and still no comment from them - annoying and absolute arrogance. Disgusting. Not one f***** word of excuse for this incompetence.

This is what their PR guy, Alan Johnson tweeted, sounds a bit like a certification issue to me, or at the very least a dialogue that went something like:

    - TT gives game to Sony
    - Sony NA finds it hunky dory, EU finds something wrong
    - Delay

Well maybe it's becaus the episode is very glitchy.
When it was released many couldn't even start it up. When they choosed to continue, the game would just send them back to the xmb, that's fixed now.
But the game lags a lot in cutscenes, like more than what ep 1 did.
And I think it might be glitched with a choice you might have done in the first ep, where you do side with Kenny about not killing Duck when you first meet Larry.
An american I follow on youtube choosed to side with Kenny, but the game still says he didn't.

My issue with the PS3 EU delay, is that the game was supposedly ready by June, when we got all got told that it was coming but there was an issue with the Xbox version. If TellTale believed their PS3 and PC version to be fine, why not send them to the relevent companies for certification? why just leave them on the floor so to speak?

If I'd had a game go nearly a month late because of a system being a dick, I'd be damned sure I'd want the other versions to release smoothly. So send it off, and if Sony EU have an issue, they'd have had 2-3 weeks to fix it.

Instead, everyone had to wait for Xbox... now Xbox has their version first, and in the EU PS3 owners still wait and receive even more from the wall of silence department of TellTale, which is an ironic name, since they actually Tell us f*ckall

still nothing , c'mon answer the people asking frequently why why why ..

telling the reason is better than keep things fold

This is absolutely disgusting. Anybody with a brain cell can see that the least they could do is give an ETA rather than keeping everybody in the dark. This will be my last purchase from TellTale games. I would rather burn my hard earned cash than give it to these 'people'.

    @TTG:
Are you guys really willing to lose a big bunch of your consumers instead of telling us something about why it's taking so long?
Guess what, Europe is bigger than America ;)

the ignorance leads directly to more anger. absolute bad handling from Telltale, absolutely no customer care. Unprofessional, totally.
  • I have learned just to wait and find other stuff todo like this weekend playing Eve Dust 514 as I was one of the lucky ones to get a key for the closed beta testinging on the ps3
  • What is going on? i completely understand projects not meeting deadlines, i co-own a company with my brother, i get you! but this is terrible!!! at least try and keep your customers happy by keeping them updated with what your progress is... I'm South African and I'm just one of 36 countries (correct me if I'm wrong) waiting for episode 2's release, or at least some information on the current progress of the release, I personally love the game, it has been done brilliantly! but you don't just get happy people off a good game, you gotta throw some weight! i could garentee you, you guys wouldn't have as much of a pissed of crowd of people if you just showed some curtsy. the point I'm getting to is just give us some information we can go on, i understand the delay is most probably not your fault, why would it be? YOUR LOOSING MONEY. but what is your fault is keeping quiet when you should speak up... anyway i truly hope someone high up reads this. i wish you the best of luck in calming down all your riled up customers

    100 % right.

So tired of this. At the current rate we're going to wait a good 2-4 weeks and all for a buggy episode. God knows when we'll get EP3 at this point.

I advise all of you to go out there and spread the truth about TT. Dont lie, just tell everyone what's happened here, we cant get a refund unless TT REALLY take the piss and dont release an episode for 6 months so the only way we can hurt them is through sales and press. Make them realise that if we're treated as 2nd class customers, they're not worth a penny in our wallets.

    Screw you TT.

Being realistic having now bought an episode I'm going to stick with it.

    However

As far as buying episodic or from Telltale again, forget about it. I don't know who is running the company PR but they need to consider a career change.

It's bloody annoying having to tip-toe around this forum trying to avoid spoilers (already failed on 2 counts) whilst trying to get info on the EU release, which should be posted on their site. I guess there's no room what with all the 'Episode 2 available' and IGN score/ratings splashed everywhere.
As I've said before and many have said previously, this is the last money TTG get from me.

Though... since when is the Middle East considered to be EU or Europe territory? Cyprus is part of EU and a tiny part of Turkey can be considered European, but that's about it.

Still, I hope you can play the game soon and wish the best of luck.

Sure Clint. The PSN episode is finished and ready, do you really think it's TELLTALE that still delays this on PSN EU? Of course, it's so much easier threatening the smaller company. Great stuff.

