nice I was thinking about getting Shinobi. Despite being a totally different game, sounds like it has that Dark Souls feel by forcing you to remember enemy patterns and punishing you for loss of concentration and rewarding patience. I love all that but I heard they are a bit stingy with lives and because of that it starts bordering on unfair. need to look into that because my 3DS seems fragile and demands care, not games like this

    Here's a good review.
I haven't got that far, but apparently the second half of the game gets worse in quality.
(But I'll have to actually get that far first! XD)

Nice review, he definitely seems hung up about the 2nd half though-cheap pit deaths and shoving 3DS up butholes doesn't appeal to me, but with a game like this as long as the controls are tight, and youre given the necessary tools to succeed then it sounds good. Cheap deaths are fine if you can learn from your mistakes and not fall into the same trap. I just hate it when you succeed, die, then can't repeat the same ninja like moves that you fluked the first time. Sounds like the controls are pretty good though and hey, its only £12 on Amazon. will be getting this, cheers

HOOKSHOT FUCK YEAH. It's still bullshit that Adult Link can't use the boomerang though. >B[ How is that a kid's weapon?

And now I need to refill Lake Hylia so I can get back to what's really important - FISHING GAME.

Mini Ninjas (fun, too much collecting stuff though)
Dead Space (completely broken thanks to the DLC that gives me a Level 6 suit at the very first shop)
...and pretty much any Steam game that gets me Holiday Achievements (The Binding of Isaac was the last one, and Steam totally gypped me on the achievement, grr)

I just finished Batman Arkham City on PS3 now I'm currently playing Skyrim on PC and on the rare occasion that the game crashes I go to play Assassin's Creed Revelations on PS3 though I'm having a hard time getting into the game even though I loved the previous ones. Oh yeah and I got the new Rayman which is just as good as the first two games in the series.

    Civilisation V

Been playing it on a fairly easy difficulty level, and I've been having a blast.

This time I played as Kamehameha! :D

I like this guy a lot. His perk is that units can embark on the ocean with no penalty.

This is just great on a island or continents based map, as it makes settling much easier, as my units can get around the map easier.
Even better is that later on, if you get into combat, it makes moving units across the ocean easier as well.

Though my strategy is definately Technology superiority.
Get lots of cities, upgrade them a lot, focusing on tech, avoid combat (till later on at least, since my superior tech gets me nukes and bombers earlier, which are so devastating! >: D)
I didn't even need to destroy those 2 nations, but I did it anyway for the hell of it.
(I even callously nuked my friendly neighbouring city state of Quebec because the Americans pushed their forces there, so that they could declare war on me.
I gave them the chance to not declare war, but they did, so I eliminated most of their army in 1 turn with the nuke! BWAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Then I just eliminated the weakest nation which was nearby America, set up camp. Then sent Bombers (Stealth Bombers quickly afterwards), there to bomb the hell out of the cities, capturing them one by one (but also sending a small backup army to the other side to divide their defence, as well as another nuke to cripple their resources and growth))

Victory was assured by about 2020 AD.

    Yeah that's basicaly this thread.

Now playing Layton, it seems to have the puzzle agent problem of me having a right solution and then counting me wrong... and then deleting my solution so I cant even check to see if I'm wrong, or what needs to be changed.

Depends on how long a go it was you had to stop playing. If it was over a month, start from scratch.

Currently (re)playing Dead Space, Deathspank: The Baconing and The Crow: City of Angels: The Game. Never heard of the last one? Give me a day or two and I'll tell you all about it.

I just continued from my save.

Also, I was going to do what I did in HR which was stealth, trying to be nonlethal when, and lethal on emergencies.

Somehow I turned into a killing machine that leaves death apon everywhere he goes accidentaly. Isnt this the game that is nearly impossible to go guns a blazing, because somehow Im accidentaly stumbling apon this option;)

No. This is the game you can play any way you like.

I played through the whole thing without killing anyone / disabling any bots and cameras last year.

Yeah but everything I read about this game, I always read, "people can never go guns ablaze, you wont find the ammo, your health won't be good, you'll get punished". I need to find those sources again and laugh.

Also, someone who is on my side purposly held back ammo because of this route(which again, is accidental, I am doing my best to be stealthy. I'm just bad, need to find stealth themed augs). Isn't that a bad idea to hold back your own allies supplies on an important mission. When he winds up dead and is found with no ammo, you can only have yourself to blame.

    Agreed.

I recall thoroughly disliking bullet-hell shooters when I was growing up. Probably because I only played them in an arcade where, as a result of being insanely difficult, they would suck quarters from my pocket like nobody's business.

    Jamestown is fun. Really fun.

They are wrong. Ammo is not too plentiful but if you focus on more than one gun / ammo type you can kill everything in this game quite easily.

Finished The Crow: City of Angels last night. jpshakehead.gif
Just gotta finish putting a few bits together and then I'll show you why it's so bad.

Once I'm done with that, I'll be playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on the PS3, which my rental company sent me before The Force Unleashed I, despite that being higher up on my list of priorities. Sometimes there's the subject of availability and then there's just being stupid. Good thing I don't really care about the plot, isn't it.

I wouldn't say currently playing, but the last game I played was Terraria. I'd never played it before, though I have seen videos of people playing Minecraft, of which Terraria seems to just be a 2D version.
