i wouldn't waste a sick day if i were you because even if it dose come out telltale dosent release there games till later in the evening (unless your working a night shift, then go ahead lol)
TWD Episode 1 was out on Xbox around 5 in the morning. How do I know? Because I woke up at 4 to wait for it.

this might have been because the xbox release was a few days after the pc and ps3 release so technically it was already released at that point but i can not say for sure, im just speaking through my past experiences with telltales releases
i thought xbox released at six in the morning? doesnt matter at 6 ill be dling ME3 EC DLC , Penny Arcade 3 / Dawnguard Both if TWDG ep2 isnt on the list
Jesus, gamers really are entitiled assholes. Why has the gaming community got the worst community?
The game will come out when it's finished, stop acting like little babies.
It just shows how many newbies this game has brought in. I mean they have to be new because this isn't anything new with Telltale. Sadly it did seem to bring in the typical intitled impatient crowd that plagues the gaming community these days. What can i say? That's why i never buy a season pass lol.
right...but we were told the end of June. Now there is less than a week. So we are really not in any different position. I'm starting to lean towards July just because if they are that close how can they not set a definite time table?

I think I'll go with George RR Martin on this one.
I have learned! I've been burned too much by that, so I'll just say... it will be done when it's done.

That is almost true (the June release was announced in a Telltale video/blog post regarding TWD, so THAT at least was official). Everything else however was information the press had solely acquired at E3 and that was at the beginning of the month. It's hard claiming things like "it was never like that before, so it won't be like that now" in days like these, but I will risk it one more time: Telltale will announce the release date to their customers first, BEFORE anyone of the press can. They'll take flak for it whatever the date, and I really don't want to read the blog post comments, but they'll do it.
Not that it's worth arguing over, as I'm still not overly fussed about the release "delay", but I'm 99% certain that "June" popped up on IGN before that video premiered.
That and Steam announced the release date for Episode 1 before the official site did - just saying, there has been a bit of a trend here when it comes to this specific series of outside parties supplying the information.
Hopefully (and this I am fussed about), TTG will get in front of this type of thing in the future and announce any further "issues" here upfront rather than customers having to rely on trawling Kotaku or IGN etc. for information - that's the only thing that's annoyed me with this particular situation.
EDIT: I am also curious to see if these "Certification Issues" have resulted in any cuts to the content of Episode 2 - have to admit that I was quite surprised at the gore level of Episode 1.
if it's not out by tuesday......

I think I'll go with George RR Martin on this one.
we were told HOPEFULLY late june.
We were also told "...over the course of 5 months you will get to really know the characters." in episode 1 of Playing Dead. I'm not expecting it to be released this month...

Delays are okay when they you convey your reasoning in a timely fashion to your current and prospective customers... none of this has been done by the TellTale group.
So you're telling me you have countless number of employees and you don't have 5 minutes of your time to address the 200,000+ views.
It's not that hard. Send out a press release with what you know. I don't need a concrete date, just something you let us know you even know you remember us.
You come off as a company that took $20 and decided to take a vacation. While they may not be the case, convey that to us.
Delays are fine and understandable, but shitty Customer Service is not. The game could come out in August for all I care, but let us know that you are working towards it and August is a possibility. When you're only message towards us in 2 months is June then you're late.. how could we not be upset.

Hello and welcome to the forums. I'm going to guess you did not bother to read this thread before posting, which to be honest, is quite understandable...after all it is now 94 pages long.
It does however mean that you have missed the response that you were looking for, notably here and here.
Now, again, you probably have not read the forums, but as they say...ignorance is not bliss.
just hoping by pissing so many people off with unexplained (or poorly explained at best) delays, they don't impact the ratings of the show... same name, different company, but the damage may be done. i love the show and won't stop watching, but will probably have that little bit of subconscious annoyance chewing on my brain once a week.

