Still loving sanctum, and it got a nice pack of free DLC a few days ago. Haven't tried it yet though, really need to.

Shame the DLC isnt part of the deal. Would have picked some up then.

Another Weekend Deal! This time it's the Tropico series. Lot to list here, so bear with me.

The first three games in the series are the same price, whatever currency you use. F**king amateurs.

Tropico: Reloaded (the original game, its two add-ons and Tropico 2) - 2.37
Tropico 2: Pirate Cove - N/A (not available outside the Tropico: Reloaded and Trilogy packs)
    Tropico 3: Steam Edition - 3.39
    Tropico 3: Absolute Power DLC - 3.39
    - Tropico 3: Gold Edition (Gold Edition + Absolute Power) - 5.09
Tropico Trilogy (All the above) - 6.79

They've managed to get their act together for Tropico 4 though.

    Tropico 4: Steam Edition - £20.09 / $26.79
    Tropico 4 Strategy Guide - £8.70 / $13.39
    - Tropico 4 + Strategy Guide - £25.44 / $33.48
    Tropico 4: Junta Military DLC (Not on offer) - £3.99 / $4.99

The Daily Deal is Your Doodles Are Bugged!, one of those puzzle games where you have to actually draw on a level to do stuff. £2.38 / $3.40

Tropico 2: Pirate Cove - N/A (not available outside the Trilogy pack)

That's wrong. It is also included in Tropico Reloaded. I just got that and I have Tropico 2 now.
The Daily Deal is Your Doodles Are Bugged!, one of those puzzle games where you have to actually draw on a level to do stuff. £2.38 / $3.40

Also: kinda fair pricing for EU customers: 2.72€. Got that one too.

This weekend you can preorder L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition for 10% off, or $44.99. If you do that you'll be able to buy all Rockstar games for 75% off.

I haven't heard much about L.A. Noire but it looks kickass and is well worth looking into.
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition will unlock on November 11th.

Updated the post, thanks for letting me know. It's a little confusing, really.

Good stuff! Odd that they haven't made a bigger deal out of this.

It's worth noting that the games you can get 75% off if you get LA Noir are the GTA series (which was a Weekend Deal a week or so ago), the Max Payne games (which was a Daily Deal), Bully, Midnight Club 2 and Manhunt.

Another offer I didn't know about! Shattered Horizon is half-price at £3.49 / $4.99, or triple that for a four-pack so you have three to gift to friends. Note that you NEED Direct X 10 to play this game, so if you're running Win XP or older, you're out of luck.

Today's Daily Deal is Fortix 2, which can best be described as a Tower Fortress game, only instead of building towers, you're one of the guys trying to evade the things. £1.99 / $2.49

Aha! It is now! The complete DLC collection, called the Sanctum: Survival Kit is half price at the same price as the game itself, £3.49 / $4.99.

    Today's Daily Deal is a cracking idea! Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. £5.10 / $6.80

Today's Daily Deal is Galcon Fusion, a multiplayer arcade-strategy game... in space. £2.38 / $3.40
  • edited November 2011
it's fun for a while. Lowest price for this was 99 Cents a few months ago. And even though I only payed that I still feel ripped off.

Today's Daily Deal is AI War: Fleet Commander. £3 / $5

This week's Midweek Madness is the ARMA series. It's all 50% off. Here's the list:

    ARMA: Cold War Assault - £1.74 / $2.99
    ARMA: Combat Operations - £6.99 / $9.99
ARMA: Gold - N/A (Not available outside Anniversary Edition)
    ARMA II - £7.49 / $9.99
    ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead - £7.49 / $9.99
ARMA II: British Armed Forces DLC - £3.99 / $4.99
ARMA II: Private Military Company DLC - £2.99 / $4.99

ARMA X: Anniversary Edition (Contains Cold War Assault, Gold, ARMA II, Operation Arrowhead + both DLC packs)
    - £19.99 / $29.99

...and don't ask me what order they come in.

I'm busy tomorrow, so I'm splitting up this week's Console Craziness.

    XBox 360

The theme is 'Legendary Warriors' this week, so here's a few (and by few, I mean three) games that kind-of fit that, plus some utterly pointless avatar items.