If you delay episode 3 with your incessant calls, I won't keep the pitchforked community from you! ;)

European PS3 players still don't have the game or a release date? Wow. Telltale really needs to improve their public relations sector. (Or obtain one, harhar.) >_>
  • edited July 2012
The only thing we europeans can do is not buy the game when it comes out.
It was absolutly rediclius that they told us it would come out sometime in June, I mean thats no info at all, plus they waited almost till the month ended.
Even then I can still forgive them for not telling an exact date, when I buy a game I pefer that it works like its suposed to, so if that means waiting a little longer I dont mind.
Now we europeans get screwed over AGAIN with the release date and again they dont want to take responability or even tell us when they will have it avalible for download.
That shows that they dont realy care for their costumors, I mean they sold alot of season passes so the money is flowing, why would they still try their best if they get cash anyway?
The two or 3 people that dont buy the game dont bother them anymore when the rest of the communaty keeps buying their games when they mess up.
But when we all stop buying they'll realize they messed up.
Therefor I say dont buy the game but lets all boycot it untill telltale learns that the costumour is king.
Thats how it go's in stores around here, if you get treated badly or you get info that is not correct in a store you dont visit that one anymore but you change stores.
Why would that be any difrent when it comes to developers.

Mafiaclub, in answer to the message you yourself deleted - for good reason - my message wasn't meant to put blame on anyone, it was just meant to question the reaction this particular user has shown. Frankly, I assume that it doesn't help anyone and least of all bring a faster UK/EU PSN release.

Handing out blame like pudding in a food fight just doesn't cut it.

Personally, I have no idea why PSN EU always lags behind even when TTG obviously WANTS simultaneous releases at least for the international PSN versions. This lag has been exactly like that in previous games, it seems like it can't be helped. The earlier Xbox release is obviously totally unrelated to the lag between PSN US and PSN EU - some of the previous games weren't even on Xbox (FAN PROTEST), and exactly the same lag occurred.

I haven't got the slightest clue whether PSN EU has its own approval program. I don't know if the approval Sony US has given counts for the EU version as well. I just know that the episode itself is (now!) in working order. I am not aware of any marketing decisions on Telltale's as well as Sony's side that could lead to thinking of this (hopefully short) delay as a good move.

I acknowledge that it's easy for me pointing at Sony now. And I did this. The truth is as above, it's unfair, of no use eventually and I apologize for it. But I do think the statement "Get your answers from Telltale" is considered blaming someone. And Telltale can't point back, they really can't, and that means answers won't be had.

TTG has taken a lot of heavy flak, perhaps unfairly, but they are but the latest in a series of game developers that has or is treating the EU community with utter silence when it comes release dates of certain products. It is not just that they are bad at communicating, theres is basically no communication from TTG.

Other companies are The Behemot and the Pink Knight for PSN EU, Trendy Entertainment and Dungeon Defenders and Bethesda and the Dawnguard DLC and patch 1.6. TTG is not the worst, but they are just as bad, and are now gettin hit by the cummulative anger of the PS3 EU community.

SCEE does have a certain responsibility in the delays, but when it comes to both The Behemoth and Trendy Entertainment for months they and SCEE were blaming each other, leaving us EU gamers hanging, and I'm starting to get the same vibrations about Episode 2 from TTG. I just hope that I'm wrong since I enjoyed episode 1 very much.

If the delay is caused by bugs in E.2, why not tell us so? I'd rather wait for a complete product instead of getting a broken game early, but I'd like to be told what's going on.

Let them at me. I'll be happy by that time after I've bombarded the *snip* at Telltale. It is their fault for frigging delaying the game so long and then releasing it a day or two after the PSN EU store was update. I mean the least they could do was keep in mind when each region store updates and release accordingly. They already pissed off hundreds of customers - the least they could do was this.

But no their job is to shaft us with piss poor service. HAve they even addressed anything closely related to the delayed release date or issues people are having downloading etc? All I see them do is hide behind their desks as if some zombie wants to chow on their derrier.

Episode 3 delayed you say? The way I see it:

    1. lol my cat will start talking before Telltale releases episode 3.
    2. PS4 will be out before episode 3 is out
    3. If they keep this shit service up Telltale is most likely to lose more and more customers. They will go broke and probably just release episode 3/4/5 with hand puppet characters to avoid the lawsuits from not delivering the full game.

Yeah, I kinda realised you were talking to someone on the forum... not specifically someone from the Sony board, and also of course that you're not actually from TellTale, just a mod on a community forum. It was very early, I was grouchy :P

    Hello my fellow sufferers,

since I bought the season pass only just on friday (in expectation to being able to play
episode 1 and 2 closely after another), I'm probably not yet in rage mode but still
    in the phase of disappointment.

