Hate to burst your bubble be we probably will not find out until people who were invited start posting up articles in magazines or websites.... SOOOO we will probably not hear anything that day.... THEN after those things are posted they might link them in the blog here.
We'll be revealing our projects to the press at our event on February 17. Look for coverage following our event.

OK, "coverage" doesn't exactly mean "our blog". But I'm rather sure that's what Alan meant.

Plus for JA and BTTF, didnt they post the announcement on youtube as well?
They could easily do the same.

If Telltale doesn't bother to inform us and we have to wait for the information to trickle down to us, I propose we all make up a phony game and pretend it's been announced. Maybe something terrible or dumb that will get Telltale to pipe up with the truth, like Mein Kampf: The Game, only not that terrible or dumb.

We can say that the news was actually that Uwe Boll will be making a series of movies based on TTG games.

Alone in the Dark: The Movie: The Game

Sounds like Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game.

Also, this thread is probably going to be derailed again. :P

Telltale will announce the third title in their Universal deal (with Capcom too!): using the Telltale Tool to make a full-length animated movie based off that game.

Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game: The Movie!

Shortly after the movie's release, they'll release the game based on it, Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game: The Movie: The Game.

(Hey, I went to see that new Tron movie the other day... No charge! [Yes, this is a joke. Read it aloud if you don't understand.])

    Did somebody say derailed?

Tack on LEGO to the front of that, toss in a Broadway musical somewhere in the middle, then finish it off with an HD Remix and you've got my support.

Ooo, I know - how about a Sesame Street game? Oh wait...
  • edited February 2011
    OK, here's my guesses:

    1) "The Walking Dead", or something entirely different that nevertheless all the fans of "The Walking Dead" will retrospectively claim also closely fits the clues that lead them to guess it was "The Walking Dead"
    2) "Something else at the Inventory" (I'm voting for "The C.O.P.S. Present Classic Gaming Night at the Inventory", so we can have Pacman vs Mario)
    3) A full season of "Puzzle Agent"
    4) A surprise - either something entirely unexpected (like a Smurfs game) or something that isn't a pre-existing licence so we can't possibly guess what it is
    5) The fifth slot is of course the one set aside for "Tales of Monkey Island vol 2" - so it will probably turn out to be something else. "Sam & Max" Season 4 is acceptable at a pinch

Nope. Due to vague wording, there's a chance it'll be shown to the press and the press are told that mums the word until X day at X time.

Psh. Superstition. If it made Jebus angry (and he were real) then you'd be dead by now.

That's not even the superstition. The superstition is that the "number" of "The Beast"(one of two in Revelations, this one being "The False Prophet) will be 666, and to beware of this figure. It isn't the number itself that is considered an issue, but rather the being that can be identified by this number. One view basically views this as a contemporary slander/assessment of the then-Emperor Nero, and there is some pretty convincing evidence to the concept.

Well, in my quest for waiting on the 3ds, I have created milestones for each main day.
This is one of them, AND I CANT WAIT!!
And if anyone cares, the next milestone is Pokemon Black and Whites release.

Whatever. It's still lousy fiction. I like my mythology in Viking flavor, thank you very much. Tastes like mead and mutton.

Don't worry, according to QI and Wikipedia the real number of the beast is 616 so you are safe.
But I can't say the same for Teeth...

Oh, oh, oh. I have just gotten the best idea for a rumor to spread. An intellectual property that's new, yet big-time. Implausible and plausible all at once.

    Bob's Burgers.
