I will give no spoilers in this review and it will be brief.
The game is far glitchier than part 1 and it does distract you from the story at times but it is not a deal breaker. What ultimately is a deal breaker for me is you quickly come to the realization that no matter the choice you make nothing changes. You will stay on the same linear story arch regardless of what you do which makes this game, frankly not what it claims to be. If I am wrong someone please tell me a decision I can make that changes anything in the game.
I appreciate the ambition of the game but honestly the developers need to make a branching story where elements of the story can change. If I am asked to go to point A by a character and I say I do not want to go to point A then I should not end up at point A. As a programmer I know this sort of branching logic is not only possible it is fairly simple.
It clearly says REVIEW so unless you have played the game stick with the PREVIEW! Is that not glaringly obvious?! It is like going to E3 and being mad that you saw the videos for the game there..
Anyways, for my first post. How in the world did only 10% of us kill the two brothers. I cant really fathom how NOT KILLING them could be an option..
I mean what did all you guys do just be like, "I guess i will just crouch in this corner till they decide to eat me." (shakes head) - must have been all you spoiler people

SPOILERS: I killed the first brother, heard clementine gasp and read "clementine witnessed you murder", screamed "FUCK!" and then replayed the episode from the meat locker room. Made the second brother encounter MUCH more dramatic, think I might of liked better than if I killed him.
It angered me when Clem got mad at me for killing Denny and then taking food from the car at the end. I mean he was eating people and was about to eat us and we would die without that food. Oh well. I reassured her about both situations, or the game told me I did at least...
haha so much for not adding spoilers til june 30th...glad i played it before seeing what everyone else was up to! great episode though, it really was gripping. Hoping the next episode will shed light onto the mysterious woman.

i'd say most of us figured that the walkers would get to the brother in the bear trap...where was he going? and as far as the second brother, it was pretty obvious at that point he, too, was a gonner.
Just finished episode 2. I thought it was great straight from the opening scene in the woods. i couldn't put it down. I feel like Mark was a really good character and even though some people thought it was weird to have a random guy added to the group i felt like you got to know him enough to care about him and what eventually happens with him bummed me out like any other character from the walking dead. a lot of great moments happened that felt like characters from the books. the feel of the interactions remind me of that a lot. too bad that this is only going to be 5 episodes long. i'd really like an ongoing companion with the books. this is what the books are like and what the show wishes it could be! thanks! can't wait till the next installment!

By brothers I mean brothers trying to eat you for dinner. Not the high school kids in the woods.
Thought Episode 2 was more gripping then Episode 1 and was impressed. That being said, I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem--On my playthrough I got the notification at the bottom of the screen saying I recieved achievments for each level passed. But when all was said and done I went to my achievment progress page and it only said I recieved achievments for last 3 chapters?! Am I the only one? Not the end of the world, I just have never had this happen b4.
Anyone else find this far too reminiscent of 'The Hunters' plot in the comics? I was hoping the twist was the dairy farm is all normal and your snooping got you all tossed out of Eden. Also much respect to the guy wearing the red shirt, I even gave him jerky and he came for dinner near the end. I didnt kill the brothers but left them for the zombies. Clem knows Lee is a killer and I think this way he can redeem himself. Lots more glitches this time around, but it happens. Overall I give this an easy 8. Oh and I believe the crazy woman was a poor mom who was terrorized by the raiders (I only got the name Jake). She probably got the hat while the group was going to and from the farm.

SPOILERS: Wasn't really reminiscent of 'The Hunters' storyline at all, apart from the fact they were also cannibals.

