release date long before release (I'd say 3 weeks min). We only have 2 weeks of June left pretty much. And Telltale have promised monthly and we haven't, and they haven't spoken to us about the release. I think it justifies using the F word Still can't wait for Episode 2 though.

Nah, not all of them, someone from ttg is posting interviews, promotions and general backslapping nonsense on their facebook page on a daily basis.

Lol funny logic. They've been working on all five episodes for years, they didn't release the first on til they were finished with all the basics. They are probably just testing installers and bugs at this point. The episodes are all finished, except for episode 4 which they need to add the contest winners into, but the scenes are already finished.
Hopefully the estimated release date is correct and we'll have our hands on ep2 in just a few days!!!

It didn't take them years to make 1 episode. It took them years to
Write the ENTIRE plot(that includes subplots and all the times the characters/plot changes due to your actions)
Design the characters
Legal issues
Update the engine
THEN make episode 1
Have other teams already prepping episodes 2-5.
Don't be naive. The quality of the second episode will be pretty bad at best, and after all this waiting too.
Yeah, not really, the quality could suck, but not for your reason.
I expect episode 2 at the end of July or beginning of August. And I don't realistically see the 3rd, 4th, or 5th episodes ever getting released at all, tbh.
Someone has never bought a telltale product. They have yet to not complete one of their seasons(then again, they've never delayed an episode either before this.)
TTG made a lot of money on this game, now is their time to get out of the games industry. Yes, I want my money back, but I don't see that happening. Bad impulse buy.
The heck? Why would they get out of the games industry?
And this my friends is why you stay in school, because clearly zero thinking was involved in this post.
I hope it's out by my birfday on June 29th!!!! I heard a rumor that it'd be the 18th.. just a rumor, with nothing to back it up... but that sure would be coolie! I can hardly wait!
I'm playing many other games right now, WoW, D3, DCU, LoZ, Mario, GTA, but they just don't keep me satisfied because always in the back of my mind I know I'm impatiently waiting for E2 OF TWD!!!!
These forums have been a good pass-time as well I wish TTG would come out more and tell us more about the development and such.. they've been pretty quiet, too, quiet, which I don't like, especially since they obviously have such an impatient fanbase!
yes they have...jurassic park was delayed as was bttf probably others..
I meant mid season like what is happening now.
As in episode 1 of a game came out and then episode 2. Back To the Future was openly stated to have a 2 month gap between episodes 1 and 2 when preorders started, so that wasn't a delay.

shame you have a ps3 though...

Says the poster with the sig:
ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
If my translating skills serve me well, this reads
"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming."
Hmmmm..........(wonders if asking if this is true will make him look stupid)..
Someone hasn't read Lovecraft.
No, its a correct translation. And you are not stupid, just uninformed.
I have! I even like the band named after the great man.
I'm sure I've read the Cthulhu story, but it was a long, long time ago.
I hope they really do get it out soon!

The Stars Aligning Just right is the current release date for episode 2
So this conversation is Relevant
TWD has sold OVER A MILLION COPIES. I doubt you purchased the first episode, *snip*
And as for the message you just quoted and I swiftly deleted, maybe people need a reminder how things are working here. From the forum guidelines:
It's such an obvious rule on a game developer's forum... isn't it an obvious rule on a game developer's forum??

Conspiracy theory, indeed! Needless to say, I'm enjoying the latest season of Breaking Bad and Max Payne 3. I can wait!