While that may be enough to sufice me, it still is shitty customer service.
-A Press Release.
-An article on their website.
-A Tweet.
Something that is easy to find, quick to link, can be found on Google, and easy to spread is what should be done.
Customers shouldn't have to sort through 94 pages to find anything close to an answer. Jake from Telltale in a forum in Part 2 of a Thread with 94 pages is so hidden that it's hardly an answer or explanation.
Thanks for your post linking the appropriate post, but this really is shoddy work from the TellTale Group

Well, technically it was on page 20 of a thread called "questions for walking dead team," so its a little less forgivable that you couldn't find it if you wanted to.
I mean, heck, its where everyone really should be going for information from the horse's mouth. Not checking the forums of the developer and complaining you can't find it without going to other sources is a bit like complaining you can't find ice cream without going to the grocery store and not checking the menu at dairy queen.

You have a point, Wade. Perhaps they should have put it upon the blog or something. It would have been easily accessible to the public.
I don't think anyone is not frustrated with having to wait. No one likes waiting. It is, however, a sign of maturity in how you handle having to wait. Sure, it was supposed to be every month. I get that. It wasn't. There are two ways to handle this. That is all.
1. Complain and complain and complain. This will only cause you to become more angry, because eventually people are going to get tired of you complaining and tell you so. Then, given that you are now even more angry, you are going complain some more and make statements like "I'll never buy a game from them again!" (which is their right, but would keep them from enjoying something that they let get tainted by impatience.)
2. Voice your concern and understand that game developing is just like every other type of art. You cannot rush art, even for a deadline, and as George R.R. Martin so aptly put, "It will be done when it is done."
Which seems like less frustrating and less stressful? Which seems more mature?
I just looked at some of the tags and people are getting ridiculous now. Duke nukem forever 2? Really? Its a month delay...not over 10 years.
I'll own up to that one - it's definitely meant to be tongue in cheek considering that someone compared Episode 2 to the delay for "Duke Nukem Forever" earlier.
I'm really hoping for a release tomorrow. It's Monday, they've had all weekend to get the episode polished up and ready. It's completely overdue, and I'll be pretty shocked if it's not out by Wednesday.
Which seems like less frustrating and less stressful? Which seems more mature?
I didn't think Wade was immature at all. Sure, he missed out important posts (and you've kindly showed him the right ones), but he was right in saying he shouldn't have to wade (*ahem*) through scores of fan posts to get to the announcements.
Having a representive from the company sneak in a post or two in the forum may be good for a game with a small fanbase, but not so practical when you've sold a million copies. Then again, that's just me. I'm not saying you are wrong though. Far from it. But in this case, I think Wade has a valid point.
Anywayssss.... yes. My final thoughts on this matter.
@ Brutalny and WebHead: I think TTG said you can e-mail support for a refund. It'll be a shame though.

Fair enough, but I tend to talk in generalities, not just about the point at hand...and after 94 pages, I'm covering all the bases.
Guys, discussing with fanboys it's worthless.
Yes, they posted something and they vaguely spoke about the "delay" (word not said in the post, btw) but the communication fail it's still there. In fact, they didn't update their blog to inform people. 1 whole month without making declarations it's wrong and you can't defend this. I appreciate the Jake's post because it's better this than nothing but c'mon...
At the beginning, the plans were releasing episodes monthly. Telltale changed the plans and they don't inform to their paying customers. Instead of doing that they changed the game Steam description and game's web FAQ without telling anybody. Today, they still avoiding the "delay" word. This is a WRONG WAY TO ACT. Sorry, fanboys, but your beloved company have done something wrong.
They can't do anything for fixing this. Telltale reputation in this stuff it's going down and the only way to fix it it's acting properly in the next delay they have.
Just saw this on facebook - Matthew Lowell Tried to get a refund for the season, bastards told me no. That "They are not currently giving refunds based on the delay of a game". Assholes)

i wouldn't really call that giving us any information. we knew exactly the same amount as we did at the beginning of the month.
except he said its coming out really soon.
I agree - the response was arbitrary. BUT, he said it would be released "damn soon", so let's hope it means 1 week instead of another month.
I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!
Well, if it isn't released by June, I'm sure there'll be an explanation coming our way. I'm still hopeful though.

Can't be any worse than Valve Time.
