I know from a reliable source at work that it's mostly about sewing purses and portemonnés, but that sometimes if you're really lucky you get to shoot stuff.

No no no that's Assassins Creed 3. Far Cry 3 is where you run around trying to find materials to make the purses, but then get mauled by tigers.
OK, if you were interesting in all that mobile phone talk, it's now been moved to the "Whatever's on Your Mind" thread, since it was radically off-topic and utterly devoid of anything related to me.
Meanwhile, in this thread, we're back to talking about Steam stuff while I get back into making maps for the Build engine.
Worms is 50% off, as is the complete collection, though only Revolution is individually reduced.
Worms Revolution is free to play till Sunday (today), and if you want to buy it, TRY IT FIRST, because I can't get it to work, and judging by the rest of the internet neither can anybody else.
And, in my opinion, much more fun than the first one. Plusses: I didn't have to make my own fun by offering severed tongues from my enormous stockpile to whores. Minuses: I didn't have the option to offer severed tongues from my enormous stockpile to whores.
Also, they streamlined the game so much that it is now impossible to prepare for every fight by drinking all the whiskey you've picked up from fallen enemies and staggering around unable to hit anything at all. Of course, the fights are more dynamic now, so staying alive is more of a concern than having fun with the drunk animations.
In short, the game is more enjoyable as a whole, but I still miss all the stupid things I did to pass the time in the original.
You can now preorder FEZ but it's 1$ = 1€ bullshit again so I will not.
And it's 6.29 Pounds which would be 7.35€ instead of 8.99. Great.
And the daily deal:
Counter Strike Condition Zero (aka the one nobody ever liked) but it also includes Counter Strike (the one from 1998 that even today quite a few people actually play)
A few other deals across the net that might interest a couple of people.
First up is the Sleeping Dog sale at GamersGate, where the entire franchise (sans the Zodiac Tournament DLC, for some reason) is 70% off. From what I can tell, the DLC that includes new missions are:
- The Year of the Snake
- Nightmare in North Point
- The Street Racer Pack
The others are just costumes or booster packs and can safely be skipped.
Also on GamersGate is the Risen collection, though only Risen 2 and its DLC (except, once again for no real reason, the Pirate's Clothes DLC) are on offer at 66% off.
Next, some Spring Sale items. These include the Spellforce series, the Sonic collection, Tropico, Overlord, Patrician IV, the Double Fine collection... not all of these activate on Steam, but it's worth a look anyway. Lot of good deals.
Finally, for today only - 50% off Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army. Because when you need to add substance to your shitty game, just add zombies like everyone sodding else.
Ehh, I can wait for Resonance to hit an Indie Bundle... mostly because I already HAVE Resonance on GOG, and I'm not sure the achievements can be shared between the two versions.
Meanwhile, GreenManGaming has a nice selection of stuff on sale, including [...] 50% off games by EAhahaha.
If getting anything from GMG, make sure you use the code GMG20-GGN5D-FC3NA for an extra bit off!
I finally bought Mass Effect 3 (Deluxe), as it was only $12 with that code.
Been putting off buying it, waiting for a Steam release, but it's not happening so this is as good a chance as any.
BTW: I've already spoiled myself on the extended ending by watching reviews of it because of the horrible things I'd heard about the original one. It would seem that perhaps the game might be worth $12 now.
Thought I do feel a bit uneasy about having just installed Origin. As soon as I beat the game, it's coming right back off again (if not before...)
Well, I went and bought it as well. Then again, once upon a time I wanted to finish the series, and being able to do so for ten bucks seems like the best deal I'll get for some time.
If I somehow like the game enough to merit getting DLC for it, I doubt I'll care much if I'm paying full price.
Though, it does occur to me that my save games for the previous games are on two different computers... both of which are currently in a vegetative state. One doesn't have a cord to the power supply... and one has a detached motherboard. And the detached motherboard one was the one that had Mass Effect 2.
Well. Might be awhile before I get around to playing this.

You could do what I do and get a device that plugs into an internal hard drive and lets you use it like an external one. Like this:
If you shop around, you can find one for $25 or so. Useful if you have several old hard drives hanging around and want a bit of extra storage space.

Well... part of the problem is that the computer is a laptop. And the rest of it is... extensive to say the least. The computer is completely nonfunctional. Actually, I think I had it backwards. The motherboard was what detached, but it did detach from the hard drive. And everything else.
- 75% off Final Fantasy XI Online: Ultimate Collection: Seeker's Edition: Title Explosion (not on Steam, but it's a fraction of the price Steam currently has it for, so...)
- 75% off Front Mission Evolved
- 85% off Red Orchestra II: Heroes of Stalingrad
- 75% off Tropico IV: Collector's Bundle (I don't think this is Steam though)
Well... part of the problem is that the computer is a laptop.
Desktop HDD's are 3.5"; Laptop HDD's are 2.5". So what you need is a 2.5" hard drive enclosure. [edit]Come to think of it, Marsden's picture there is of a laptop hard drive enclosure.[/edit]
As Marsden said, they're not expensive. I may google for one for you later.

Well, that's only part of the problem.
The main part of the problem... is that the computer doesn't work. At all. The motherboard is detached from everything and that is a three hundred dollar repair job for a five year old computer. And even then, the information on that computer may not be intact and I might just be resurrecting it for a clean wipe.
It's not about ressurecting the computer, it's about ripping the hard drive out and using a cheap adapter to hook the drive up to another, working computer as an external drive.

Well, looks like two-week bans for all who were involved. I hope you're happy with yourselves.

As you were.
Worms Revolution is free to play till Sunday (today), and if you want to buy it, TRY IT FIRST, because I can't get it to work, and judging by the rest of the internet neither can anybody else.
Well I can. Let me check if it still works.
Edit: Still works.

And... actually, that's about it, I think.
- 50% off Primal Fears

- 75% off Post Mortem and Still Life I & II
- 60% off Postal II Complete
- 75% off Resonance (for the love of god BUY THIS GAME)
- 50% off Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!!!
- 75% off Zombie Pirates
...and the token program: 40% off Construct 2's Personal and Business add-ons.
Well, if you didn't get it there, then it's only what, 3 bucks? Well worth that.

I really like playing as my original FemShep.
Yes. She was when ME1 came around. And maybe even in ME2. But since then she was in everything EVER released and is getting really annoying.

No, it's just published by the same guys. Other than that, completely unrelated.
This thing looks awesome.
Midweek Madness deals:
and
I know which one I'm getting (hint: it's the one I already have).
Also, if you were interested in the Post Mortem/Still Life series, they're available as a bundle from the IndieGala store for a fair bit less than they are on Steam. Just a heads up.
EDIT: Want some cheap Elder Scrolls games? Course you do.
