TTG: I used to work on episode 2 of the Walking Dead, but I took an arrow in the knee!

    ^^

I love the whole "we're victims of fanboi attacks." I didn't get the memo where society decided that patience and civility were discarded.

As was previously mentioned, complain all you want, but it's tiring to see people create an account just to start throwing the weight of their money around. Maybe some of you guys don't like the fact that we don't have the same opinion as you, and maybe we don't like that you don't have the same opinion as us...but my goodness.

Episode 2 will come. It will be great. Did it come out in May like you wanted? No. But is that really that big a deal? I mean that is what baffles me here. You guys are all out of shape over a month.

I've been waiting way over a month for Bioware to release some sort of reasonable ending for the Mass Effect series. I was pretty much one of those calm fans that acknowledged that ME3 was one of the best games I had ever played...until the ending...which violated everything that I was promised.

But you never saw me say, "Forget you, Bioware! Your games are terrible! I'll never buy another Bioware game again because you're a bunch of liars and baby killers!"

And yet...just for merely stating that I disliked the ending, I suppose that labeled me as a "horrible Bioware fanboi" that joined the group of dissenters that hated ME3's ending and was never happy about anything. Too fickle. Too bloated by fandom and my own insecure views of the universe.

Pfft. The ending was just bad. The polarizing situation, however, has sort of put me on that side of the fence where the media disliked me for wanting to change art, half the Bioware community apparently disliked me for forcing Bioware to make adjustments, etc. I guess that is kind of like how you guys feel having to defend yourselves for being so upset about the principal of waiting and TTG not actually giving you a definitive date.

    Cool.

But this is a community. We're here to discuss things about our favorite games. The way I see it...because I really don't know since I joined the forums after this game...is that a lot of players must not have been familiar with TTG until they picked up The Walking Dead series. Unless you had a lot of angry old school gamers wanting to burn people alive because Monkey Island Episode # was delayed. Or you know...the delays that were Jurassic Park.

But it does get kind of disruptive when people join just to flip out. I mean this isn't exactly a community of haters. If we're trying to calm people down, I don't see that as a problem. Maybe there is a slight bit of antagonism...I think, at least on my part, it's just confusion. I don't understand...at all...why there is so much hate. Seriously. I guess I'm really dense or something.

I should have been British or something. I'm quite happy to just patiently wait in the line queue or something. You already bought the game...the rest of it will be released...you're upset, but you know, it happens. It's okay. But we'll get there. We'll play the game. We'll be happy.

If you're that anxious for the next game, why don't you just join in on the discussions about what might happen next. Or learn a new skill. Do some crunches! Eat a muffin! Start reading the Dresden Files series starting with Storm Front. Look and see if there are any sales going on Steam that you might enjoy.

I've kind of found that life sort of makes me forget about the space between TWD Episode 1 and 2.

Yeaaah there's a lot of hate goin on over in the Project Zomboid forums right now cuz of that. They said they had a slight issue so it'd take a few days to get the release out. That was early last month. They said "a few more days." "Oh we found the bug!" Then "a few more days." "We're making progress." A few more days. lol

Ouch. That's why I'm normally quite content with Telltale only giving a month for the release, not some fixed release date. :(

I didn't count how many times Thewaitingdead spelt it out for you, but once more because you apparently missed it, the majority of people are more angry because of the lack of communication from TTG, not the delay, not the waiting!!!!

Yes, we're going in circles. To be expected on 27 pages... ;)

And "Holiday", what about continued use of your first account "Back Spasm". There's sincerely no need to pass for a one post wonder if you're actually not.

But still... That battery thread looks like the sort of topic I might have something to say about (in defense of the reporter, even). Maybe I'll wander by and throw a couple cents in....

Yes! Go do that! I posted some hilarious pictures in there!! :D :D

Its funny. 27 pages and 90% filled with the same stuff. I think we can all agree on one thing. When the game comes out we will all be relieved and happy :) game on

I told you I was dense, guys. And I also included that I recognized that you were upset about lack of communication. But it's just not something that sends any red flags to me I guess.

And at least we're kind of keeping on topic with the thread, ya know? About when the game will be released. :D

I can't wait to play Episode 2 though. It does seem to have a lot more epicness to it from the "next on...The Walking Dead" blip.

