It's a pity that Survival Instincts isn't as good as I thought it would be, but perhaps it's because I set my standards a little too high after playing Telltale's game.
The idea of scavenging and sending survivors out for scouts in the game sounded interesting, as well as choosing your destinations carefully. Shame that the ideas weren't as developed as it could have been.
Had they given the game more development time before release, I think the game could have done better, but I guess we'll never know.
Very good ideas, and it's very fun to stealth kill the zombies but...
Oh, this game's bad all right (check out http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/the-walking-dead-survival-instinct for confirmation). I would know because I preordered it and played it all the way through, which I had to force myself to do since it was boring, and its development obviously wasn't completed. I wrote a 2-star review about it on Amazon in which I said that those who rushed out the game should be apologizing to both us who bought the game as well as to the developers who weren't allowed to finish the game. I ended up trading in my copy and lost some money in doing so. Buying the game has made me feel like I was punched in the face and mugged by a corporation who doesn't appear to care about us or whether their games are any good; all that seems to matter is our money, and I hope no matter how much success Telltale gains that they'll always remain real (and continue to create excellent games, such as The Walking Dead).

Ofc this game is not soo good has other FPS games out there.. I think the 3/10 is being sad to this . I mean , it has is good points. Voice acting , the feeling you are in TWD , you play with Daryl.. its not like BF3 but its not THAT BAD!
To quote Angry Joe: "This is a below average, repetitive Survival Horror First Person Shooter to anyone who hasn't already lowered their expectations to dangerously low levels".
Hopefully Terminal Reality learns from this mess and stays far away from Activision in the future.
I know; I feel so bad for Terminal Reality, and to be honest, I almost didn't write a review on Amazon because I didn't wish to write negative things about their game, but we need to to tell the truth and put our foot down for rushed games; it is NOT acceptable to rush products out because people want to loot our wallets, so I ended up writing the review, which may seem it's aimed at Terminal Reality, but it's actually about Activision not giving Terminal Reality enough time. I really do think every copy of the game should be recalled and then the developers should be allowed to finish the game and make a great game at that. I bet it would've been good.
Well, the game being available three months or so afterwards it was a sign that the game was going to be released rushed, we already knew this but not that the game was so terrible.

Yeah, I read somewhere else that development time was like a year.... I mean... what the hell was Activision thinking?
thats what i think about epic games and gears of war judgment...
Only played Gears of War Judgement Multiplayer Demo but assuming that's the final version the graphics don't really look very good, but still much better than TWD:SI.
the demo has it faults but the actual game seems like an over priced expansion pack to me check out my post in general chat about gears of war judgement..
Maybe in a couple of months or by 2014 the game will be available at an extremely low price, remember Mindjack? The price dropped down like a hammer.
I wouldn't spend $2.50 on this game, I probably wouldn't even waste the bandwidth on it were it offered for free. There are so many great games out there to try; I am not going to spend one penny on a universally hated cash-grab.
lol you can beat the WD SI in about 3 hours if you really want to do it while 2 episodes of Telltale walking dead cost $10 and have about the same lenght as a WD SI that cost $50
Even though the game is total garbage, if you like the voice actors (Dixon brothers) you'd at least pay a small amount to show some support to them.
It really is a shame my expectations were high and so seeing the end result is very disappointing.
Show some support to Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker, guys. They're the best part of the game pretty much.
Sorry I don't believe in supporting an obvious cash grab and allowing the publisher to think they can do this multiple times each worse than the last just because 2 guys didn't suck with voices.
How about we compromise and ask them on Twitter or whatever to pick a charity, then we give our money to the charity instead of spending it on the game. That way, everybody wins!

I'm a fan of Dragon Ball and Sonic games, and I complain when they're garbage.
Do not fall into buying it for an absurd amount of money ($5-$60), it's not worth it. $5 anyone can afford but this game doesn't even deserve to be bought for $5, $3 or less.

That's actually a little single minded. I gave the game a go at a friends place, and yeah, it's not great... it does have its moments though.
There are some nice ideas, none of them are new and the execution isn't exactly good either, but not nearly as terrible as you would like to make it sound for the last couple of pages.
I played it on PC and I have to admit, the (quick) inventory is really messed up and pretty hard to get used to, but if you play the game as intended - stay quite, move slowly and try to avoid combat... yeah, there is something there, sometimes.
I'd rate it 5.5/10. A mediocre game with no real highlights, but playable with some fun moments. It's definitely not worth 50 bucks, but would be a nice steam sale item to look out for in the future.

The only thing that was actually good about this game was kickin' ass Daryl style with the crossbow, but they were to lazy to even make reloading anims for that signature weapon (!), so you just take it down (out of the screen) and raise it again... I wouldn't say it's a 3/10 though, for people who don't know the show it probably is a 4/10, for those who do it's somewhat around 5/10... probably

It's been said so many times now.
So return it and ask for your money back
You can't return opened games---that's the policy---so I'm trading it in and am losing money because of it.
Sell it on the marketplace for a slightly cheaper price than a new copy and someone will buy it off you.
Need I remind you of this quote: Rocco "Someone else will buy this piece of shit"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k14kMc7o2Y (3m17s)
And yep, this quote applies to pretty much everything because there's always someone who will purchase it regardless of how bad it is.
I think that sums up the experience quite nicely.
Hopefully Terminal Reality learns from this mess and stays far away from Activision in the future.
Terminal Reality should look out for another publisher that doesn't rush games to be ready at a certain date.
UbiSoft, Microsoft, Take-Two, Rockstar, EA or even Sega. All of these do tend to rush developers, but nowhere near bad as Activision does.
That is if their contract with Activision is ending, because they probably can't just end it 'cos they want to.

Well, not to sound heartless....
But it's your own damned fault.
When in doubt, rent first.
Nah, I just think you sound tad rude. LOL.

And with that, let's get back to talking about how much of a letdown this game was. *shakes fist*
funny was just about to post 'sorry going off topic' lol
i may rent twd si or pick it up from the nasty bargain bin or get someone to buy it for me lol then i can really go to town on it..

Easy mistake to make, I know.
Sjees, a guy gets the flu for a couple of days...
I'm getting old... and slow. I'll delete the post. Let Phil get all the shine.

However, if I could give more to the actors instead or if they suggested a charity like a user said, I'd do it.
