For today, we're at 9 bots 36 threads. And the day is not yet over.

I got a question for the mods. What's worst? Spambots or TWD complainers? Also 1 more thing i am very annoyed about TWD people on the fourms is that they almost spoiled major things in TWD Ep 3 and they did spoil 1 major thing for me
    Carley dying
But something i find very funny is that they expect Telltale to make up some reason for
Carley to just return to the group

Now the spam threads are just getting plain weird.

Sports and Hiphop. They REALLY need to work on their demographic targeting.

I got a suggestion. Give us the option when you are making a poll for a thread and it says do you want to let people pick multiple answers? Well i want to suggest a way to let you put a limit on how many multiple answers people can pick.

Add kotaku to the wordfilters so no one can link to this aweful site any more.
  • edited October 2012
Yeah, you don't like Kotaku. We get it.

Well oddly enough, I do. Accept it and move on. Please?

Yeah. The only word we really need to filter here is "reddit".

    And "pigeons".
  • edited October 2012
I'm for filtering reddit and Kotaku.

I also proposed to censor the word "fanboy" recently. Whenever someone writes it, all hell breaks loose.

All right, deal. It's "k****u", "r****t" and "f****y" in the near future. In the meantime, spell it like that yourselves please.
  • edited October 2012
OK, seriously - what do you guys have against Kotaku?
  • edited October 2012
You seem to be a kotaku fanboy.
Edit: also note: I am of course joking in case of Kotaku. Don't censor it. I'll try to ignore it when DM brings it up constantly in the future. Censoring it might bring more hate than leaving it.

Don't worry Darth, I like Kotaku too.

Saw a new post from a spambot and went to report it.
    A. There's no place to report it(To any mods reading this, it is at the BTTF forum).
    B. Then I noticed this.

    attachment.php?attachmentid=3386&stc=1&d=1350591947

    THEY LEARNED TO EDIT POSTS!

They learned more than that. They learned that a new member posting an abundance of links in his first post gets caught by the forum's spam prevention automatism. So they post without links initially and then EDIT THE LINKS IN THE FUCKING CRAZY BASTARDS.

What if they learn how to seduce me!

    They already have.

I think we should close the last item you purchased if the spam bots read it they will know what to sell us.

So how the hell do we report these things? There's no option to do so on the post itself. Or is that just me?

EDIT: It's just me. All I get's the marker saying if someone's online or not. Huh.
  • edited October 2012
    It's not just you.
  • edited October 2012
Oh thank god. I thought I'd done something wrong for a minute there.

Genuine suggestion - let us report spam again!
  • edited October 2012
We want the report button back as much as you do. We don't know why it's gone, and we haven't really gotten any answers. Our best guess is that they got too many complaints from people with "staff" accounts, like Steve Purcell and Jared Emerson-Johnson, who don't work at Telltale and were seeing their e-mail accounts fill up with forum reports.

You don't know? WE'VE BEEN HAXXORED!
  • edited October 2012
When I said "we don't know", I meant "we" as in the mods. I'm sure that someone on the Telltale staff knows.
  • edited October 2012
Yes. Telltale knows all. Grossman be praised.

For the time being, feel free to PM one of the mods to report the sneakier flavours of spam (or any other issues). We generally pick up on the big obvious spam threads ok.
  • edited October 2012
Oh, don't give us permission to buzz you. We'll abuse it to no end. :p

Hey question to the mods but who are the people who always report spam? I know Me & Coolsome do but who else always does?

...How did you get this information?
  • edited October 2012
You've admitted it in the past. Loose lips sinks ships.

I usually report one of the spam messages, saying that there's more in the same section by the same spambot.

That proves nothing! I could have used a gun-sword to kill them.