ThewaitingDead, people who come onto the forums and complain in such a manner as yourself are welcome! infact i can see actual upsides to a constructive complaint with a clear and distinct message, its the people who join, swear abit, threaten lawsuits, have little to no justification (possibly not the right word but heck im tired so :P ) to back up there complaint and basically act like spoilt brats just get on peoples nerves.

TL: DR - Take note of ThewaitingDead on how to constructively structure your complaints :D
    Thank you :)

-If you think that not getting mad and patiently waiting is okay then i respect your opinion(NOT sarcasm). But i do believe that it is also the other customers choice to express their opinion(in a kindly manner of course) and i respect that as well.

-Again, it is only my opinion but i believe this situation is different because in that case you're trying to change something that hadnt passed a deadline you were promised but an in-game situation, were you wrong? NO. Because you're a customer and you have the choice to express your opinion even if it might seem absurd to other people, it's your opinion and if you expressed it kindly i believe you should've be respected(I'm not saying the ending should be changed all i'm saying is that every opinion should be respected, to a limit of course(killing someone etc.))
-Also, you said you were promised a good ending. Now again in my own opinion, a 'good' ending might vary from one person to another. So if that company said 'we promised a good ending, and this is the definition of good for us' then i think they cant be completely wrong, hovewer in this case, we're talking about something certain, 'monthly' cannot vary(i mean it cannot vary from 1 month to 2 months imo)

    - I already wrote this but i'm going to write this one again too(the mods are going to get furious...). I think comparison is just wrong, we bought 'this' game, and we want information for 'this' game, so even if TTG were bad or good with the customer support of their previous games, i believe they should be better with this game no matter what. If you were good before, you should be good again, if you were bad before, you should try HARD to be better this time.

Yes, we're going in circles. To be expected on 27 pages... ;)
    - Yes we are :). But think everyone should express themselves(not saying you're saying the opposite). So if someone comes and expresses their disappointment with TTG for once than that's okay(So in this case, me, writing the same things again is wrong, i just cant help it:o) because if no one wrote anything because it had been written before, there would only be a few posts and TTG would say 'oh noones mad', but if everyone wrote their opinion once, there would be many posts and TTG would say....well i think they still wouldnt say anything, but still you gotta try and show the number of people disappointed with TTG.

Yeah that is pretty reasonable. I hope we all get what we want in the end if that means anything to you. The Internet has pretty much become a "Game of Thrones" in regards to personal opinion. Thanks for elaborating on that. =)

    Greetings everyone,
Let me start by saying YES I am another person that has read some of the posts and knows that he isn't the first to complain. I'm sorry in advance, I just need to vent...

If the 2nd episode is really due out in "Late June" as many people have speculated than I want my money back. I really enjoyed this game and played it through a few times already in anticipation of the 2nd episode.

Had I known that TTG was going to delay the game by a month I would have NEVER of purchased it to start with. I was surprised as to how short the first episode was, let alone the delay of the 2nd.

I am a disgruntled customer and I want a rep from TTG to address this issue publicly (on the main page) giving the fans a true explanation as to why we have to wait.

Thank you for listening to me vent. I know its all been said before.

My sympathy to the TTG team for having the first delayed game in video game history. A truly heavy burden they carry.
  • edited June 2012
We should be apologising to them guys, with today's technology updating prominent issues is near impossible, it's not like they can just go on the forums and let everyone know they are sorry...maybe they are zombies and just don't have the cognitive skills :p

I have given up. I got so tired of waiting, that now I just bought BTTF and finished the first episode. LOL, I see TTG tricks now! They just want to keep me around to buy more of their products!!! Sly devils!

Jurassic Park The Game it's ok if you like interactive movies AND if you are a Jurassic Park fan. If not, I would recommend you to spend the money in another thing. ;)

Besides, I think it's expensive for what it is.

The story it's fine and I like it.

I'm sure you are going to get flamed a lot by some of the people on this forum but I agree with you completely. If they say 30 days or a month then it should be 30 days or a month, not longer. If you don't know how long it will be then say "I don't know"

This has soured me on the episodic type games and on the company as well. While I might buy again in the future I'd be less likely to buy from them and probably wouldn't buy an episodic game until all episodes are released.

The problem is that in this type of game is that the episode really isn't as much fun to play the second time around and too much time is passing to keep you entranced.