    Deadliest Warrior - 400 points
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - 400 points
    Shinobi - 200 points

Deadliest Warrior - Samurai Helmet - 80 points
    Scott Pilgrim's Guitar - 120 points

Hey, there's another Midweek Madness! RAGE is 33% off, down to £20.09 / $40.19. ...that's not quite converted right, but I'm not complaining!

You can get the strategy guide with it for $46.88, though the guide's not on offer by itself, and it's not available in Europe, from what I can tell.

Today's Daily Deal, meanwhile, is Fantasy Wars, a 'turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world'. £2.50 / $3.75.
  • edited November 2011
Today's Daily Deal is Day of Defeat. 75p / $1.25
Also available is Day of Defeat: Source. That's £1.50 / $2.50

Also, I'm skipping the PS3s deals this week because there aren't really any. Or at least, nothing of any note.
  • edited November 2011
Some Jamestown DLC launched, and it's 33% off. More importantly, the "Deluxe Pack"(base game, DLC, and soundtrack) is only 5 cents more than the base game, so if you haven't bought it yet this is hardly the worst time.

    The Weekend Deal's up, and it's 50% off DiRT 3 and F1 2011.

    DiRT 3 - £14.99 / $24.99
    F1 2011 - £14.99 / $24.99

Alternatively, buy both and save even more! The price for the pair is £20.39 / $33.99, which is 66% off.

Also, I got the Daily Deal wrong - didn't realise DoD and DoD:S were both on offer. I've updated the post.

    Today's Daily Deal is E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy. £7.49 / $9.99
  • edited November 2011
Today's Daily Deal is the Alien Breed trilogy. Individually they're £1.74 / $2.49, or you can get all three for £4.24 / $5.74.

Also, there's a week-long sale on Final Fantasy XI - the first online one, not the recent one that was sh*t and hasn't relaunched yet. £8.99 / $9.99
  • edited November 2011
I never did get around to playing the Alien Breed game I got for free last Summer sale.

    Should really get to that.
    and Magicka
    and Breath of Death
    and Half life:Deathmatch
and... half of my steam list.
  • edited November 2011
Sounds like me, I've not played half the stuff I've got on Steam. And my shelf. And the boxes under my bed. And...

Today's Daily Deal is The Ball, a first-person physics game in which you need to move the titular object around. More interesting than it sounds, honest! It's £5.10 / $6.80
  • edited November 2011
I enjoyed The Ball a lot. Certainly worth five noop!
  • edited November 2011
The Ball is kind of fun. I bought it during that potato thing and basically only played the Portal DLC, which was pretty cool. I should play the actual game at some point.
  • edited November 2011
Today's Daily Deal is Alpha Protocol, the espionage RPG (it even says so the box). £5.10 / $6.80
  • edited November 2011
Meh. It has been lower some weeks ago in the big sega sale...
  • edited November 2011
It has been $2.50 before, but it really is an excellent and frankly underrated game.
  • edited November 2011
Yeah, I do seem to recall buying it when it was cheaper.
  • edited November 2011
Alpha Protocol is good but it has a major flaw in that it rewards you if you decide to go into missions guns blazing. Me, I prefer the stealthy approach and it's what made the game appeal to me in the first place. But missions don't offer enough solutions that involve stealth so its description is a bit misleading.
Oh and the PC version is really bugged.
  • edited November 2011
Wow, this thread gets buried fast.

Today's Daily Deal is Alien Zombie Megadeath, which I'm pretty sure was in the Halloween sale. £1.99 / $2.49

    Oblivion is $5 right now!

So uhh to a noob, I gots a few questions on this game.

1.I am defenently liking what I see with skyrim, mainly stuff such as me getting freedom of how to fight(EI duel wielding, one handed weapons, duel wielding magic, or duel wielding the same type of magic) how major is that in game?

2.What all can you do in this game? I assume explore, but what else can you do, IE crafting, alchemy(which I see in skyrim again)

    3.Dragons?

    4.Mods?

5.Uhh. I guess how much freedom do you have?

Im thinking it would be a good game while I wait for when I can get Skyrim.

You have full freedom on your fighting but no dual wielding iirc. Just don't pick Atronach as your sign if you want to go all mage. This would give you a rough start but get easier later in the game when more enemies use magic.

You cannot craft new items but you can repair yours. Alchemy is there and works similar to Skyrim. No cooking though.

