    No-one ever does. :)

Was there any reason it most definitely did not disappear for a few days?

With the flood of e-mails I used to get, I never thought I'd miss the report post button. Welcome back, little button.

Our best guess is that they got too many complaints from people with "staff" accounts, like Steve Purcell and Jared Emerson-Johnson, who don't work at Telltale and were seeing their e-mail accounts fill up with forum reports.

We were pretty much right about this. The thing is, they were trying to fix it for them while not taking it away from us. When they realized that it caused us to lose post reporting entirely, they brought it back.

PROTIP: Outlaw people who post simply to type the word "This."

I don't know why I hate it so much, but I do. I can't be the only one. Right?

    Right, sorry.

A captura section for anyone creating a new account? That usually works pretty well against bots.

    Hi there Telltale,

I would like to make a few suggestions regarding making it harder for bots to register on your site/forums:

    Chyron8472 wrote: »
    How about something like this?

    http://portal.areyouahuman.com/installation/vbulletin

    bED5Q.png

There is also Question & Answer Verification (https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/humanverify_questionverify)

or how about using the http://www.stopforumspam.com/ bot database?

    or even Captcha2 http://captcha2.com/

We've pretty much been told that any additions to the site, such as a CAPCHA, won't be happening until the new site rolls out. And still, the only word we have on that is "soon", though I was told "soon" at PAX, so I'm not really sure what "soon" means anymore.

It means that they're waiting until Dr. Soong is born. Which should happen in about four centuries or so. They just made a typo. And "Soong" and "soon" sound really similar, so you can be forgiven for the mix-up.

What about the Earl Boen TOMI: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal download?

...they'll probably get around to that first.

If you start picking Captcha variations, ask Divisionten what she thinks about any choice that you make. Some of them aren't so great for the vision-challenged among us.

Could be sooner (Soonger...) if they meant Arik Soong, in which case it would be in about 100 years.

    Captcha-smaptcha.

I want an adventure minigame upon registration!! If THAT doesn't keep the damn bots out, I don't know what could.

If you can't do an adventure game, you don't belong here anyway.

    Or the Walking Dead?
Also: What if spambots love adventure games and attack the forum even more because they love the CAPTCHA so much.

Let's get Magus to do it! He'd be up for that, right? He could do it on his lunch break or something.

No, all four prove that Kotaku will literally post anything as news for the easiest, cheapest hits they can get. Oh, hey, boobs! And a two second clip of Reggie Fils-Aime. What journalism. Pulitzer-deserved.

    My ass. Screw Kotaku.