I really don't want to defend TellTale, but lets just hope that episode 2 is coming to
us on wednesday. I obviously have no idea, but it was stated somewhere that the
eu psn is only updated on that day?
Maybe Sony eu wanted to wait until the patch was released, and was not expecting it
    to be shortly after release?

    Hey Telltale people,

I consider myself a really big fan of all your work. As an old time adventure player, I used to play the crap out of the old Lucasarts games like Sam & Max and Monkey Island. I absolutely adored them, they are a huge part of my childhood and I might even go as far as to say they shaped my sense of humor growing up. When you guys made your new Sam & Max games I was very sceptical at first, but when I played them all doubts went out the window. The same thing happened when you released Tales of Monkey Island. I fell in love with that game and it was a true and brilliant sequel to the best adventure game series ever made. I bought every single game you ever released, even the not so well received Jurassic Park, which I also liked. In short: I love your company.

So I wonder: why did you decide to tie my wrists together, pull down my pants, push my face in a huge pile of pointy legoblocks, and insert a threeheaded monkey right up my rectum?

I live in Europe and used to be a hardcore PC gamer, untill I finally caved in and bought a PS3 a few years back. I occasionally still play PC games, but I prefer the comfort of my couch, especially when playing adventure games. When I heard you guys were making a game based on my all time favorite comic "The Walking Dead" I was so excited! When season 1 got released (which I loved) I immediately bought the season pass, knowing you guys wouldn't let me down in any way possible.

And now here I am, sitting in the dark on my hospital bed, waiting for the police to show up with their rape kit. *snip* No need to worry, I don't want a refund, you guys can use my money to update your customer service and european release dates. But I'm afraid that's the last money you'll ever receive from me. Telltale games, you fight like a dairy farmer and I'm about to fight like a cow. Yarrrr!

This whole situation is a disgrace. I gave Telltale a second chance after having shelled out for that awful BTTF 'game' a year ago and I bought the season pass for the walking dead on the day of release, that same day I played and completed episode 1 and really enjoyed it, was really looking forward to episode 2 'a month later' and here I am 3 months later still waiting whilst every other platform user is enjoying it! Complete piss take. I can't even remember episode 1 properly now so even when I do play episode 2 it's not going to be as much fun as I struggle to remember key moments from the first part 3 months ago.
At the very least we deserve an apology and an update on the situation but if you don't want to lose customers you should also offer us one of your other titles as a free download in the meantime. Seriously this is just bad customer service and I'm with the other people who won't be paying for another telltale title in the future unless we receive an apology and some sort of compensation/refund for this shambles.

PSN can update whenever Sony want it to. They've done Friday updates multiple times since the VITA launched, so that games could be available on the online store the same day they hit the shops.

Well, I say multiple times... it's really just twice, because they never release anything for the VITA.

Well on the plus side, regardless of what TellTale give us, info wise, there will be a PSN Store update on the blog tomorrow or wednesday morning. It's 42 hours at the most now before we find out if we get it this week or not.

It's still a long time, but it's more realistic to look towards that than it is to wait for TellTale to bother to say anything.

The saddest, most depressing thing about this situation is that the moderators and fanboys are blaming Sony and individuals for their opinions!!!

How about you actually reply to support emails or answer questions in these forums like you tell us to do.

Below is the 'disclaimer' TTG attaches to its auto-mated emaills.......

"We try very hard to respond to email within a day or two (and often reply even sooner). Response time may be a little longer on weekends or holidays. If a few days go by and you haven't heard back from us, there's a good chance we didn't get your email, or you didn't get our response. Please check your spam folder! If email just doesn't seem to be working, post in our support forum (http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26). Mention that you've already tried to email us, and we'll look into the problem right away."

^^^ over a week since i emailed them - three times since - one forum posting - and still no response from TTG.

Your company is fast becoming a joke with gamers and developers alike, who are waiting to swoop in and get TWD for themselves once you've gone bust!

Kirkman was a fool to sell you the license.

They can release whenever they want, updated on a Friday for Vita Gravity Rush.

Agree on needing news though. Come on Telltals, just say that we hope this week or maybe next week. Something to make me willing to wait.

I think the main reason everyone's getting so angry is the fact that there is silence from the other end. Everyone loves the game, if they didn't there wouldn't be a problem with people wanting to play it so much, but come on! All it will take is a sorry and an explanation... It doesn't even have to be the truth!