No and Oh yes. There are enough mods to keep you playing throughout the next year.
    Gman5852 wrote: »

Same as Skyrim. There is the first Tutorial dungeon, that can be skipped with mods (not recommended for first time players) and after that you can do whatever you please. I would even recommend forgetting about the main quest completely because:
    a) it isn't good
    b) it makes all those stupid Oblivion-Gates appear if you enter Kvatch. Avoid that city at all cost!

Also: Get the GOTY Deluxe version and not the GOTY. The DLC included is quite good and not avaiabale seperately on steam. Especially not at this price. Also it makes you the proud owner of the horse armor amongst other (a lot greater) things.
  • edited November 2011
Yes, the Midweek Madness is indeed The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. The standard GotY edition is £3.74 / $4.99, but as der_ketzer says, you don't want that version.

No, you want the GotY Deluxe Edition, with the super special horse armour! And other DLC that's not available on the Steam version otherwise. That version's £4.99 / $6.24, but it's worth the extra buck or two.

Crap. I bought Oblivion previously, and got the standard GOTY Edition.

How am I supposed to get that DLC?

Overpriced through Bethesda's site or not at all.
Most of the things you miss out on are not really noteworthy but there is the dagger-quest and some nice "homes" for you to put your stuff in if you purchase all stuff for them. Basically something to spend your in-game money on once you are stinkin' rich.
And of course dat horse armor.

Well, it's only 6 bucks. I wonder if there is a way for me to buy the Deluxe and have it overwrite the Standard version.

No. Maybe if you contact support. Also: this is really the only source for these DLCs on the PC it seems. The Oblivion site directs you to the 360 downloads only.

You really shouldn't bother too much with it. The content consists of:

-Houses: These houses contain stupidly overpowered equipment and bonuses and they come with one really lame quest.
    -Horse Armor: 'Nuff said.
-Mehrune's Razor: THIS quest is actually fairly solid, but it's also short. The Razor completes the set of Daedric , allo ing you to have an Artifact for every Daedric Lord, lore-wise the whole quest makes sense and has some series fan fanservice, and it's really one of the few quests that is really geared in such a way that thief/assassin builds have their own path through it. All the same, you aren't missing that much here, maybe a couple hours at most. It sells on Xbox Live for 250 Microsoft Points, or about $3.

The original site for buying PC DLC direct from bethesda seems to not exist anymore, so yeah, the only way to get it on PC now is through that Deluxe pack or the Shivering Isles retail disc.
  • edited November 2011
Well, that kinda sucks. Pretty sure I don't have the Deluxe edition.Oh well, that's what torent sites are for :D

(I'm totally kidding, please don't insult me)

Today's Daily Deal is Diner Dash: Hometown Hero. What is this, the 10th Diner Dash game? Jesus, who's buying all these things? Anyway, this one's £2.99 / $3.40.

Also, I'm gonna stop doing the Console Craziness thing. Partly because the PS3 one was an absolute bitch to go through, but mostly because my XBox Live account has been locked due to some asshole 'unauthorised access'ing it and buying 5,000 points. It'll be a month before I get it back, so even if there were any great deals, I wouldn't know what they were nor could I buy them.

I have been thinking about a way.
    1. Create a new account
    2. Buy the GOTY Deluxe through that account / gift it for that account
    3. Install the game with the new account (the data downloaded from the other account should be used since it is in the common directory...
    4. Switching back to the old account
    5. ???
    6. Profit You *have* the DLC on your old account.

    - This should be possible because the DLC is just a mod you pay for
    - The DLC was available for the PC elsewhere
    - It is absolutely legal
    - You still have the game + DLC on the second account if it doesn't work

This week's Weekend Deal is the Magicka series. The core game itself is free-to-play over the weekend, but there's also 75% off the game should you like it. Three different packs, so I'll list 'em.

    Magicka: £1.99 / $2.49
Magicka 4-Pack (One for you, three to gift): £5.99 / $7.49
Magicka Complete (Includes original game, Magicka: Vietnam and all current DLC): £4.24 / $6.24

Today's Daily Deal is Sim City 4: Deluxe, which is the original game (the original version of the fourth game, not the very original game, do you see what I did there) and the Rush Hour add-on. £2.50 / $5
