I'm playing the Portal: The Flash Version map pack for Portal 1, and holy shit is it hard. And the difficulty isn't necessarily in figuring out the solutions, but is more often found in the execution part.
Got the Sims 3 Town Life stuff pack, so I'll be "play testing" that. Stuff packs don't normally have bugs, but you never know when EA puts all their testing money into their console games and nothing into their PC cash grabbers.:p

Hated that thing. I don't have ninja-like reflexes so it was a pain in the ass.
Simon the Sorcerer. Still at that phase where you're exploring all possible areas before really getting down to the nitty gritty of solving puzzles.
Question - is talking to the Wise Owl "cheating"? He gives you "hints", many of them seem pretty explicit if you understand what he's saying. However, it's not like you're pushing a "hint" button or anything like that, and there's no hint slider.
No more so than clicking the hints button in any game that does have one. It's still better than using an FAQ, so I think you're OK.
Currently playing through a bunch of mods for Jedi Outcast. Pro tip: Do not play The Dark Alliance if starting to get a little tired of lightsaber fighting. Guh.

Right but I would consider clicking an explicit hints button "cheating" in the sense that I wouldn't be fully satisfied with my accomplishment in finishing that game.

One of the levels is really confusing but the rest is great fun. It really helps if you have played the mod. That confusing level is in there and knowing the layout really helps.
And if you think this was hard don't bother even installing Portal Prelude.
Yesterday I completed The Longest Journey for the first time. I loved it! A bit slow to begin, but it really picks up and hooks you in. Took me approximately 30 hours spanning 23 days.
Today I completed Lume. Most people say that this game will take half an hour on the first playthrough. Well, I got so darn stuck that it took me an hour and a half. And of all things I had to go to a walkthrough! Even with the answer I don't fully understand, but then since it took me three times as long as most other people to complete I'll put that down to me being not too bright.
Tomorrow I'm going back to shooting things as I will be replaying Unreal.
Oh, and I've started the second Kyle Hyde game, Last Window: Secret of Cape West, on the DSi.
I ended up not playing Frozen Synapse at all today. I didn't really get to spend a whole lot of time at the computer. I'll probably play tomorrow at some point, after we finish putting in a new kitchen sink.
Since I got my joystick in the post today, I'd thought I would give it a shot.
Probably should have read the manual first, (since I still don't know how to actually quit the game), but even without it I eventually learned how to operate the thing.
Not a particularily realistic simulator, (well it may be but I was in free flight mode), since I landed and took off in the ocean! XD
Fun though.
Can't barrel roll a helicopter.
(Helicopters don't like being upside down!)
It was also pretty fun rising the heli to about 10000 altitude then freefalling.
(got to about 500 altitude, then managed to recover it)
I got a couple of other simulators and games like Descent to try it out with.
I am tempted to pick up IL-2 Sturmovik as I hear thats the best game out there.
Maybe Microsoft Flight Simulator as well.

Then that's what relying on the Owl is. "Cheating". I mean, it's entirely up to you, but if you have a problem using a Hint button, why would you not have a problem from an NPC that does exactly the same thing?
A Mind Forever Voyaging - Infocom text adventure. Seems like it might be a good text adventure to start off with, because it's not all that difficult as of yet and I seem to be a fair amount into it. It's not really solving puzzles as much as it is exploring.
Been playing some Titan Quest lately, and deciding on what character to play is hard as the 45 combinations of masteries leaves me with too many fun choices.
Well Im done with Resident Evil 4(I dont think I mentioned Ive been playing it)
and I wanted to replay the game with the chicago typewriter for some fun, but I had to beat project ada on the game first.
HOLY CRAP is it hard! Not the actual game, but the boss fight for it. That is incredibaly cheap that he can 2-shot you, and he has a move that happens twice rapid fire! Also, Why is it the moves I can easily dodge on my own can be dodge via QTE, but his actual hard to dodge moves arent? Along with a bullet proof shield, incredible speed and power, he is impossible for me to defeat. Oh ,and it doesnt save the game so I have to start all over on project Ada, which wasnt easy itself(but ok) since I ragequitted. No! I am done with Resident Evil 4 for now.
EDIT:I loved the main game though.
"Jets'n'Guns Gold". Been playing the original version for years now, so I thought the update would be no problem. But WTF? I'm playing on "easy", and I keep dying and dying and diying?!? This has got to be a mistake.
I'd like to point out that I had Frozen Synapse and was playing it aaaaaaaagggeesss ago.
(I'm like a hipster, maaaaannn!!!)
I can't seem to get back into it at the moment.
I need to be in the right frame of mind for Strategy games.
(Not a huge fan, I have always been a Fighting game junkie, I default to those type of games when I don't have a craving)
At the moment I have a craving for RPGs.
Maybe I should play some Might and Magic or Ultima Underworld.
Maybe adventure games. I could do with finishing Monkey Island 1,2 and 3 so I can start on Tales.
(Don't have 4)
I used to be like that, but I think I've played enough of it by now that I pretty much know what to expect and the Splicers don't really scare me anymore. I've played Bioshock twice and Bioshock 2 once.

I'm sorry. Is there a Metal Gear in that photo set?

As of now, I have created a Terraria zoo, where the NPCs are the animals:D
So much Frozen Synapse.
Holy shit this is one of the best games I've ever played.
Okay
Okay
So I'm gonna go play some more Frozen Synapse. o_o
So Dashing, do you like Frozen Synapse? Ive been getting mixed messeges from you about that game.
Awww. You were gifted it.
MESSEGE TO ALL FROZEN SYNAPSE OWNERS:I will accept your second copy! Thank you.

Not only is it the most satisfying strategy game ever, but it's PERFECT for listening to podcasts and music to.
Nope. I'm not either. I'm reading bad fanfiction instead. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I own it and I'm not playing it. Maybe I should try to get into it a 10th time.
I mostly got it for the score anyways.

Don't tell "Howling Mad" that.

I totally hear you on this one. I've been playing it as well, and I find it difficult to play it at night or when I'm alone in the house.
