Every game of activision Sucked i know it played a lot of game's from them Only game that they made good was COD BO but that's because of the zombies in it.
this game might be alright to be honest. the makers said its gonna be like metro 2033 which the older one was a pretty cool game ( sneaking around bandits and taking out light sources was a big key ). But telltales Walking Dead game is pretty damn good too. soo we'll just have to see
I don't like first person shooters. I played this game because of the moral choices in the game and interaction without the emotionally compelling it just because another shooting games, shooting tons of zombies.

Terminal Reality's game is not going to be just a shoot-fest. You'll have to manage resources such as food, supplies and ammunition, and there are stealth portions as well.
There's been little said about human interaction, but it's possible that they'll get it right. Terminal Reality made Ghostbusters: The Video Game, which did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of the films, so I am cautiously optimistic that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct might turn out to be faithful to the material too.
>Activision
>Based on the TV show rather than the comic
>FPS
I'm trying to keep an open mind here; we haven't seen any actual gameplay yet and apparently TR's Ghostbusters game was good (I never played it). On the other hand, they made Kinect Star Wars. I'm keeping my expectations low for this one.
And you don't think that a silenced gunshot would attract zombies in the same universe where even a sneeze draws their attention?
Nope, because the TWD TV series has already used em. After years of programming by Hollywood, why bother changing it now? the TWD universe, be it comics, books, this game, or the show has not exactly been accurate with many, many things.
Actually, having a few run-ins with zombies is fine, but to have that in the style of Left 4 Dead, then no way. I would like to see a more open sandbox type of game during the apocalypse like Fallout 3 and onwards - I mean TWD as we have played it is cool and everything, but it is too confined.
Activision is full of crap. COD is shit and now it seems like they are trying to make a walking dead game better than telltale's! Well fuck Activision, they really piss me off.
I do have to admit, it pissed me off when I got Season 2 of the show on dvd a little while back and in the box there were ads for the comics, toys, merchandise, facebook game and Activision's upcoming game, but not a single mention of Telltale's.
Well I might give it a try, but its by Activision and everything they touch turns to poison, i'm much more excited for State of Decay though, i've always wanted a zombie game where you had to gather survivors, build a home base, protect it from zombie attacks, get food water, and ammunition for your base, all set in an open world, it already sounds a million times better than Activision's zombie shooter.

Yeah.. Who are they to try to make a better game than someone else. SCREW THEM!!!! (obviously not serious)
This. Also they're trying NOT to make this a shoot em up. People hear fps and they just think "GUNZ!!!" the game actually uses stealth, scent , running out of situations or hiding. Yeah guns will be in the game but if you just run and shoot everything in your path you will find yourself fighting more walkers then before and of course with less ammo.
Sounds like a bad attempt at an early Resident Evil to me.
Looking over Terminal Reality's list of games that they have developed. I now know two things:
1. I have never wanted to play any of their games.
2. They make a living creating crap games based off of other media. (Ghostbusters, Aeon Flux, Bloodrayne, Blair Witch, Terminal Velocity).
Folks, this is not a company that makes quality games. This is a "We'll buy the right to X movie title and slap it on some crap thing we make and we're guaranteed at least X amount in sales from the kids who get suckered!" kind of company.

The Activision game is based off the tv version, I'm sure AMC has a deal with them. It makes since that they would advertise their game and not a game from another company.
This is a Walking Dead game set in the TV UNIVERSE which I find interesting other all, cause we can find more out about the TV-exclusive characters.
Plus its The Walking Dead ... you do realize the elements will still put into play, you cant run around shooting everything like COD ..cause then a horde will come for you. Just give it a chance gaiz.

Because the toys, merchandise, facebook game and activision's game all had to do with the TV show,
The comics had to do with what inspired it, so there advertising everything to do with them etc.
Besides I think when season 2 finished the game only JUST started so therefore its not there fault.

but the activision game isn't even released at all yet. you may be right about the rest but not why it was left out...it was ignored as it wasn't with amc

Which is exactly my point. It was left out because it had nothing to do with the TV show, everything else did in someway or the other.
The comic can be explained as simply having being a inspiration.

but afterwards you said it could be because at end of season 2 it had barely come out. but yet they have an ad for a game that comes out about 7 months after season 2 was over. do you see what I'm saying? its left out for brand name reasons not time/release schedules/anything else.
was just trying to make it clear that it was intentionally left out! Not saying they should have had an ad for it (they so should have tho) but they wanted to promote their game (which is ok and fine) but couldn't they advertise for both?? Most twd fans would love this game I believe. and its not like gamers only buy 1 game per year lol:p

I was trying to think of other reasons why they could of left it out, note how i say "It simply could be-" Anyway XD I agree with ya

I'm sure activison looks at telltale's the walking dead as competition.

Actually, their Ghostbusters game was generally well-reviewed. Their other games, not so much. They're certainly capable of making this into a good game, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Your last paragraph could probably apply to Telltale as well. You don't have to go very far to read about dumb kids buying TWD expecting a shooter and getting a point-and-click. Telltale's also released their share of duds (Jurassic Park, anyone?)
The Activision game has the potential to be better than TTs game.Don't shoot me,but it does.
Activison have a lot of money,so they can pump some of it in to make a fantastic game.
People shouldn't hate because its FP.Remember how pissed you guys get when ignorant asses try to diss TT's Walking Dead because it's a point and click basically? That's basically what you guys are doing.Just because a game is in first person DOES NOT make it a shooter.Portal,Deus Ex and Skyrim are all FP but they are not shooters.
The survival genre is not a well explored genre, and I have never played one before, and this looks like it will be very entertaining,as it will stick to TWD principles. You can choose to kill everything if you want,or you can go without killing anything.
SO,the developers don't have the best track record, but neither did TT before all of this.Dont judge
You beat my thread by half a minute LOL merging mine with yours...
Seems like it will be a first person game and based off the TV show more than the comic.. for ME the more the better.. and it will provide an alternate vision of the franchise I will be keeping an eye on this one.

You're gonna have to be more specific. This is rural Georgia we're talking about.
Have you ever heard a silenced gunshot? They're nothing like Hollywood.

Heard and fired. Yes. Silenced and Suppressed. Yes. Dry and Wet. Yes.

Well... No shit it won't be based on the comics since Daryll and his brother isn't even in the comics..
Yeah... it'll be a shooter, axe or no axe. They're calling it a "survival FPS".
