The Walking Dead Episode 2 REVIEW THREAD/ SPOILERS!!

All right, tell us what you thought of this one.

Please keep spoilers in tags until Saturday, June 30th, so that we're sure Starved for Help has released on all platforms and people wouldn't enter this thread not having played the episode.

    Hi yall

    I just finished epiosde 2 and must say that it didnt disappoint me at all.. ok some will probably say that the actual storyline didnt really progress but i found it cool nevertheless!

    The only thing i didnt really get was:
    Who was that woman filming Lee and his group at the end? Was that supposed to be clems mother?

    The crazy woman you (or the farmer) shot earlier in the episode while searching for the bandit camp.

    A very good episode. Other than some bugs, it was great, had some crazy left-turns, and more great action sequences and death scenes. It was longer than Episode 1 and will have you playing it again and again!

    there are alot of things that needs debating concerning the end i think
    Yes i know that you get to meet and kill her before.. but i just didnt get what she was up to.. did she think lee and the others were some kind of bandits and the girl was their captive or what? or was it to portray that in the eyes of others lee and his group are as evil as any other clique of survivors alive?? and where and why did she get clems hat anyways??

    It angered me when Clem got mad at me for killing Denny and then taking food from the car at the end. I mean he was eating people and was about to eat us and we would die without that food. Oh well. I reassured her about both situations, or the game told me I did at least...

    I especially found it cool how the topic of the virus being airborne came up
    what a sick fxck he was ^_^ I left the other dude alive as walker bait tho

    So no-one else has an issue with them introducing a random character just for him to get killed off?

    Yeah. It took the show, which I actually think is very good, 2 seasons but it took the game 2 episodes.

    It was a bit random wasn't it? I don't believe they explained why a teacher with 2 students were roaming around in the woods.

    I was a little irritated by that too.. i mean..
    they were talkin about some airforce base he was at before.. but they never talked about how he actually became part of the group.. kinda weird..

    hmm the students and the teacher fled from the gym where they were hiding in, when sum girl popped too many pills, turned at killed half the survivors

    They explained that.
    The two students were on a team and the teacher was their coach. They were heading out to a sports meet when the zombie outbreak happened. The three of them were a group trying to survive for the three months of the zombie outbreak after then. They were out in the woods for the same reason and Lee and his group: to find food.

    They explained that too.
    He wanted to be a part of a group for a better chance of survival. He had food, so they let him become a part of the group.

    yes, although i think this thread has kinda lost its way already, jennifer is right, it is explained in game, though besides the bear trap and the gaining of the additional one member of the group who you dont really see for most of the episode, i found this part a filler, just padding out a weak episode.

    Did you notice how
    nobody cares about the deaths of denny or this crazy woman in the camp.. i mean hello? they become walkers, dont they? yet in that prison they are so eager to kill larry even tho it aint even clear if he's dead already lol.. just my 2 cents.. found that kinda funny

    I loved the Ep. ,
    Although I knew what was gonna happen while talking to the mother and Danny before Dinner

    Just gotta ask if anyone took the opposite choice;
    What happens if you choose not to let Kenny bash Larry's head in?

    Who the hell was that crazy stalker woman that you or Dewy kill? And why was she so obsessed with Clementine? She was DEFINITELY not her mother (I could tell by the voice), so WTF?:confused:

    EXACTLY. Remember the phone messages in her house? That stalker lady had a Southern accent and Clem's mom didn't! So what did this random woman want Clem for??

    It could be possible for Clem's mother to be white. And that woman did say that Lee took Clem from her.

    Clem's mom was in Savana when she left the last message (or at least somewhere near there, anyway), and that was pretty far from where Lee and company are holed up. But STILL, this doesn't answer my question: why Clem specifically. She never indicated she was her mom or anything, so again WTF?

    i think the part where she was saying all men are evil is a factor, and there was a childs sleeping bag and a soft toy covered in blood could indicate she had just lost her own child and gone a tiny bit mental. also, as subtle as i can finally manage, is there any other reason that you can put your finger on why the WHITE woman in the woods is not clems real mother?

    Holy fuck that episode was amazing. I sort of guessed that
    The St. John family were cannibals when they kept on going on about dinner and then it started to get more obvious when the brother talked to his gun. And obviously the room in the back
    . Had some really cool parts like
    having to decide whether to 'kill' Larry or not, I did let Kenny kill him although I felt bad for Lilly
    . Was good to see more of Katjaa and Lilly although I felt kind of cheated that
    half the episode Carley was missing
    . What sort of decisions did you guys make? I
    Let the St. John brother kill the woman, let Kenny kill Larry, didn't kill either of the St. John brothers and took the food/supplies. Can't remember the other decisions
    . Can't wait for Episode 3 though, although the delay was disappointing for this game I am pretty happy with the end result and especially the length for just one episode.

    Edit: Also I loved the battery reference at the end with Carley.

    Oh and only got two negatives for this episode. First is that it was laggy as hell, and also I thought that although my brightness was up to the max, it was still hard to see things at times. I liked how some parts of the game were quite creepy/morbid at times as well.

    Edit: Yeah I don't get what was up with that woman. At first when I was watching that recording I thought she was Clementine's mum but it doesn't seem like it after watching all of it. I got very confused about that whole recording though.

    didn't take the food/supplies.

    My only problem is the glitches. audio lag and very inconsistant framerate due to it having to load each dialogue piece separately - causing horrific amounts of lag. good game but those problems really need to be addressed

    Has anyone else glitched so it says on when I look through my achievements I have 8/16, but when I click on The Walking Dead all of them are unlocked?
