That's how I've been playing it. Honestly, I wish the PC controls were better. Keyboard and mouse controls force you to click icons that are linked to buttons on controllers, it makes absolutely no sense. Why can't Call, Fold, and Raise be tied to keyboard buttons? Hell, even three MOUSE buttons(left click, right click, middle)? Why can't the scroll wheel be used to scale bets?
Yeah but don't use it on PC. The game goes unstable. 3 days of playing with a mouse with no issues. 1 night of using the 360 controller, 2 button freezes and a complete crash.

I played the game for roughly 14 hours, using a controller almost exclusively, and I didn't have any issues.
It's not just me. What is unique, is the fact that I exclusively had these issues with the controller. I have no problem using a mouse, after all, it sure wasn't BTTF that drew me here. It's just interesting that so many people have had issues with something so simply as a controller.
These are apparently Week-Long Deals as well, so why they weren't announced in the news post with the others is one of those mysteries I suspect we'll never solve.
There's more, but they're not on Steam, so I won't post them. There is, however, an absolutely fantastic bundle deal on D&D games like Baldur's Gate - and it's completely DRM Free. Take a look.
I highly recommend this game. If you like LIMBO and Braid, you'll probably love this. I personally like it a lot better than Braid, which has sort of become the poster child for this genre.
I think I've said my piece on this game before, but I really didn't like it. Point and clicks in general don't have a good enough control scheme that you can pull off long chains of rapid action puzzles. Besides I personally play adventures to unwind and challenge my mind, and this game didn't do it for me on either account.
Cave Story is one of the best Metroidvania games in existence. The + on the end indicates a bunch of new modes like Time Trial and Boss Rush, and the option to switch from classic lo-res and modern hi-res graphics. I was utterly addicted to it until I completed it, and that like, NEVER happens. Highly recommended.
That might explain why I'm so meh about it, never played Metroid or Castlevania as a kid. And neither have my local friends, I guess those games just didn't reach my country.
Cave Story or DiRT 2... hmmrmrhrhrmr
Waaaaait a second, Cave Story+ gets you nicer graphics and extra modes, while there's a free version with the original graphics and no unnecessary things like Time-Trials?

"Cave Story is a freeware platform-adventure video game released in 2004 for the PC. [It] features 2D platform mechanics and is a homage to the classic games that the author played in his youth, such as Metroid.
"The game focuses on an amnesiac protagonist who awakens in a cave. Through his explorations, he discovers
a plot by the Doctor, a megalomaniac who intends to force the inhabitants of the cave to fight for him in his bid to conquer the world. The protagonist is thrust into the position of savior as he endeavours to defeat the Doctor.
"The player controls the on-screen character directly using the keyboard or gamepad (optional). The player progresses by jumping and navigating platform game puzzles and shooting enemies with the equipped weapon. When the player collects multiple weapons, they may be toggled at any time with the press of a button. Defeating enemies sometimes yields yellow triangular objects, which give experience points to weapons when collected. Weapons may be improved up to level three, but taking damage causes weapons to lose experience and levels. Health and missile capacity upgrades are scattered throughout the game world. The player may interact with a variety of non-player characters and objects."
Not really Steam, or even a sale, but you can now use coupon codes on Bioshock Infinite over on Green Man Gaming. So... I dunno, next sale you can get it for slightly cheaper?
Since I just want the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, this offer is pointless to me (especially since I got TR for just over a tenner last week), but hey ho.
People also shouldn't play Alan Wake, Silent Hill 2, Fez, Monkey Island 2, Grim Fandango, Ocarina of Time, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. I mean, who wants memorable gaming experiences? Not me.

That's a butt load of controllers.
Gah, shit likes this restores my faith in everything.
Back to the mouse I go.

Caves, I guess.
There's also probably a story and it looks like it involves math, judging by the title. Might have done well to avoid it in that case
They replaced math with puppies. Everyone loves puppies.

Midweek Madness deals:
They're just the same games, over and over again.

You should totally get the + version though. Forgot to mention the remixed music kicks ass.

Also, Indie Game: The Movie is half price.
GamersGate Daily Deals include:
- 75% off Darksiders II
- 75% off Sine More
- 66% off Torchlight II
This does NOT include the DLC, but DOES include The Final Hours artbook and the entire Tomb Raider collection.
Since I just want the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer, this offer is pointless to me (especially since I got TR for just over a tenner last week), but hey ho.
But I suppose I should play the Uncharted series first and wait for Tomb Raider:GOTY to come out.
Wait until the Christmas sale or even the Thanksgiving sale. It will be 75% off 30$ by then with the DLC discounted as well.
People also shouldn't play Alan Wake, Silent Hill 2, Fez, Monkey Island 2, Grim Fandango, Ocarina of Time, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Super Mario Galaxy, etc. I mean, who wants memorable gaming experiences? Not me.
Well, time to play Poker Night 2.
btw: Dashing, I'm glad you pointed out that "Enhanced Steam" browser plugin, so that I can see from the collection page which games I already own.
Edit: Apparently my laptop wasn't logged in. Not sure why I'm having trouble with it on the desktop.