SPOILERS: Aye this is basically what I said on the last page.
I understand that it might be difficult to have too many choices that branch off in different directions, what with all the variables involved (people you've kept alive previously etc) But there should be at least one major storyline decision in each episode, that drastically effects the story.
For instance in Episode One, it could've been deciding to stay at Hershel's farm (if you tried to help Shawn) or deciding to go with Kenny. That would've drastically altered the storyline. Then in Episode Two, you could've had the choice about whether you went to the Dairy Farm, or not. Or possibly had the choice to leave the Dairy Farm once you were there, or stick it out and see for yourself what they were upto.
I'm fine with most of the decisons just effecting how other characters see you, but one or two major story-changing decisions per episode would also be nice.
If you havn't played this game then stick with the previews.
Come chime in and let us know your REVIEW when you have a reason to be here other than to try not to spoil yourself by reading this thread which makes absolutely no sense at all.
You read the spoilers anyways, so just admit that and shut up.
You clicked it knowing that this is a discussion about a game you have not played and you choose to keep reading.
It bothers me that 85% of you would sit there and let the cannibals live. Oh, but we care about what Clem thinks. I care about her not being eaten, this is a LEETATORSHIP!
***SPOILERS*** Actually, I killed Danny and when I beat the crap out of Andy Doug stops me and you see how f*cked up you left Andy's face and you tell him its over but he says "wait till Dan and Ma come out." When I told them they're both dead he just gives up and is begging you to finish him. At that point I felt bad for him and decided to just walk away. ***END SPOILERS*** THAT is why I couldn't kill both brothers! at that point it was unnecessary (PS im on my phone so this post isnt as tidy as it could be)
If people who didnt want to get spoiled knew how to not click on threads with "Episode 2" in the title, we also wouldnt have this problem.
Or "spoilers!". I do my best to add those to thread titles and cut spoilery things out of titles as well.
That said, the problem might be that some newer forumites just don't know what spoiler tags are. It is advanced forum knowledge somehow... I think I'll just add "Spoilers!" to THIS thread title and be done with it...

Oh, I try my best to use spoiler tags on this and other forums.
I just think it's a bit silly to complain about spoilers in a thread about an episode that someone hasnt played yet.

Ah, that is a general review paradox. No, a review doesn't necessarily contain crucial plot elements and in the world of reviews, a review that contains spoilers is considered bad form.
But yes, even good journalists do not always manage to keep them out of their texts.
Interestingly enough, this clique that part 2, can never live up to part one, was strongly swept under the rug today. Other than some minor bugs, I can't complain much, and it was much worth the 5 dollars. It features better quality, mechanics, advantage of game engine, and a nice change of scenery from the typical lost city. I do have a few problems dusted about, however.
1. Overall lag- lack of depth, warping through objects, frame rate, etc. Small things that can be fixed easily and aren't game breaking by any means, but leave the game lacking polish, and looks sloppily put together.
2. Decisions fail, or alter during the transition from episode 1 to 2. Despite me sticking up for Kenny at the Pharmacy and helping him save his rodently annoying son, he still spits in my face, claiming I allegedly went against him, when he thanked me in the preview after episode 1, and in the pharmacy, and no matter what you tell the St. John brothers, they still notice your suspicion.
But in the vid I saw, she refused it. *scratches head* I'm going to have to try it out myself.
The being said, she doesn't seem to be too cocerned about the food, at least not with you. Kenny's... emotional, so I'd would give him some food.
I found out it depends on who you give what. I gave Duck & Clem the crackers, Carley the apple & Kenny the jerky.
When my sister played she gave Clem the apple, Duck the jerky, Kenny the crackers after Carley refused them & gave the other crackers to Ben a.k.a. the new kid.
EDIT: You have to give Carley the apple & Doug the jerky to get them to eat.
The only complaint I have for this episode was the lag. Other than that it was pretty awesome & worth the wait. I loved that it was oober morbid & lots more gore. Keep 'em coming, TellTale. :P
Overall, definitely worth 5 bucks. Had some jumpy/laggy issues but it was still an overall good adventure. I'm already looking forward to having the whole thing and playing out a whole adventure in a day or so. About to start on round three!
First one stats are odd as I was just having fun but on my second play through I was VERY Larry/Daughter centric.....

Next time will be me. I'm Lee. I'm the man!
I have three games as well.
1st is the Leetatorship. (myself)
2nd i am am on kennys side.
3rd i am with lilly.
I found it disturbing that only 12% of us killed both of the cannibal brothers.
I don't think I could play it and let them live..
Jesus..Larry has a fucking temper!! Why can't you afford a guy with a temper? He might come in handy if you ask me..A physical fight between a zombie and Larry then guess who would win, Larry BISHES..

Some jerk my forget that spoiler tags exist

The main-characters are very likeable, aspecially Clementine. I just want to protect her with my life
